The value for the money can not be beat! Location was perfect, right in the heart of the center of the city for tourists. across the street from Mamilla outdoor Mall and a short walk to the old city as well as the shopping/cafe on Yafo street. I came with my family of young children. Its a no-frills but very comfortable hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is one floor of rooms (bottom floor of an apartment building it seems). Entrance doors have a code to get to the lobby. electric keycards for your room. The room was very comfortable. I had a room that had two bedrooms, each bedroom with its own bathroom so my wife and I slept separate from our kids but had easy access to them. There is a water cooler in the hallway with hot and cold water which was essential for making formula for my infant and when my kids were thirsty every morning and night. restaurants, cafes, public transportation nearby. Hot showers, comfortable beds, nice staff, good vibes. outdoor tent to chill in. good for families, couples, and solo travellers I'd say.

Yes, there are nicer hotels nearby that come with the breakfast, room service, pools, etc but they are much more expensive, 3-4x more and for my family I would've needed at least 2 rooms. There's not much closet space and housekeeping tends to be completed later in the day which is really not a big deal usually, but with 3 kids they tend to make more messes, so a slight inconvenience. Otherwise had a lovely stay and highly recommend if you're not looking to be pamperred.

My room was fine. It was clean, quiet, and had all the basics. Here is more of what you can expect: There is a coffee maker in your room, a larger one in the small reception area, and you have WIFI, but you have to ask for anything else you need (more hangers, a hair drier, iron, etc., and then they are provided). The location is very good. You can find just about everything you might wish for within walking distance, including restaurants, shopping, pharmacies, and some sightseeing. The hotel is in the Jewish section of Jerusalem, and the entry gate and door to the small building where you are staying are left unlocked from Friday night to Saturday night (Shabbat), but you can still lock the door to your own room and open it with your magnetic key. I had a restful stay at De Cardo Boutique and would definitely go back there again.

I was there for four nights and didn't have any issues at all.

On the positive side, this hotel has an amazing location in Jerusalem - close to Jaffa Street, the Old City, etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a pleasant space to relax in.

One major downside: Either the hotel or the neighboring building has installed a large outdoor TV, which draws crowds at night for news, football games, and other events. Unfortunately, the noise level from the gatherings made it nearly impossible to sleep, especially since the room’s window faced directly onto this area.

Price was right. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. A/C worked very well. I checked in late. My room key was left in an envelope on the front desk. Keep in mind that this is a no frills hotel. So, no lobby, no closet or safe in the room. There was a mini fridge so nice touch there

previous guest left their towel on the bathroom door and housekeeping missed it. Also, the room had a nespresso machine but no capsules which was a bummer. Lastly, despite checking the entire room several times, I could not find the light switch to turn on the lights by the mirror so that part of the room was dark

The hotel is located really well, right near an area with a lot of good places for food and coffee, and also right near the Old Town, so you can easily explore a lot of Jerusalem from here. The host was super friendly and accomodating, and the room was a cosy place. The bed was super comfortable, which was much needed for me, as I arrived very tired at the hotel, so I could immediately enjoy the comfort of the bed and the room.

The rooms are a bit noisy for sounds from outside or in the hallway. I was carrying earplugs, so it wasn't an issue when I was sleeping, but it might be for people who aren't expecting this.

Location can't be beat - mere steps from the Old City and a block from the Mamilla Mall. Room was clean and comfortable.

Front desk was not staffed. We communicated with the host by WhatsApp for the whole first day of our stay and didn't meet him till the very end - most of our direct communication was with the cleaning person which felt a little strange. But it worked!

The hotel is in an amazing location. Less than 10minutes walking to Jaffa Gate and 5 minutes from jaffa St and all the restaurants and bars. The room was very very clean and nice. There were a nespresso machine, a kettle and a fridge in the room and they also provided coffee pods for free. I definitely Reccomend it and I would stay there again I came to Jerusalem again! The girl at the reception was also very nice and always willing to help!

This was a fantastic place to stay to sere the Old City in Jerusalem. It is a 2-minute walk from the New Gate, so you can't get any closer to the Old City without staying inside the walls, which has its own special set of challenges (like very small rooms in old hotels). The De Cardo is all about the room. There is no lobby. There are no services other than one very kind and knowledgeable person at the desk. Our room was huge, especially by Israeli standards. I booked the larger room, which means it is actually two bedrooms and two baths for only a little more than the single room because it gives you room to unpack and spread out a little. Wi-Fi is fast. The TVs are big and facing very close to the bed and have Netflix. After all, how much time are you in the room when visiting Jerusalem? Do you need a lobby, gym and breakfast? If so, don't come here. But what you get here is a great room that is big and modern. The owner has basically taken the bottom floor of an apartment building and made 12 modern suites. The room is serviced every day and each room has an expresso machine with unlimited capsules. But there is no breakfast. Who needs breakfast? The place is surrounded by coffee bars, bistros, bakeries and restaurants, so that is no problem. Bottom line.... We started to spend 800 a night on a 5-star hotel near there and instead paid one-quarter that amount and got a room that is three times bigger. It's all about the room. Beds are new and comfortable. AC is great.

There is nothing not to like. The place is perfect for walking the Old City, which is why you are there. If you want a lobby to sit in, go somewhere else and get a much smaller, more expensive room that is way farther away from the Old City. That is your choice....,

Very good location, big and comfortable room, Good value All the staff at the front desk where very helpful and nice!

We had 3 rooms for our group. In one room one alarm will go off for no reason. In two of the rooms the shower switch was not working when we first arrived in the third room some light fixtures where not working.( the shower issues were fixed) The contact number listed for when no one was at the front desk did not work. There is a patio/terrace that is a little rundown which is a pity as it could be really beautiful with just some care and improvement

Great location, clean, very comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, effective AC, overall a great hotel room and a perfect base to explore Jerusalem.

Note that De Cardo is not a full hotel, just a single floor of rooms with a small random front desk in a very sketchy looking building. You get a great room in a great location for the price, but just know what you're getting into. I also would have liked to have a safe in the room.
