The front desk employee was so sweet and very accommodating. The location really was great; right downtown in the East Village with so many restaurants and shops within walking distance so I did not need to waste time to drive anywhere. I used the hot tub and it was clean and unoccupied, but it was midweek. I ran into a slight issue with my door becoming inoperable for about an hour but it was nothing caused by the staff. They were able to get me into the room, but I did spend some time in the hallway in my swimsuit. If anyone runs into this, if your key isn't making anything blink on the door mechanism, let them know that is the problem so you don't waste your or their time trying new keys. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room was great a kitchenette with a sofa and a king size bed was soo comfortable. The pool was good and the hot tub was working everything was clean. Love the Dove soap, shampoo etc..

$20 a day for parking was a bit ridiculous 🙄 I didn't like that while you were swimming that everyone walking by, and this is a downtown hotel, can see you swimming. Glass windows from ceiling to floor, maybe frost the windows I was quite uncomfortable.

The front desk worker, Jesse, was extremely kind and helpful. He did an amazing job of making my boyfriend and I feel welcome to Des Moines. He provided great service and recommendations for local places to explore. Thanks, Jesse!!

Cleanliness of room wasn’t great, but it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen. Also, the fact that the dark curtain didn’t go all the way closed made it so that we felt there wasn’t much privacy in our room.

Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel, lots of fresh food and variety! Room was the quietest room I’ve ever slept in, couldn’t hear doors close or people walking around. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was well thought out and had everything you’d need.

Inconvenience of carded elevators, stairs don’t go to main level (only to outside), elevator only in parking ramp (no stairs, so waiting for the elevator for lots of people when you are only dashing to your car isn’t great) but, was still nice to have covered parking.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we received a marvellous greeting and service from receptionist Michelle Moreno. Nothing was to difficult, Michelle went out of her way in every aspect. Room was spacious, fantastic comfortable bed with amazing pillows. Very nice Dove products used within the bathroom area. Really comfortable room. Really enjoyed the leisure centre, Pool and Spa clean and relaxing with great opening times.

The only let down was the noise every so often coming from the fridge in the room

Well I like the rooms I like the hallways staff is very respectful and everything like that The breakfast is good it's just a very good place to go

I got a one bedroom suite to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday with him and the hotel room was way above our expectations. The young man who checked us in our room was so nice and helpful and answered all our questions

The parking garage was a little small so trying to leave when it’s packed was kinda hard but otherwise everything was great

Breakfast was good with a lot of options. We were very pleased. We liked the hotel. My son was in the ironman race and was able to get the food he needed.

Unfortunately there was a festival outside of the hotel which made it quite noisy with the band. But that wasn’t the hotels fault. Everyone was very nice.

The location was great! Within walking distance to the Capitol, shops, restaurants and breweries. Great location to access things around Des Moines. It was nice having the full size refrigerator and kitchen amenities in the room.

Parking was a little confusing at first as it is a shared lot with the apartments next door, but if you were able to get lower level parking next to the hotel entrance it was not too bad.

Breakfast and location were great. Staff was great.

The power and the volume on the TV in our room could not be controlled by the remote. There was even a sign on the TV that said you had to use the buttons on the back of the TV for power and sound. Then the buttons did not even have one for power. One was for standby, which turned out to be the power button. This may date me, but I felt like I was back in high school in my parents house having to constantly walk back-and-forth to the TV to adjust the sound and mute. Ridiculous in today’s world.
