I like the "Sheldrake Lodge vibe" - a throwback to simpler times. The decor was clean. The bar and restaurant were nice. The pool was great, especially nice to have a locker-room with a sauna nearby. Our room was comfortable. The views were pretty amazing - tucked away in the foothills with mountain vistas.

The old school construction where (a) you could hear the ceiling creak from guests on floor above; (b) the walls were 'thin' in that we could hear people being loud in the hallway late at night.

I honestly can't cannot say a bad thing about this beautiful hotel. Staff were friendly, room was very clean, food very good. It is the cleanliness of any hotel I stay in that is the most important. This hotel met that expectation..

There wasn't a lot to complain about. The bar could have been expanded a little more to accommodate more people. We went off season and couldn't get a seat at the bar or lounge on our first night. I think if you went in a busier season it would really be difficult. We just drove to another place we knew. The fire-pit area was tight.

We ordered from the tavern on our first night. We had a few drinks while we waited for our food. The bar service was excellent an four drinks were very good. The food was great! I had a fish sandwich and the piece of fish was huge. The fires were very good and the nachos were very good too. Our room was great! It was very clean and spacious. Nice kitchenette area. Could have used a microwave though.

The first morning we had breakfast the service was very good but the quality of the food was only ok at best. There was no fruit or tomato juice left. My eggs were cold and the sausage was hard and cold. Most everyone else had a good breakfast. the second day the service was horrible but the quality of the food was a bit better.

The loud barking dog that was on our floor. I feel they should hv one area for pets. Also above us on the 3rd floor were children that kept bouncing a ball on the floor and jumping off furniture or beds.Maybe hv a kid area on lower levels The noise we heard below was a lil too much. I am a parent but we went there to get away from our kids and hv peaceful stay.

Everything was wonderful! Beautiful location, gardens, building, lobby and dining area.

The common areas such as dining room, bar area, lounge seemed to close up very early. The pool/hot tub were available until 10:00. It would be nice for amenities like these to be available for a longer period of time.

The purpose of our trip was to get away for a much needed relaxing vacation. The hotel was beautiful and romantic, the room was comfortable and the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The toilet paper. Lol. Believe it or not the toilet paper was not top notch. Other than that the facility was perfect.

The breakfast every morning was exceptional. We also had dinner there and it was even better than the breakfast. The room had a picturesque view. The room was very clean and comfy.

The bed was a little on the form side for me. I would have liked to have had access to a microwave.

- Breakfast included on the first day was great, Restaraunt was busy but, our Server Karen was exceptional. - The Staff at the bar were great especially when we popped up to grab drinks to bring back to the pool area. - The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. The maitenance was always popping around and one gentleman inparticular was everywhere and on top of everything. Like adding more logs to fie pit, keeping towels stocked, moving through the building addressing who knows what but, you could tell he was on a mission and getting stuff done! - The little guest areas on each floor with coffee, tea, water, ie etc,. was great and i thought such a novel idea more hotels should do this rather than have the little individual machines in each room.

- Pool could have been vaccuumed or skimmed although there were passing storms and this may have been the cause of the "extra" dirt - The Air conditiong went out in the Lobby Restaraunt area so we had to cancel our Brunch reservations for SUnday morning and although this was a bummer we do not see it as a big deal especially since we received a courtsey call 2 hours prior to our reservation informing us of the issue.

Included Breakfast was great. Possibly a tiny bit short-staffed but everywhere is like that now. The Tavern for dinner was a highlight of our trip. The incredible Location and Views!

Being underneath loud people who got up at 3:45am one morning. Two towels only for the room when we had our young child with us. I got two extras but after the maids cleaned, it was back down to two. A king room should have a default stock of 4 towels. (2 per adult)....this was the case at the other hotels we stayed at on our trip. But that's not a huge deal, great trip!

I cannot say either about the place food great service outstanding. The bartenders outstanding checking in no issues at all. Great view of the mountains and the grounds beautiful. We stayed there before about two months ago and will be going up again. All I can say Thank you, my wife is also very happy staying there.
