Being a minimalist, I found the room, though a bit small, perfect for our stay. Michael was very friendly and he upgraded our room free of charge. As I mentioned, room was small but had a hot tub, mini fridge, microwave, cofee maker, iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer. Room also had A/C. We stayed two nights. Only two blocks from the island's main avenue. Everything is within walking distance.

Not that I didn't like but some rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator, so rooms on second floor will be very difficult for physically impaired people to access.

My second time to the Seacrest Inn. Room was clean, had jacuzzi bath, electric fireplace and was reasonably quiet. And the price is very reasonable. Seacrest Inn is only a block or 2 from front street, meaning many restaurants, shops, and the harbor are close by. The view from the top of the Inn is amazing, particularly at night. Rooms aren't large, but if you are in Avalon, you're not there to stay inside, except if you are sleeping.

The new tv connection locked up a few times. It was easily resolved by turning off tv and router, then restarting.

We stayed in the Sandcastle House and LOVED IT! It was hands-down one of the cutest and best executed "vintage" spaces I've stayed in. I felt like I was staying in a sailer's cottage with plenty of space and all the extras we needed like a kitchen, living room, A/C, and 2 separate bedrooms. The location and value were exceptional. I would come back in a heartbeat and bring even more friends to stay since this place has so much room! The rooftop is next door on top of the Seacrest Inn, and we brought up drinks and snacks to enjoy each night we stayed. It has 360 views of Catalina was such a memorable part of our stay.

This is a quaint hotel being that it feels historic. Our room had a separate entrance on the street and was great. While having a "cottage" feel, it was clean, had a microwave and refrigerator, a jacuzzi tub (we which didn't use given the water shortage), and other fine accoutrements. The roof top deck with the 360 degree view is great. The staff was very amiable and having the ability to store and access your luggage before and after checking in/out was great especially with the location a block away from the promenade and beach.

The air conditioner was good but a little loud for sleeping (but it was cool enough at night so not needed). The wi-fi was functional but on the slow side. They did not have a public restroom available in the hotel but there are good public restrooms a block away.

The room was clean and comfortable. It had some nice amenities, like wifi and cable tv. We also had a microwave and refrigerator. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view from the roof top was awesome. There was a barbeque there that we would have used, but the weather was too cool and breezy. Our hotel was in a great location.

The coffee maker was only a one cup at a time and the cups were paper. There was no cutlery, condiments or dishes so we had to scavenge plastic utensils, condiments, bowls and coffee cups from various places in Avalon. The stairs were steep.

we liked the staff and the location. everything in Avalon is walkable,if you are able to walk but welikethat this was onaside street so it felt quieter not being on the main drag....yet the main street is just two short blocks away

we had expected, based on reviews, for the room to feel a little more well kept. for example we found the main window and it's dressings unclean and difficult to open amongst other things. also the bathroom and shower stall were extremely small and somewhat dingy.

Amber, who processed our registration, was friendly and gracious. She took us to our rooms and explained everything. She also recommended good places to visit. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. There is a microwave, a mini fridge, and coffee maker in the room, perfect for a longer stay. I also liked the tables outside our room and the terrace on the top floor .

The bathroom in the mermaid room was minuscule.

Mermaid room was small but a perfect little place for a quick, last minute trip to the island. Short people friendly room that had everything we needed from a room: TV, microwave, mini fridge, bed, shower, chairs, deck and rooftop. One block from the beach and in a central location to everything! Staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Nothing the inn probably couldn't help, but I had no cell service in the room and WiFi was as no help.

It was perfect! The room was large, bright, airy and very comfortable. The hotel was clean and I loved the decorations and painted hallways. We made use of the rooftop deck, and the views were outstanding. We were close to everything in town, yet it felt very private and was very quiet. We stored our luggage there before check- in on the first day and left it there late on our last day. Very accommodating and friendly staff.

About as good a location as possible. Only about a 5-minute walk from the dock, and a block away from Crescent Street, so an easy walk to almost everything but less noisy than if it were in the middle of it all. Had a fridge and freezer, and the rooms were nicely l decorated with sea themes. The tub had a whirlpool setting (which we didn’t use). Most of all, the owners/ staff were very helpful and friendly.

It was hard to get the key to work in the door to our room, and one time we had to call the owner to help us. The bathtub, sink, and toilet were in 3 adjoining rooms, which was okay, but none of them had doors; we would prefer to have the privacy that doors provide. Also, the tile floor in these rooms was very gritty, with loose dirt between the tiles. The flooring probably needs to be replaced.
