- good location - spacious room, spacious balcony, lake view - plenty of wardrobe space - bathroom with a bathtub - coffee and tea machine, new capsules and bottled water every day - bathrobe and slippers without the need for an explicit request - small but adequate pool, plenty of towels available - plenty of choice for breakfast - restaurant and bar open for lunch/dinner

- a couple of times the restaurant service could have been better (was good most of the time) - underground garage has slanted parking places, where a pair of wheels sinks in a kind of holder; this is a bit strange when used, but ultimately ok

Location is wonderful. Reception will help you with any enquiries, very efficient and friendly. Cleaning was excellent. Very spacious and comfortable rooms and bathroom.

Breakfast buffet was a bit boring, literally never changed in selection during our stay. Would be nice to have more variety in sweet baked goods and maybe in fresh fruits/meats/cheese section.

Big Hotel with Big rooms. The room was very clean and had a nice, spacey baathroom. The room also had a sweet balcony. The hotel has it's own fitness room of which we took advantage and also has a kid's corner with many games to play with in case it is raining outside.

There was a parking possible, inside the facility, but it is really sportive to park there. (It's on an 'iron' platform that is inclined)

Service of the staff. They did everything they could think of to make us feel welcome and happy during our short stay. A birthday celebration with breakfast in the room was, with lack of a better word, perfect.

Parking garage is a great convenience en security, but the slanted ribbed ramps on which you park are a bit of a challenge.

Hotel is very well located, on the Lakefront and about 8 minutes walk from train station. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I personally valued availability of a firm bed mattress which is unlike most hotels, providing good rest after a busy day's sightseeing. The breakfast buffet served good quality options. The staff were very attentive, quickly replacing the defective coffee machine in room. Would definitely stay here again.

Although the room was very clean and well maintained, curtains could use a freshen up, as the ends were dirty and scuffed a little.

Location. Friendly staff. Facilities. Nothing is too much trouble. We extended our stay, as we liked it so much. 100% would stay again, lots to do in the area too. Free public transport pass is helpful.

Make sure you don't get a room with shared aircon. The syswork independently, but if your balcony has the aircon unit, you are toast if your neighbour has the aircon on and you are using your balcony.

Seldomly I have experienced such friendly and friendly staff. Without asking I was offered an upgrade to a room with a stunning lakeview and at breakfast the waiter kept coming back to ask if there is anything else we need as the food was already being carried back to the kitchen. The room itself was also very spacious, had modern appliances and a comfortable bed. Great location as well.

Without considering the upgrade we got, the room would have been quite expensive I feel, especially for off-season. But when looking at other hotels, the price level seemed to be relatively high in general in Locarno. Wondering how it will be like in high season in summer.

Worth the price. A beautiful hotel in a prime location with friendly and attentive staff. The view is great. The breakfast buffet features a great selection of food options. The sky lounge on the roof top is the perfect spot to look at the beautiful scenery and soak up the moment.

Two staff members at the reception who checked us in and out were wonderful, but there was one other (more senior?) staff member who we felt was perhaps spending a bit too long time chatting in a loud voice with some guests while others waited in line.

Room was huge and clearly quite recently done (bathroom also). Had loads of space and storage. Beds were big and very comfortable, with nice bedding. Pool area is great, although unfortunately quite shady at this time of year (so only really sun on the loungers between about 12-4pm). Nice breakfast.

Would have been nice to have had a drink from the bar after we returned from dinner at a restaurant but all closed up - probably not enough guests to warrant it but think a hotel bar would usually be open until midnight.

The location right on the lake is beautiful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Wonderful water pressure in the shower. The balcony was a bonus to sit and watch the activity on the lake. Breakfast was very enjoyable on the terrace, again with views of the garden, pool and lake.

Parking for vehicles larger taller than 2m is a problem if hotel parking full.
