Lovely boutique hotel. Rooms above their bar and they also have a restaurant a few doors down. Fantastic location on the top of Catherine Street. So straight walk down into Frome town. Lotte was lovely, as were all the staff. Especially Hattie, her gorgeous little doggie we fell in love with! Very comfortable room with lovely decor, fantastic shower and very soft bed linen. We ate at the restaurant one night, which was fantastic and the atmosphere is lovely. We would highly recommend. We also had drinks a couple of nights at the Bar Lotte and sat outside at bistro tables watching the world and their dogs go by. Just a very lovely and relaxed place to stay. We were very lucky with the weather and Bistro Lotte definitely had that French summer vibe!
Just to note that the room we stayed in looks over the street so there was traffic noise as we had the windows open. Not excessive just something to note if you’re not used to that. Also we did feel for the price, I would expect breakfast to be included. Having said that, it’s not a deal breaker but would have been nice.

Cute room above a lovely french restaurant and bar! Super comfy large bed and excellent shower. The room could do with some more decor/soft furnishing touches but all in all was very functional and comfortable.
Frustratingly the wifi didn't work for us at any point across the 3 nights, the passwords given in the room were incorrect and the extra ones given by the bar also didn't work! Breakfast wasn't included in the room price and we dined in restaurant 2 out of the 3 nights. It would be great to either get breakfast included or a discount on eating in the restaurant when staying in the rooms.

A warm welcome and genuine interest and attention from the owner. Beautiful building full of character and charm in a beautiful town. Parking was over the road and free which was a bonus. The rooms have been decorated and furnished beautifully with charm and character. The owner told me that she was previously cabin crew and knows that a decent bed and decent shower are what most people want. The bed was large and comfortable with luxury bedding - we slept very well. The shower was amazing - pressure and hot water in a large spacious cubicle with complimentary luxury toiletries - I didn't want to get out ! Kettle and water provided along with coffee bags and luxury tea bags - often when I travel I don't use the kettle as it is dirty and limescaled. This kettle looks likes it is new - the coffee bags were excellent , even the cups were a good quality. It would be important to note that Frome and the street which Bistro Lotte is on are extremely hilly with cobbled winding streets - I could imagine anyone with reduced mobility would struggle. The steps into the rooms are consistent with an older building and again anyone with reduced mobility would struggle. Breakfast was relaxed and enjoyable - the fruit/yoghurt platter was fresh and delicious . freshly made etc. We had already made dinner plans otherwise we would have booked for Dinner here too. Lively little family friendly bistro with charm and character - judging by the quality of the food delivery that morning I'm sure it would be very enjoyable. We regularly visit this area to see Family and so far we haven't had a great experience - I'm so glad we found this place and will definitely be back. 11 am check out time is another bonus. Thank you so much to all the staff at Bistro Lotte and we will hopefully see you soon. ( We have recommended to other members of the family too)
Having to leave - we would happily have stayed a few more days.

Perfectly located in the quirky/Indie part of Frome, with on street parking available nearby. A great history to the building carefully explained to us by one of the team. Clean, compact bedroom on the 2nd floor with a great sized light and airy shower room and all the usual facilities. Staff were bright and cheery throughout our stay which included dinner and breakfast. Food was great, prepared by a team with open pass into the kitchen which added interest. I would have liked to have known more about the provenance of the food, seasonality, suppliers and if organic or not. Reasonably priced menu too. Bistro Lotte also has their own bar a couple of doors away offering great array of cocktails and a very French ambience. All in all a great place to stay and for one or two nights to explore the area.
As outlined above, very little really.

Loved all the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Towels were soft, fluffy, and the water pressure was just right. There were pillow sprays, a comfy mattress, and pillows. Very clean and polished. We enjoyed the breakfast selections, coffee, and the sourdough toasts, which were delicious, and the atmosphere was filled with locals and visitors alike. Lotte and her staff were busy but always friendly! Lunch was superb; we all ordered the galettes, and the chef hit the mark! Overall, we had a fantastic time!
Water could have been replenished in the room each day.

Loved the decor. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful shower and bathroom. Variety of teas available with fresh milk. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Lots of attention to detail. We ate dinner in the bistro and the food was amazing. On the way home we stopped at Shearwater Cabin for breakfast. Beautiful place by a lake. Well worth a visit.
There was nothing we didn’t like but just be aware the family room is at the top of a steep flight of stairs. There is no lift available. Ask for a different room if you have mobility issues.

The Fruit Platter breakfast. So simple but extremely well executed. Delicious. We also enjoyed our evening meal which was of high quality and very tasty, well presented. Recommend using the restaurant, nice ambience, lighting and background music.
One small matter, nothing that really detracted from our stay. The in room refreshments did not include any coffee, or milk. This was very quickly remedy by the excellent staff. I am not sure about the fancy teas and coffee bags. They look nice, but are not that pleasant to drink!

I had a comfortable stay and enjoyed some excellent meals in the Bistro. Lotte and the staff were all very attentive and helpful. The bed was comfortable and I was grateful that they changed the duvet to sheet, as it was very hot. The bathroom facilities were very good. Overall, very comfortable stay.
These are all very minor, but the shower floor was quite slippery as the water drained away quite slowly. It might benefit from a mat. The coffee bags in with the tea pigs, overpowered the taste of the tea.

The bed and pillows were so exceptionally comfortable; shower was one of the best; nice coffee and tea selection; lovely botanical toiletries; warm quiet room despite the bar being downstairs; parking available; room serviced to a very good standard after two nights; location unparalleled. Would stay again
Room was a bit tired with the shower ceiling rocking when we switched it on; ran out of milk fairly quickly and had to ask for more; no option to include breakfast; no do not disturb sign; TV poorly positions and very small for such a big room; rooms are desperate for a floor length mirror, there was nowhere suitable to do makeup which isn't going to be a issue for everyone but was really problematic for me

Great location and the bedroom was clean. tidy and all you could need for a short break. The food in Bistro Lotto was excellent, either the great breakfast, gazpacho for lunch or an amazing evening meal. Special mention to the chefs and cafe staff who we couldn't fault. And finally, thank you Charlotte or 'Lotte' as she is known as, for being a brilliant, funny and warm host. This was our first stay in Frome visiting family and when we return we will stay with Lotte and her 'family' again.
