From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. What a lovely warm welcome at reception and the complimentary return shuttle to town. The bedroom was very impressive with a fantastic view of the sea. We ate in the restaurant having a very enjoyable with food very well presented by Kat. Breakfast was again faultless with all members of staff working to make even breakfast a special experience. Our only regret is we were only staying for one night. Well done to you all, you made our stay in Hermanus very memorable.

Our experience at Schulphoek house was a wow from start to finish! Our room was fantastic with a large bathroom, shower with fluffy towels and a dressing area. The bedroom was tastefully decorated spotless and the icing on the cake was the full picture window view of the ocean which took our breath away. The staff were very attentive always pleased to help and nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are impressive with a delightful pool with lots of sun loungers. We decided to go half board and we definitely got value for money. If we were in that area again we would not hesitate to stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at Schulphoek for three days as our honeymoon. The facilities are modern and the spaces are exceptionally clean. Even more importantly the staff are superb - always friendly and approachable whilst always maintaining upmost respect and professionalism. This really is an awesome team that can be proud of themselves!

The breakfast offering was comprehensive and delicious, we did however find the lunch/dinner offering a bit light and would recommend a broader offering. Thanks Schulphoek, see you again!

Nomfundo the Hotel Manager was efficient, welcoming and fun! She and her staff made our stay at Schulphoek perfect. Upon arrival my husband and I had a first class massage, which I highly recommend. The hotel is stunning and the views of the South Atlantic Ocean were breathtaking from our Bedroom 1, Scallop. The food needs a mention too as it was superb. Lastly it was great having our car washed which was complimentary and we were most impressed. Overall I highly recommend this Hotel.

We booked a room with sea view and it was excellent! The room was very spacious, curtains open automatically and you can enjoy the view. The location is excellent! They provide a shuttle service which is complimentary on the first day. The variety for breakfast was great as well, the food was amazing, we loved our stay!

They need to improve the cleanliness of the property. We had to ask the manager to change our bed late in the evening, because it was full of unpleasant stains. They said it was just a one time problem, but the towels were very dirty in our room as well as the towels in the sauna were not clean neither. We didn’t feel they clean the property well, but all the rest was amazing.

Initial reception at the front desk. Not that he was unpleasant or anything like that... it is just that he had too much to do and was stressed by multiple demanding guests. It was not his fault and he was welcoming. My recommendation is to have a little more support staff at times where there is a higher load. Also the communication between booking.com and the hotel was not good as our paperwork was in the wrong name and our rooms a bit mixed up.

Schulphoek Beachfront Boutique Hotel is the perfect retreat for relaxation and taking in the stunning scenery. The rooms are beautifully designed with luxurious touches, offering both comfort and elegance. Waking up to the breathtaking ocean view from the room was truly unforgettable.

The only downside was that the walls were not very soundproof, so I could occasionally hear movements and conversations from the neighbouring rooms.

The customer service was exceptional. Aminah was a great host and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast hospitality was first class, and the complimentary car wash was a lovely touch. The amenities was plentiful and the property was felt very secure.

A very small note but the shower pressure could have been a bit more powerful and the water could have been a bit hotter but this wouldn’t deter us from coming back again.

The property is simply stunning. You know you’ve found a gem when you’re sad to be leaving. Every member of the team was exceptional. We had dinner in the restaurant which was a late decision to do so, but it blew us away. Breakfast was delicious too. The location is breathtaking - the views out to the bay are incredible. If we are ever back in the area, this is the first place I’d book - and for longer next time!

The view from the bedroom is just breathtaking. The staff and service was fantastic as they couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was great. A great massage spa and well appointed swimming pool. A highlight were the flowers and chocolates left in the room for my wife's. 40th birthday celebrations.

The dinner was average, however this is in comparison to all of the other outstanding points. Saying this, as everything else was way above expectation it was not easy to find fault.
