The room was good sized, and it included a microwave as well as a small refrigerator. The hotel is a relatively short walk to the Capitol building and the Legislative Office Building. Around the corner from the hotel is a deli, a liquor store, and several restaurants. Up the block are more restaurants, while around the corner is the Albany arena. A walk under the highway overpass takes you to more restaurants, including a soul food restaurant that opened a couple of years ago.

The hotel was fine. One issue is the availability of parking. My friend drove down from Utica and had to park on the street. She was expecting an indoor parking lot. Internet access and speed is always an issue with hotels. This one was no different. Slow and sometimes intermittent Internet service was an issue.

I have to say that after doing a long ride through the US I found this hotel to be the most clean and with greatest value. But more importantly was the amazing greeting we received by Gerald Bradshaw, the Front Office Manager who greeted us with such professionalism and kindness when we arrived after a long day of riding. He went out of this way to make our stay enjoyable. We’ve stayed in a lot of places, and he wins the prize for best reception and service. Thank you Gerald!

The staff were helpful, and we had a free laundry. Breakfast was included, which was enough. The room was spacious, especially the bathroom.

There was no attention to detail. The man at the front desk was very helpful and smiley, which was appreciated as we had driven a long way. But he could have ironed his shirt! Our room had a non window in that it had curtains, but the window was opaque and let in no natural light.

Large, very comfortable room with a full closet with hangers, a refrigerator and microwave, both regular and decaffeinated coffee for the coffee maker, and a bed with a good mattress and excellent pillows. Great location; friendly, helpful staff (including the maids). Very good breakfast, and both water and coffee were available all day on the ground floor, which was a nice amenity.

The room was nice

The front desk manager doesn't belong in hospitality. I spoke with him 3 times in one week prior to my stay. The first time he asked me to call in the morning because he just clocked in. It was like pulling teeth talking with him.

Hotel is in the center of Albany. Everything is in walking distance. Calm city with a lot of hostorical and beautifull buildings. Some nice restaurants. Little fintes they have and cleanliness is important for hotel management, which is positive.

Women receptionist was quite cold, with no desire to serve hotel guests. Strange and pretty much unexcaptable.

The location was amazing. The rooms were super clean, comfortable, and modern. Everything worked, nothing was worn out or broken.

Check is 3pm; arrived slightly after four. Watched 3 other groups check in, get their rooms and go on. Got to the desk and they had no rooms, even though we had a reservation. Had to wait about 30 minutes.

having to pay for parking or find parking and walk in a strange area. I paid for the hotel by the MVP arena in hopes of parking checking in and just walking to the place but I have to fight through concert traffic right for parking and then walk with my personal belongings down a dark ally and then walk to the mvp arena. paying for a ticket and then hotel room I should have had parking at least.

We liked the the friendly and caring staff. It was a very convenient location, as everything related to our stay was in walking distance of the location. The rooms were all up to date and nicely furnished, maintained well, and extremely clean.

I didn't like Marriott taking advantage of the room demand for that date by setting such a high nightly rate. However, I understand the room may have already been sold if they had been offering their normal rate for the room at the time of our booking. I further understand that's the nature of business in a free market.

The hospitality was amazing. Especially Gerald, he was so patient and helpful. The staff in the dining hall was amazing as well. If we come back to Albany this is definitely the place we will be staying at. Thank you guys for such a pleasurable stay.

There was honestly nothing not to like.
