We loved everything about our stay, the room was a spacious double room, clean comfortable bed, the whole room was clean, ensuite shower & toilet nice and clean. We slept like a baby, the pillows were very comfortable, I'm usually fussy about my pillows, but I was quite impressed. We didn't have any food as we only wanted accommodation to attend a wedding nearby.
The only fault I found was that they started to play loud music at around 10 am as we were getting up. The lucky part was that we were checking out at 11am, but if we were staying longer, that could have been a nuisance as we could not quite hear each other in the room due to the loud music. It was a warm morning, and we had the windows open for fresh air.

Location was convenient for a 1-night stop during our 10-day walk from Birmingham to London along the Grand Union Canal. Our en-suite room was clean and equipped with all the necessities, although it felt a little soulless with the hyper-neutral colour scheme and a considerable amount of unused space (a larger wardrobe space and perhaps some armchairs would make the room more comfortable and cosy). We added breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it as it was freshly made and tasty. Having spent most of the day walking, we appreciated a restaurant being onsite. Again, compliments to the chef for the quality of food.
The room was above the kitchen, overlooking some storage sheds - we could hear some noise and a constant humming of what we thought to be a kitchen extractor fan.

Friendly and professional staff, nice decor, very clean, excellent food
No shower gel (the housekeeping had left the funnel in the refillable bottle but not refilled). We stayed on Saturday people in the room next door (not sons room) were so noisy and set their alarm set for 5 am, very loud extractor fan from their bathroom, clattering around etc. we had a long journey ahead. Obviously not the Punchbowl’s fault which was an otherwise excellent stay.

I liked the history of the building, the hotel restaurant was very nice and were able to accommodate me at late notice albeit on a Tuesday evening Towels were fluffy and the soap, shampoo etc smelt nice
Mould all round the shower, Not very quiet for a light sleeper, I could hear people outside in the carpark for quite a while after I went to bed and also people in the next room.

Room was extremely spacious and well appointed. Everything felt brand new and it was spotless. Excellent breakfast. Pub itself is beautiful (one of my favorites in the area). Food was great value and just lovely (we ate there both nights). Staff were friendly but efficient. Some beautiful walks nearby (Packwood House) Overall faultless.
The only thing I would have liked is a small fridge in the room for baby bottles and a coffee machine.

Dinner was served quickly and efficiently. We had starters, mains & pudding. All of a high standard in quality and menu choices. One pudding of ice cream was rather melted but good.
When we usually stay/dine out at this time of the year for a birthday celebration, pubs/restaurants/hotels can be quiet before the run up to Christmas has got under way. But possibly as this year we celebrated on a Sunday the pub/restaurant was very busy, very lively and very different from our usual experience. It was great.

Bright and airy. Huge dining and drinking area. Good selection on drinks. Good size bedroom with ample space in shower room.
No air conditioning in the bedroom so had to leave the windows open with fan on to try and stay cool. Noisy road outside meant not a great sleep unfortunately. Staff were hit or miss. Had to go to the bar a couple of times to get service rather than them being available at the table. Not well supervised or trained I think. Could get eggs any style for breakfast but an omelette was out of the question - weird!

The food was excellent and the service was amazing.
I had to ask the waiter if we could order as we had been sitting there a while and a lot of other customers sat down after us and had been served before us. There was only around 10 guests at this time. Breakfast was excellent but I think overpriced as there was no reduction for my full English and I only had sausage, egg , beans and bacon. I think tea and orange juice also should be included with the breakfast. Apart from that I love the Punchbowl. Our second visit. We would definitely eat there again but would probably skip breakfast next time.

Set the a stunning location with good parking facilities. A beautifully renovated dining, lounge and bar area. Delicious freshly cooked food with great waiter service.
Access to the overnight accommodation was via a very steep narrow and dark staircase, not conducive to travellers with mobility problems. The room offered was very basic and in need of updating. The bedding appeared old and worn and the standard of cleanliness was poor. Window Cills dirty, windows unclean, hole in the wall above the headboard, very poor lighting in Bathroom. We requested to be moved to a different room and our hosts accommodated our request. This room was far superior, although the decor was still in need of updating with mis matched furnishings and clashing decorative colours.
