I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated, with a cozy, rustic charm that perfectly blends modern comforts. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to offer recommendations for local activities or dining spots. They made sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout my entire stay. The location is perfect—quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful retreat, yet close enough to local attractions and the town center. The breakfast was a highlight of each morning, with a delicious selection of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway or a base to explore the area, this guesthouse is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return!

Everything was perfect

On our way on Holiday we want to see more of Kathu. That was a surprise, great town in the Northern Cape. Easy to find the lodge. With arrival we were upgraded to the "Honey Moon Suite", that was a BONUS without no added costs. The room was beautiful, king size bed, bathroom with corner bath, shower and Seperate tiolet with all the extras. Coffee, kettle. Fridge with water bottles. Breakfast was SUPER, include in the stay. Choice of continental breakfast, fruit with yogurt and cereal. Coffee one can get as many coffee as you wanted, even took take away coffee. This Lodge deserves a FULL 10/10. Thank you Gamagara Lodge, you will be our number 1 choice if Kathu is our overnight Town.

The room was clean and in a very convenient location

The service at breakfast was unpleasant The table we sat at was not set up, I had to walk to another table to get glasses and cutlery, again when the food came i again had to ask for condiments. This was not much of an issue until we realized the gentleman (white) who walked in exactly the same moment as us was given more attention by the waiter on the floor and everything was done/provided for accordingly.

I travel for work and often on the last minute. Kathu Gamagara lodge always goes the extra mile securing accomodation and breakfast packs for leaving to early for mine visits. The staff are all just fantastic, friendly and know how to assist on the end of a long day. Allways there, always safe and always friendly - thank you team! (the conferencing potential is a huge additional bonus again making life easier in this far away town)

I loved everything. It is so clean, beautiful my goodness it exceeded my expectations

Don't leave your food on the Zinc..Forgot my pizza, full box on that one and when I woke up in the morning wanted to eat , the whole food was having ants. Had to throw it away. I felt like maybe there could be something done about the ants but apart from that I give it 100/100

Friendly staff, quick check-in, clean and neat room, just what you need for an overnight stay, excellent breakfast!

The swimming pool needs a makeover. It does not look like the picture on the website. The surface is stained and looks dirty. It didn't look very attractive at all, but the water was clean, and we did take a quick dip!

Die koffieshop waar ons ontbyt gehad het sou ek se is glad nie op dieselfde standaard as die res van die perseel nie, daars nie n tafeldoek of lappie op die tafels nie, die personeel loop en koffiedrink terwyl hulle die kliente bedien, die brood word nie eers uit die broodsakkies gehaal nie, dus regtig jammer met n bietjie meer aandag aan die koffieshop kan dit regtig n baie mooi en aangename plek wees

This was a great stay, staff is warm and friendly. The room is spacious with the Bathroom having a toilet and shower. Breakfast was great and overall good value for money, location is also central and very close to the mall and other shops that you would need access to.

Breakfast is standard and not exceptional, could do better and offer value for money. Would be ideal if there was an option of coffee availed

The restaurant is run independently which is does not offer services and food standards to match the place.

The Lodge is situated in a great location and is easy to access. The security is great, and you feel secure the whole time. The restaurant is nice and is linked to a well know coffee shop chain. Food was great.

Bathroom - Shower had mold in it and the light is falling out of the ceiling.
