We loved Baan Koh Mak very much. From the moment Kim picked us up from the ferry until the moment we left he was so helpful and kind (with a beautiful smile that was infectious 😊). We originally booked for 4 nights but extended another 3 nights until they closed for the low season. The accomodation is perfect and exactly as described, really nice design and interiors. Our room was cleaned every second day which was more than enough. As mentioned. we were here heading into the low season so the restaurant wasn’t open but this was not an issue at all - in fact we loved the quiet vibe. A number of great Thai restaurants are within walking distance including a vegan restaurant right next door. The beach is a little rocky but no problems swimming there, we often wondered up a bit further to the right of the beach for great swimming. The grounds are lovely and very well kept by the staff every day. Golf cart & scooter hire available directly through Kim.

Nothing, we loved it and only moved due to closing down on the 28th April for low season. People here have complained about the rubbish on the beach, this is not the properties fault, it’s humans being humans. I spent a morning collecting rubbish along the entire beach, if we all pitched in the beach could be cleaner each day. Koh Mak is proudly environmentally friendly - as guests to the island I believe we should all help.

A beautiful place with a great location right beside the beach and sea and also very handy to lots of restaurants and massage places. No need for personal transport unless you want to explore the rest of the island. The sea was clear and clean and there was lots of comfortable seaside furniture for relaxing and delicious food at their restaurant to order. As another review said, they don't supply tea or coffee but they do supply the kettle and cups, so bring your own tea or coffee if you would like it. Also in the single rooms the fridge turned off when the keycard was out, but this was not the case in the family room. Perfect for quiet relaxation and close to other restaurants and massage places, which we were looking for.

Calm and tranquil beautiful beach, with plenty of sunbeds of various types. Lovely sunset spot. Fairly comfortable bed. Relatively small bungalow but what more do you need? Nice & clean bathroom. Close (but not too close) to small back street with several nice easygoing restaurants with great food. (M.A. Bistro 50 m down the road was exceptionally good.)

No breakfast available, but that is fair and 100% ok, it is a small place. Several breakfast options in the back street. No cleaning, told it should be every second day but still had to ask for it the second day, and somewhat reluctantly given.

On the beach close to many restaurants for Koh Mak. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very relaxing taking a sunset drink on the beach. We were always greeted with a smile. The hotel were good at organising bike rental and our onward journey

Our first cabin was directly behind another cabin with no view. Not how it was represented by photos. To be absolutely fair the manager allowed us to move after 2 of our 4 day stay to a cabin with a pleasant garden view. Sometimes drains were smelly and strangely when you took out the key the fridge went off.

Not our first time here and probably not our last either. Beautiful place with true paradise surroundings. Delicious food and fruit smoothies. Nice beach and beach bar. Clean rooms and excellent customer service. We also love Lulu dog who is always greeting us when we arrive to the resort.

There is a tree growing in one of the bungalow's bathroom. This hasn't bothered us before, but now when we were near rainy season, all the bugs, spiders and centipedes had crawled out and there were many in the tree and near it every time it had been raining.

The location is perfect.our cottage was close to the beach. It was a comfortable beach themed cottage, with amenities included. We could walk to the beach and relax on the lounge chairs. The restaurant at the resort was also very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are restaurants, convenient stores just outside the resort.

Nothing to dislike.

Great location with everything you could possibly need just around the corner (lots of authentic thai restaurants, supermarket etc.). Outstandingly friendly staff that was very accommodating and tried to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Bungalows were in great condition and very clean. Would stay there again anytime.

- Location! next to a beautiful and quiet beach, many Restaurants and Bars nearby, on the beach or across the street in walking distance - nice and comfy sunbeds, chairs, chillout area on the beach, nice bar but little pricy! (beer 100 THB, other bars serve beer for 60-80 THB) - rooms are clean and nice - comfy bed - very good prize value for the room / bungalow - free taxi service to ferry/pier

- service could be better, we were not informed about many things when checkin-in, payment was difficult in the first place (we were told no extra fee when payin with VISA, then extra fee and after a while without extra fee was fine) little confusing - we rent a scooter and got a very old one and had to fill it with gas ourselves and pay extra for the gas, which was fine but no information in the first place again

The location was fantastic, the beach is beautiful and the hammock and swings in the sea were a nice touch. The bungalows were nicely decorated and very clean. It attracted a nice group of people who sat on the beach each day, creating a nice vibe. The street behind had fantastic restaurants, our favourite being The Clay Pot.

Once the sunset the resort shut down, would be nice to have some live music on the beach and cocktails

Very nice villas just by the beach. Well kept and very friendly personnel. Free pickup service. Nice street outside with restaurants. The food at the hotel was also very good.

Cleaning is every other day. Sometimes it would benefit of daily cleaning.
