Excellent, spacious, comfortable and warm 'elegance' room with a lovely view of the lake and its wildlife. Great breakfast buffet and very enjoyable evening meals. The breakfast and restaurant staff were always friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking space. We appreciated the free bicycle hire.

This was our first stay, chosen as it was a convenient stopover on our way back to the UK from the Alps. The hotel is in a lovely location, nice and quiet, on a lake near the golf course. It's a few miles/km from the motorway, which wasn't great in the pouring rain, but was worth it when we arrived. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The food was excellent. Our room was large, well appointed, comfortable and well decorated/maintained. The following day we had a good breakfast before covered the final 2+ hours to Calais. The hotel more than met our needs, so we'll definitely consider staying here again.

Stunning location and our room was amazing! It was particularly spacious and overlooked the lake. Decor was very refined and the bathroom exceptionally clean. There was a kettle and fridge in the room. The meal in the restaurant was very good - although the Omelette Norvegienne was not! The meringue was ‘set’ and cold - not nice!

There wasn’t a very nice smell in the corridors (we think from chemical cleaners/sprays to combat golfing smells?) but fortunately this didn’t travel into the room. There were only two tiny pots of ‘cream’ which are not nice in tea and there was no English breakfast tea. I asked for some ‘real’ milk at reception and was given some.

Great location by a lovely lake which is next to the sailing club and Centre Parcs in a town called Chamouille. There’s nothing in the town except a boulangerie. Great pool but it wasn’t heated which is disappointing. The outside space was nice with a large garden area, boules, table tennis and small children’s playground. The lake had swans and ducks. Gorgeous view. Running and cycling paths are abundant. Lots to do. Golf course half a mile away. Rooms are large enough for a family of 4. Great shower. Bike hire is free.

Super expensive everything! Beer for £6. Soft drinks just as expensive. £6.50 for a small ice cream. Glass of wine about £10. We did not bother to eat in the restaurant or drink a drop at the bar it was simply unpalatable to spend that much.

Quiet but easy to find location with good car parking. Nice hotel rooms well appointed. Lovely restaurant with good food and attentive friendly staff especially Leah (?) . Heated swimming pool.

TV in room purported to have multiple channels including CNN and BBC World Service, neither of which worked - wife disappointed. Not the fault of the property as such, but Chamouille lacks ambiance, in fact is totally dead. The boulangerie / patisserie and the only other bar in the village have both closed. An increasingly common situation in rural France post-Covid.

The hotel has a lovely outlook onto the lake with a heated pool and a pleasant terrace. The room was a decent size, the bathroom and toilet were separate, and the beds were comfortable. The room had a little balcony. The area is peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was very good. The shower was over the bath and was perfectly fine. We ate dinner there for convenience and the meal was generally very good (if on the pricier side). As a one-night stop-off on a long drive it worked well.

There was a slight smell from the drains in the bathroom. The rooms are a bit tired decoratively. The lobby and common areas could do with an update and there are some odd and unattractive decorative choices and artwork.

Lovely lakeside setting, ample parking, away from the main roads. Peaceful and comfortable room. Very warm welcome. Breakfast provision was great, and I also enjoyed a lovely vegetarian meal in the evening (adapted veloute to start and roasted cauliflower and creamy vegetable ratatouille main). The children enjoyed space to stretch their legs outside beside the lake, and played table tennis and table football. They also enjoyed meals prepared for them in the restaurant. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

We loved the location of this hotel. We were travelling between Calais and the Alps; and waking up to a beautiful lake view here was such a pleasure. The room was great for a family of 4. Parking was very easy in their car park. Breakfast was good. Great places to sit outside and the children liked the playground and table football. Particular thanks to the lovely reception staff.

Nothing really, although the views, inside and back of the hotel are definitely more attractive than the front of the building.

The rooms are fine. The bathroom could to with a walk-in shower instead of an old fashioned bath tub and a half screen. The view is amazing and in the morning it's absolutely quiet. All rooms have aircon which is an absolute plus.

In the restaurant they should really learn how to make french fries. Ask any Belgian chef (or Belgian mom with kids) how it is supposed to be done. At breakfast, the bacon should me a little more fried.

Nice , peaceful and quiet location. Free and ample parking right in front. Very quiet at night, ie no traffic., did not hear any neighbours. Good breakfast (outside on terrace in sun) and dinner. Good beds and shower. Small balcony, great view on lake. Reception and personnel fine. Altogether very relaxing.

Nothing, shouting/crying children can be part of life especially during holiday season.
