Wonderful staff. From our initial greeting on arrival, all staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Beautiful location. Comfy bed. Good facilities. Evening meal was delicious. Appreciated room touches like the green light in the bathroom and the bottle of drinking water.
Room was a bit dark. Choosing food for breakfast the night before was unconventional & while it was a good breakfast, quality of ingredients overall didn't equal the standard of their evening meal. (Change the hash browns. Dad liked the crispy bacon, tho!). Also, would've been good to have options re toast to follow or fruit juice etc. These are quibbles, however & only provided as constructive feedback. Bit noisy early morning with deliveries.

Nice and friendly and clean and comfy room, although would have preffered not at the front over the tables outside and we needed a better Blackout blind as the lights stay on . The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well once the pub closed. We had breakfast and it was excellent would reccomend the food ,have eaten there a few times ,never dissapointef.Great service too. We will stay again as its a lovely pub/ hotel but maybe ask for a room further back.I guess when you book a dealits pot luck but will pay full next time.
The room was at the front of the hotel/pub so the black out wasnt sufficient and some guests were noisy

The staff were lovely and welcoming , the rooms were lovely and the restaurant did some really lovely food! Wonderful little place.
The only down fall for us was that you are not allowed to take drinks up to the room and there is no shop near without driving into town. My husband and I would have like to have been able to have had a glass of coke while we watched the tv in the room rather than sit down in the bar after a 3hr drive but ended up having to travel into town to get drinks to bring back to the room before we could relax for the evening. I am sure there will be a reason for this policy but it is an inconvenient one.

Excellent breakfast and the dinner was also a real bonus. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Despite being a pub, and my room being over the bar, it was quiet. The bed was very comfortable. I couldn't fault the shower.
The room was a little cold, and the temperature had dropped. With single glazed sash windows this was understandable but I couldn't see an option for any supplementary heating. The paintwork on doors and the bathroom floor was a little grubby (I assume clean) and I couldn't get the TV to work, but I used wifi and my laptop. I also didn't like such a large gap under the door so I had to put pillows to cover the gap (to eliminate sound and light).

We have stayed before at the white horse & have had no problems but this time we had no hot water in the morning for showers & they said coz it’s an old building & that everyone must have had a shower the same time, well that’s not good enough ,we waited 2 hours for water to get hot again & still no hot water at all, time to update your system then isn’t it, & we have a big concern as we are in the same room for 4 nights in July for a wedding let’s hope we don’t have the same problem again !!

Wonderful beds and pillows. Big comfortable room. Excellent shower room and shower. Good TV & facilities Interesting menu. My wife,'s salmon was tasty and well presented. Quiet room even though road facing. Could easily have continued sleeping. Excellent parking.
Fish and chips were wonderful to look at but bland in taste. . Lighting difficult in bathroom to shave. Did not like pre ordering breakfast as I forgot so went without. Staff did not remind me even though I had told them I wanted to order. Would have liked more information about locality.

Great location, and I appreciated the extras with the facilities (mixture of good quality tea, coffee, glass bottled water and biscuits) and very clean, looks like the room was renovated fairly recently, beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Food from the restaurant was lovely too!
Very minor things...The hot water didn't last too long in the shower, but I put it down to using it at peak time with everyone else doing the same! I also didn't get a text for the code for the key box, so just had to go in to speak to staff. Not a huge issue for me on the day but if the pub was closed then it might have been an issue.

Breakfast timing worked for our stay but I can see if you were there for business that the 9-11 am timing and pre order the night before wouldn’t necessarily work.
Conditioner in the shower, and access to a mini fridge of some sort in the room would be nice. A bit noisy deliveries in the morning but think that was location of the room.

I knew the location very well as many years ago we had celebrated our mum's 60th Birthday there. I hadn't stayed there at that time but this time sadly we were back to attend our mum's funeral. I had booked to stay here as back in 1948 our mum & dad had held their Wedding reception there. Obviously the hotel has changed since those days but it was really lovely to stay just down the road from where my parents had got married. Beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, delicious breakfast, polite attentive staff. At very short notice they were able to put on tea/coffee and biscuits for after the funeral. Fantastic!!
I was happy with everything.

Generally nice but there few light options for those who don’t wish to have a large breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had some nice touches. The hotel is close to some lovely walks in Pangshanger nature reserve. A hidden gem.
Mostly good but the bar closed at 10pm on Saturday evening whilst we were still having a drink.
