The room was wonderful. We loved the use of wood and art and architecture of this hotel inside the lobby, marvelous roof, and the room furniture. Gave a a mixed feeling of past and modern in terms of design senses. Beautiful lobby. Breakfast was overloaded with options. The reception were amazing and made it very easy and smooth for us. The hotel is just in front of beach. It was lovely we could open back gate with our key and visited the beach as well for some peaceful swim. The location of the hotel is also great. Just front of it is the opera, and like 2 min walk away is a little neighborhood front of sea with many cafes and restaurants to chill and get a wonderful glance of Muscat peaceful vibe. Hotel workers are wonderful and nice. Hotel got padel, tennis, gym, water activities, and a sport club. So you got some options to explore. and couple of restaurants inside the hotel.

We pretty much got very satisficed at this property. The pool is more of a family vibe. Like some children also around. if some people want absolute silence at the pool, that's not the case there, but you can mix it with the beach peacefulness in the morning or noon before it get's crowded in the evening. The pool design is not for a professional swim. It's simply for chilling in water and walking in it. So depends on your pool mood preferences; but as I explained, it can be combined with the beach experience just in front of the hotel and the hotel also has a some water sport activities to offer.

This hotel truly exceeded our expectations. During out stay it was clear that customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything they do. The food was exceptionally good, with cooks preparing meals live right in front of you. It was a delight to watch them work their magic, and the flavors were simply outstanding. The chef cook made a point to come around to each table, introducing themselves and asking how we liked the food. This personal touch made the dining experience even more special. What really stood out was the CEO of the hotel, who was always present for the guests. They would come and talk to us, asking for feedback and how they could improve. It was evident that they genuinely cared about our experience and were committed to maintaining high standards. Every member of the staff, from the kitchen to the reception, cleaners, pool attendants, and sauna staff, was exceptional. They all clearly knew what they were doing and performed their duties with a level of professionalism and friendliness that is rare to find. I would give them all 10 out of 10 stars. Overall, this hotel sets a high bar for customer service and quality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

Parkings were far from the intrance (nearby parkings were occupied by restaurants and sport clubs clients) the remaining ones were designed in open area As far as I paid attention and I hope it was not a general case, the room service staff didn't use gloves to clean the trash beans and the same person was responsible for changing and replacing the towels, I have no idea about making the beds.

For us was not an issue as we stayed only 2 nights to explore Muscat, but who wants to enjoy the sea - the beach is public, outside the hotel area and not very attractive. I would consider this hotel as a “city hotel” rather than a “resort”

Location was great.near to many restaurants and chilling areas (Opera House). Breakfast was good with good varieties.Tried Tomato restaurant and the Chicha lounge,enjoyed the perfect service and hospitallity.Hotel reception granted us early check in due to our long flight which was much appreciated. The Hotel inside decorations was stylish and amazing.

Hotel external facilities needs a rebrushing from pools to hotel paints. The most disappointed thing was the beach.there was no private beach,It is a public beach and walk in area with lot of domestics (Had a an alteraction with one guy who was filming ladies in Bikinis.reported the same to the hotel since there was no security staff outside). We choose to avoid the beach and swim just in the pool areas inside the hotels).

At the buffet, a sign saying what was gluten free would be good for people with coeliac disease or knowing there was an option for an alternative More gluten free options would be great in all restaurants Although not the property’s fault, the hotel next door (W) was very loud until 3am with a DJ playing for two out of three of our nights so it affected the night time and our sleep

We stayed here twice, from Feb 11-15 and Feb 22-24, 2025. We had a double room that was clean and fully equipped. It is generally clean and comfortable. The food at the hotel is excellent, both breakfast, buffet and also the Takara restaurant. The swimming pool is large and has plenty of space. Staff is very attentive. Wifi is good, I was able to connect and do some work, although I did not try high-throughput uses like video calls or remote access.

We caught Feb 14th which had wonderful decorations and a special dinner, but also loud music until midnight which was difficult for anyone (especially the kids) to go to sleep.

This is the original Grand Dame of Muscat hotels, and they have done a fantastic job to maintain it, so that it looks pretty much new. Lovely eight floor high atrium in the middle of the hotel. Check in pretty fast and friendly. Room was spacious with sofa, desk, chairs and lovely sea view as we’d paid for a room with a balcony. We ordered room service one night and it came fast and was delicious. We asked for assistance with our luggage when leaving and again, this was responsive and organized. Bathrooms are beautiful and modern. All that you would expect for a five-star resort that is managing to compete well with its new five-star neighbors. Fantastic location to walk down to restaurants and shops on the beach. A very short walk to the Royal Opera House. Lastly, but definitely not least- It has an amazing breakfast buffet. One day we did breakfast at the main restaurant and were blown away by the huge selection of different cuisines at different stations, even different types of coffee’s, teas, breads and pastries, as well as all the different cooked options.

Surprisingly bland and overpriced salads at the Italian restaurant Tomato. We had a quick breakfast one morning at Treat, and found the menu limited and cafe had noisy staff. Roof of atrium could do with a touch up. We had a room with a connecting door to another bedroom, which meant we could clearly hear the next door guests children. Compared to other hotels we stayed in Oman, the air-conditioning didn’t make the room very cold as the minimum temperature was 19C yet you had a big duvet. Small things in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Nicely designed interior. Great breakfast selection, tasty food too. Helpful staff. Well-sized room. Well maintained by room service staff.

Exterior looks very dated and not like a 5* hotel. Concierge service for booking excursions were expensive and confusing to use, lacked communication. For example, we told them we’d like to visit islands on on day and they forgot to include us, so we had to go on another day. The prices given by different members of staff varied - one staff member said 160 OMR per person for a trip to the islands! The general price given by the concierge is also more expensive than if I had found an independent tour guide but I do not feel there was anything special about the concierge service at all.

The room was clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet in general. Pool area very lively and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Renovations going on but it was never a problem.
