Beautiful facility, well-located for our needs. We previously lived in Glenview and were visiting friends there, as well as visiting son and family in Edgewater, so Graduate Evanston was ideally located for both venues. Loved the look and feel of the hotel, including bar, dining lounge and room. Only minor complaint I have is that the AC unit had fan blowing cold air directly onto me when sleeping. Otherwise, enjoyed everything.

AC as noted above. Also, I think the wine and cocktail prices were a little on the high side, even for non-premium stuff.

A beautifully designed hotel in Evanston near Northwestern’s campus. The rooms were elegant, comfortable and spotless. It was lovely to sit in the rocking chairs on the veranda at different times during the day, and the surrounding neighborhood is also beautiful. It was an added bonus to walk to Lake Michigan (which is approximately three blocks) and Clark Street Beach. There are also many nice places to get coffee/eat close to the Graduate Evanston. And there’s a Wholefoods one block away.

It’s a beautiful property with a very personable and approachable team of staff members. The long front porch with rocking chairs is a great place to sit. It used to be long stay hotel in the 20s and is located on the very lovely Northwestern campus in the Lakeshore Historic District. The majestic Lake Michigan is two blocks away and there are stately houses on tree filled blocks There’s a wholefoods two boocks away.

The hotel was very nice, good facilities and the staff was all very pleasant and professional (with one exception.)

Your bartender Faye (African American woman) was absolutely terrible. She was rude to customers and other staff and really just awful. She had many chances over several days to change my impression but failed. I would get rid of her immediately.

We always love Graduate hotels and this was our favourite so far. The airline lost our luggage the staff couldnt have been more supportive and helpful. Location was perfect Staff were super kind and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble each and everyday

Music too loud in the bar and although we were the only guests they said they werent allowed to turn it down. Dining room suggested as quieter space but there were no easy chairs in there

The Graduate is located very close to Northwestern and is perfect for visiting parents, for school drop-off and move out days. The neighborhood is walkable and safe, and there is good train access to Chicago for touristing, so you can manage without a rental car. I'm a happy repeat visitor.

Elevators have been out for several months, and my room was on the 5th floor. On the upside, it means that after a few brisk trips up and down those stairs, I had my cardio for the day. The desk staff will help with bags, and they do warn you about the elevators. Presumably anyone with a heart condition can get a room on the first floor.

Location was excellent. A leafy street with quiet surroundings but only 5 minutes walk to restaurants, shops and the beach. Also very close to the university which has a beautiful campus. Spending an hour in the evening sitting on the verandah with a drink, watching the squirrels and birds was a lovely way to spend time!

The elevator was broken but thankfully our room was only on the 2nd floor so not too far to carry a case. A storm knocked out the WiFi one day of our stay but staff were very helpful trying to solve this.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Location can’t be beat—five minute walk to the lake one way and downtown Evanston the other way. Room was charming and comfortable. Sitting on the veranda was lovely.

During my visit, the hotel was transitioning to Hilton accounting systems. One result was that restaurant and bar expenses could not be charged to the room. Annoying.

I am a repeat visitor. As always, the room was great and the proximity to Northwestern Bienen School of Music even better. It's quieter than where I live, and the neighborhood is good and proximate. Also, restaurant downstairs is very credible. I had a good meal the evening my NU student was busy with concertizing.

It is an old building, which I love, and the top floors tend to be overly warm. This is remedied by opening the windows and letting the cool evening air in.

Breakfast was superb. Service was personal with our wait person and ambience perfect. Only a few customers and very quiet. Staff extremely courteous. We loved the chairs on the porch. The new elevator was a fine ride to the seventh floor.

We needed a larger room (next time). The television instructions were not user friendly.
