The location and ocean views. Close proximity to a lot of things in Hermanus including the New Harbour, Cliff path and restaurants. Their breakfast was always delicious and fresh. Also enjoyed being able to sit in the upstairs living area to either read a book or relax. Overall, a well kept establishment - would certainly come back again.

The open plan of the bedrooms has its pros and cons. One of the cons being the humidity that builds up inside the entire bedroom once one has taken a shower. There isn't enough ventilation besides the sliding doors leading to the balcony.

Delicious breakfast. Very friendly, professional, and helpful staff. Modern, clean, and tidy rooms in a secure environment. Gorgeous views. Great location. Attention to detail such as air freshener, tissues, chocolates on arrival, slippers and gowns in the closet, nespresso machine, fantastic lighting. Will definitely stay here again.

General information section on booking.com states soundproofing, however, the rooms aren't soundproof but the soundproofing applies to the double glazed glass to reduce outside noise. Thankfully the noise levels were minimal during our stay.

Everything was perfect. We had a room with sea view, and it was the most beautiful room. We did not mind that the street was between the room and the ocean, as other reviews would suggest. There is a beautiful walking path in front (also to the 'centre', which is close), and a really fun beach bar/pool in front of the stay to end the night, or even hang out the whole day I would think. We felt safe to walk back in the evening after dinner, but of course we got told to be mindful about how flashy we would walk with phone/jewellery. The breakfast is amazing, and the staff is extremely friendly. There is a private parking for cars as well here.

This was a lovely little gem of a place and we are so pleased we found it! In a lovely part of town too, we felt very welcome, the staff were all wonderful. Breakfast was great and the rooms were spotless. We saw whales within the first 10 mins of arriving! Lovely view from our room and saw whales from our window. Such a gorgeous town with so many lovely shops and restaurants and a market. Lovely people and just adored the vibe and energy of the place. The people of Hermanus are proud, and so they should be! It’s one of our favourite places in South Africa. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options are nice. Rooms with beach view are nice (though the higher floor is much nicer than the first floor because of the busy road right in front of the hotel).

It’s a 10-15min walk to Hermanus centre and considering safety etc it’s a bit of a hassle to have to take an Uber at night to get back to the hotel. The beach view rooms are nice but the rooms on the first floor are quite close to a busy road (Marine).

7 on Marine is a fantastic boutique hotel perfectly located just steps from the center of Hermanus and directly across from the Tidal Pool. The location offers both convenience and stunning ocean views, making it ideal for exploring the area. The staff are exceptionally attentive, ensuring every need is met with warmth and professionalism. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, with luxurious touches that make for a truly relaxing stay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hermanus!

A very nice room with a magnificent view on the ocean.

Access to the protected compound was not easy, we spent 15' just getting into the hotel lobby. Nobody answered the backdoor which was supposed to be the entrance from the car park. No facilities to put our luggage on, suitcases and bags on the floor. The elevator was intended for use by people with restrictions only. The staff were friendly but their answers were not very helpful.

Stunning view of the sea. Great location, beautiful walking trails around the sea front, about 800 metres to the main sea front area, stunning room with balcony. Staff were great, when we went sea kayaking made us omelettes and coffee even though breakfast had officially ended twenty minutes before. Can’t fault the place would happily return.

There is plenty of secure car parking but some of the spaces are very tight.

Just had a really nice 2 night stay at 7 on Marine, Hermanus. The property is beautifully furnished and the views are out of this world. The wether was quite rough during our stay which resulted in our whale watching cruise being cancelled but we still managed to see quite a few including on our last day from our bedroom balcony. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast delicious. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting these parts.

Excellent breakfast upstairs. The location is right on the ocean and you can walk to a fun restaurant called Fick's across the street. Jacuzzi, Sauna in the courtyard was nice The Staff was friendly, helpful and kind.

The only comment for me is that the Shower has transparent glass, meaning when you take a shower, you can see the person inside. My brother and I shared a room and it was somewhat awkward. I would recommend changing that.
