The bed and bedding was so comfortable, room temperature good and body wash/ soap was lovely. I dined in the adjoining restaurant and the sirloin steak with onion nest was absolutely 💯 delicious. Brownie sundae excellent too. I didn’t have breakfast. All restaurant staff and especially the accommodation receptionist were all very friendly and helpful.
My room was for less able people and I felt the bath and overshower were just too narrow and space restricted. I was looking forward to having a bath but it was too shallow and narrow so I didn’t. Also, there was only one light switch for the bed spotlights which was on the farthest side. No plug socket on the near side either. I felt safe and comfortable so these are not complaints but observations.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub/restaurant felt really luxurious, cosy and well designed. The food was very tasty. Despite some negatives about the room itself, it was in a great central location, very close to town and was a good base for a hot shower and a cosy sleep.
The room needs an upgrade. No plug sockets next to the bed, and other little things like the sink taps being loose, no hook on the bathroom door, chips in the bathtub, plaster or paint on the floor of the bathroom, the shower very basic.

This hotel was once a Premier Inn hence provides what you'd expect as the standard PI experience: comfortable beds, decent size and layout, a little tired by way of decor, but very acceptable and good standard of cleanliness. A 2 min walk from the PI part to what was possibly a Brewers Fayer is the restaurant. I had lunch and dinner there as well as breakfast. All the food was lovely (basic food but v nice) and piping hot and service was super. As a woman travelling on my own, they were thoughtful, both in where they seated me in the restaurant and at check in at the hotel part, by asking if I wanted to be out later than 11pm, because the doors lock at that time for safety. That was reassuring. I've read some complaints about the car parking: just make sure you input your reg number and that took care of it for me. There is a small number of rooms on two floors and so not huge swathes of people staying or for breakfast. It ws also nice and quiet. Parking was more than adequate. AND - because I stay in London a lot, I check for bed bugs. Absolutely no signs; and I know how important that little fact is! Price was excellent for what I received.
I had a great experience, thank you. Only negative would be that, where the room temerature controller had been in PI days, there was a repair, so clearly these have been removed. There is a tiny storage heater, but I expect it' be cooold in winter and hot on warm days, as there's no aircon, though there was a fan. I stayed at a temperate time of year where the open window was sufficient in daytime and the room temperature was fine as is at night. I'd stay there again and would give it a go in winter, to see how efficient that heater is.

The staff were fantastic, everyone of them helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They work together to make your stay feel like warm and homely. Greeted with a smile from them all. Well done.
The rooms need a lick of paint. Marks on the walls and discoloured skirting. The cooked breakfast had an oily smell and taste and not very warm. Need to replenish when the bread containers are empty. Smell in the pubs toilet.

Great welcome from the staff who let you know that if required assistant is available as needed. Fantastic hotel and the bed is so comfortable (I would definitely recommend a good alarm!). Also amazing feeling of being safe in the room(s) plus nice to have the option of a bath and shower. Highly recommended and a brilliant experience. Also friendly locals especially one who helped me find my way.
The price although, the hotel is amazing is off putting for longer stays unfortunately. Also slightly hidden but once found, extremely worth it!

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Would definitely stay there again. Quite location but close to the town centre. Nothing too much trouble, rooms made up every day after leaving card on the door. Nice to come back to on an evening. Nice restaurant next to the hotel as well. Lovely breakfast in a morning. Bank Quay and central railway station a 10-15 minute walk.
Nothing.

Staff were great! Could leave our bags until our room was ready. Our friends arrived after us and staff let them know our room was ready. We thought we left something in the room and the lady I spoke to on the phone went to check, retrieve it and called us back to let us know-thank you The staff in the bar were equally as good and the food, including breakfast, was delicious and not overly expensive.

Short walk into town. It's next to the restaurant that does the best food.. we've been a few times now and food is outstanding.. The breakfast is yummy too.. staff really friendly Kettle in the room which is great ( I wish ALL hotels had this basic facility) And an openable window for fresh air.. Such a simple thing but my God it makes a difference.. Staff were very friendly in hotel and restaurant
The rooms could do with a make over.. it's an old building, dated colour scheme, bathroom old. Very basic.. But it's a base, bed is comfy, shower is hot but not pressurised. Heating not sufficient.. But how long do you spend in the room anyway? So it didn't bother us tbh.. could do with a fridge in room too and an extra comfy chair ( strange as room big enough but only 1 comfy chair )

Waterside by Greene King Inns is situated in a fantastic location, with easy access to nearby attractions. Just a short distance from the hotel, there’s a lively venue perfect for family events, with great music and a welcoming atmosphere.
Certain aspects could be improved, such as ensuring the carpets are cleaner for a fresher feel. Additionally, having extra staff available to promptly dry bathroom floors would enhance comfort and convenience for guests.
