This is our 3rd stay but now its had a full make over its really nice, the rooms are great, the chap that checked us in was really good, our evening meal was good but not quite up to a standard you would go wow that was loverly....
Sorry Aysgarth but the breakfast was a total disaster I told my friends that the breakfast is amazing BUT omg what a let down, it was a total shambles the young girls just didn't know how to serve or communicate with guests, no one could get in the breakfast area because the girls forgot to unlock the doors, getting a coffee or tea at the terrible machine was a disaster I was so disappointed.. Then the breakfast eventually turned up and it was dry as sticks yuck... I hate writing this BUT you need to resolve it go back to serving your brilliant breakfasts and ditch that dam drinks machine it terrible... we will be coming back soon so I hope to see a big improvement or I will voice my thoughts..

The setting of the hotel is stunning and near the waterfalls. Very peaceful. The night restaurant meal was beautiful.
Had to wait a long time for breakfast and when it came the bacon was over done like boot leather but the meal in the restaurantthe night beforewas beautiful. You can't check in till 4pm and check out is 10 so for the price you pay you don't get a lot of time for your room think this needs to be sorted. Breakfast finished at 10am but you had to check out by 10 am

Loved the location Perfect for exploring the falls Food was plentiful to choose from, excellent breakfast and reasonably priced A little expensive but a beautifully appointed room with a private terrace is expected to come at a cost and was worth it
The hedges around the terrace need cutting as it sadly obscured what would have been a lovely vista Dining was a lengthy experience Although the servers were many and perfect in manners the wait to take orders and be served food was long The couple on the next table left before having dessert after waiting for over 30 minutes for ice cream! Breakfast was the same lengthy wait despite being almost empty when we attended

A lovely hotel in a beautiful area.
Young inexperienced staff were employed. All very polite and eager to provide a good service but still need basic knowledge of the industry. For example, I asked in the Palmers restaurant if there would be anchovies on the Caesar salad? I was assured there weren't, as they weren't listed on the menu choice. There were anchovies - she was very apologetic - she had no idea! I said anchovies should at least be listed on the menu choice for people with fish allergies. She just said she would feedback this to the chef. I understand people have to learn, but there should be more management input when training.

Everything was fantastic .... Staff were cheerful and helpful..Super clean everywhere and although our room was small, it had everything we needed and was decorated/accessorised to a really high standard . The bed was gorgeous with really good quality bedding and a great mattress etc. We were on the road side on the top floor, could hear a little road noise but didn't disturb us... View was gorgeous. Breakfast and dinner were both really good , especially the breakfast!
There is building work going on out the back and it spoils the view from the gorgeous dining room which is a shame but obviously it's only temporary and I'm sure will be lovely once finished.

Me and my partner stayed at Aysgarth Falls Hotel for one night. Our well behaved dog came along too. It was such a lovely experience. We wish we could have stayed for an extra night! It is set in such a beautiful location. It was perfect for taking our dog out for a walk. The falls are amazing and well worth a visit. They are just a short walk away from the hotel. Our room was warm and comfortable. It was clean and modern with a nice roomy shower and tea/coffee facilities. We stayed in one of the cottages next to the hotel. We had lunch when we arrived and we booked a meal in the restaurant in the evening. The food was amazing. We were very impressed! There was plenty of choice, and it was plentiful and well presented. I chose the steak and ale pie, which is very popular. It was delicious! There is a good selection of drinks to choose from. We had breakfast in the morning. There was a selection of cereals, porridge, pastries, fresh fruit juices. You could help yourself to these. We then ordered from the menu for our main breakfast. There was lots of choice. We opted for the full English breakfast, which was delicious! I had a pot of tea, and they especially made a pot of decaffeinated coffee for my partner. The chef even popped out to see us, and our dog was more than happy when he was offered a sausage! It was lovely that he wasn't left out. There are certain areas of the restaurant where you can eat with your four-legged friends. There are also lounges where you can eat without dogs. They cater for all. Overall, it was a lovely experience. We would most definitely like to stay there again.

Everything was outstanding. Location, environment, staff, food, drink, views, room. Just perfect. Our evening meal was absolutely exceptional and staff treated us like regulars.
After the stunning evening meal, I ordered eggs Benedict for breakfast (I'm searching for the perfect eggs Benedict everywhere I go) and felt disappointed if I'm honest. Unbuttered bread, excellently cooked poached eggs and a fair hollandaise but, no ham (although the bacon was very good quality) importantly, no rocket. Not a great dish but the addition of cereals, fruit and pastries helped.

What can i say, other than you have to come and visit this place. Lovely stone feature building from the outside, clean and fresh looking deco inside which runs throughout from the bar to the rooms - it was all done very nicely. The food was fantastic. The beds where very comfortable. We stayed in the Aysgarth suite, roll top bath, large shower and bathroom and probably one of the best beds and nights sleep we've had. The room has everything you need, coffee and tea making facilities, TV with Netflix, the nature walks up and down the falls and beyond to Bolton Castle are all clearly marked and easy to navigate. Staff was fab! Shout to Lee, Alex and Jake who made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here Jan 3rd - 5th and had an epic snowfall during the night - like nothing ive ever seen before, the staff didn't hassle us one bit to leave, instead, let us keep the room til we decided it was time for us to depart and maintained their professionalism and enthusiasm throughout despite what was probably testing circumstances... They even offered us the room for an extra night at a reduced rate due to severe weather conditions, and it was looking like we might not be able to depart and we was stranded - they even offered spades for us to dig the car out! (yes, it was that deep) but we dug out and we made it home... slowly... All in all, highly recommended!!
I cant think of a single thing - if im being picky, on the Saturday night, we could hear the sounds from either a noisy bunch of guests or noise from the bar - couldn't decide which it was, but the noise died down at a reasonable hour, so all was fine... and it really was nothing. Certainly didn't spoil anything for us.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The view from the breakfast room was lovely, next to large windows overlooking the hills. Room was fine, bathroom nice and clean with excellent shower. Our room was in a separate annexe next to the hotel. Mattress was lumpy and the pillows were flat and not very comfortable. I’d take my own next time. Take hangers as only two provided. TV was very small and up high on the wall, which wasn’t a problem for us as we never watch TV in hotels. We had evening meals in the hotel. They weren’t cheap but I had the spicy chicken starter which was delicious. The hotel is near the falls-a very hilly walk down, but not near any other pubs or shops. You’d have to drive anywhere. We had a nice stay, lovely pub and music nice ambient and not too loud!
Mattress and pillows not very comfortable. Only 2 hangers in wardrobe.

We loved it! The first room we stayed in was in the annex and was lovely, then on our return we stayed in a lovely room on the 3rd floor. Lots of steps, but worth the climb. The breakfast was amazing and we also enjoyed getting a drink in the pub, and delicious dinner. The portions were so large they were enough for 2. The staff was friendly and helpful, even providing us a take away breakfast when we needed to leave early. Walking distance to the Aysgarth Falls and a quick drive to Castle Bolton and to Hawes to visit the creamery.
