The friendliness of the staff and of the town of Balybofey was an unbelievable experience, free car parking and room warm, clean and comfortable. Similar Hotel in Dublin or many other Hotels in Ireland would cost double, guest would have to pay for car parking, and you would feel the experience of being a stranger. Just across from the Hotel is two large stores, Coys and Mcelheneys where you can shop and be assisted by the most helpful and most friendly people in Ireland.

There was nothing to dislike about the Hotel or the town, an example to other towns and cities on how to look after travellers or tourists you will not experience being a starnger,

We had a lovely stay here. The forge bar in particular was a highlight. Excellent food, a huge selection of lovely cocktails, and live music each night. Lovely staff too. A definite highlight. Our rooms were clean and spacious and had a nice bath as well. Very comfy bed too, and our room was serviced on our second day there. The onsite spa was another highlight. We both got a separate treatment, and as part of that you got an hour in the really good Thermal Suite. The treaments were well worth the price. The location is good, located in the small town, so there's options if you want to get a light lunch/breakfast/coffee around about.

Breakfast was only fine for what it cost, although it was a buffet and could have been warmer.

Rooms were lovely with comfortable beds and were warm on a very cold night, clean and modern. Decent size bathroom and very clean. Bar was lovely with a real fire in winter and cocktail menu extensive. Very enjoyable evening Staff on reception and in bar were excellent and extremely helpful. All in all a great night and stay. Would definitely recommend

Bar Food was mixed, acceptable but not especially memorable. Sirloin steak was a little disappointing and the arancini not as expected (perhaps a little dry), but starters and profiterole sundae dessert and baileys coffee were lovely. Cocktails more than made up for it as we tried a few! All in all the bar experience was delightful.

Shiobhan who checked us in was very friendly and greeted us with a smile and chats.the spa was amazing so relaxing and all the staff at the spa were lovely. The food at the forge bar was amazing. Our server Emma was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The cocktails were beautiful and well made.we ate and drank here every evening we stayed. The room we stayed in was really well decorated and spotless clean and the bed was huge and very comfortable.

The room was lovely and comfortable but the noise from other guests was awful.the 3 nights we stayed I didn't sleep at all.we wer down the very end of the corridor in the corner and it felt like it was a party corner.which is no problem if that's the type of break your going for. Myself and my husband went for a much needed break to relax but sadly the room we were put in really let the hotel stay down.

Breakfast was excellent, food was good, staff very nice, courteous and pleasant.

More clear guidance and information on the facilities, especially the spa. I'm sure the information was available however it seemed you would have to look for it. My wife was more interested in the pool, so we just went to Jacksons each morning, had sauna, swim, steam room, Jacuzzi and I used the gym. We were only there two nights and therefore did not spend time checking out the spa. We still therefore don't know the layout, booking procedure, pricing structure for residents/non residents for the spa facilities. Looking back therefore I think we may have missed out on an enjoyable part of our stay.

The food and staff were exceptionally. Good selection of cocktails.

Room decor abit dated. No air-conditioning/ fridge etc. Charging 15 euro for breakfast even tho my son got a bowl of cornflakes and my husband a coffe with toast. When we questioned the bill for breakfast, the hotel said that there was no way of charging us a cheaper rate as the 15 euro was the rate for breakfast no matter what you ate. Also, the choice for breakfast was very limited. Cooked breakfast, cereal breakfast juice, and croissants. Even though our stay was comfortable, we will not stay again due to the price and choice for breakfast.

Breakfast was good. There was a good selection of items for the full breakfast. When checking out, the two young women at reception were extremely friendly and efficient. It’s a level of friendliness you don’t always get in urban hotels.

I was shown to a table near the entrance although there were better tables further down. There was no cutlery on the table. I had to ask for it. The young man I was dealing with was not very clear in getting his message across.

Great location, lovely friendly staff, food in the bar was fantastic.

Room was nice but bathroom needed a bit of a facelift and I was missing my robe/ spa info. Spa was also €15 entry with free entry to the sister hotels spa around the corner. The sister hotel's spa wasn't the cleanest and had older facilities that needed refurb. Also wasn't ideal carrying a wet swimsuit from one hotel to another on a busy main road. Pillows in room were also quite firm and hard to sleep on.

The hotel was nice and clean. Staff were friendly. We were there for a wedding and they provided very good facilities. We checked out slightly late, but the girl at the desk said it was okay which was a nice bonus. Would recommend, and would stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like was the difficulty in finding the car park. The car park is located through the entrance of another hotel (Jackson's), but you have to drive a couple hundred meters down a small road past Jackson's to find it. Apart from that everything else was great.

The room was very spacious. We went for diner and it was lovey and so was the pints. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The only downfall was the Internet it was very poor. Not sure if it was because Donegal were playing Tyrone and the was alot of people about but even the next morning it was still poor. Only saying this because we had the child with us and it's not easy to keep him entertained especially for watching the iPad
