The Wood Briar cottage was a Magical experience built on the side of a Mountain in the coastal village of Penmaenmawr in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park of North Wales with stunning Sea & Mountain Views. It was spotlessly clean & tidy and felt very homely and very well run & organised with a nice Breakfast Bar, Snacks, Tea & Coffee and good utilities regularly topped up. The rooms were lovely, decorated nicely to a high standard, and the bed was extremely comfortable with a SMART T.V to kick back in the evenings, wireless phone chargers, and good WIFI. I had the best nights sleep in a while. The Bathroom was lovely, choice between an old styled bath or good sized shower cubicle, with a descent shower, good quality towels and robes which was a really nice touch and very refreshing. The owners Ellie & Gavin were very welcoming & friendly & helpful & and went above and beyond to make my stay a very special experience. The location is perfect, itâs a short drive off the A55 just passed Conwy situated right next to the Sychnant Pass, a 20min drive to Llandudno or Bangor, and only half an hour drive to Anglesey. There is also potential to go over to Dublin site seeing for the day as Holyhead is only a 40min drive and there are regular Fast Ferryâs that leave with an approx 3hr crossing time. The Welsh Mountain Zoo is only a 15min drive away, and is a fantastic day out especially if you have children. There is a local pub called the Fairy Glen literally a stone throw away that serves really nice food and drinks, and a gym & Health & Well Being retreat a couple of mins walk up the road. Due to its supreme location itâs Paradise for Hill Walkers & Mountain Bikers as you can literally walk/cycle from the cottage onto Snowdonia National Park without the hassle of driving anywhere.

So many choices for breakfast and the coffee was great. Itâs make your own breakfast which we really liked.
Hosts, Elle & Gavin were fantastic hosts and the facilities were great. We could not have asked for more breakfast choices, the bathroom was spacious and it was so good to have great coffee choices. Very convenient location with a pub 80 metres away for dinner if desired. It was so nice to be able to have a good cuppa after a day of sightseeing. Would definitely stay there again if in Conwy.

I felt very welcomed and it was immaculate. The attention to detail was amazing. The bathroom had a bath and a shower which was spotless. The bed was really comfortable and perfect temperature in the room. The breakfast pantry cupboard had everything you could wish for. The selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate was incredible. They supplied everything you needed and more. The location was so picturesque, best place I have ever stayed.

Fabulous location with free parking (although tight space). Mountain view and nearby pub and walks. Very clean, comfortable bed, and an excellent welcome from host. Lovely decor and extremely good choice for self-service breakfast, even a coffee machine. Bathroom large with luxurious towels. Hairdryer and large selection of toiletries available.
Don't like to criticise anything at this place as it was absolutely lovely. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the room was on the small side and we are not used to having a separate bathroom so that might have been awkward if we had not been the only ones there and had to share.

I was made very welcome and the added bonus of a microwave and complimentary breakfast was a lovely surprise. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and a meal at the local pub, The Fairy Glen. The museum volunteers were very helpful but the biggest surprise was the sewing machine shop/museum was a gem.

We had the whole floor to ourselves. Continental breakfast was stocked with every kind of breakfast imaginable. Any utensils you could imagine was available. Bathroom was very luxurious with shower and tub. Towels were large and absorbent and wash clothes were available including makeup removal cloths.

The immediate location was beautiful. It was well established with well kept properties in a tranquil setting overlooking the estuary and mountains. There is a friendly well run family pub just up the road that catered for families. The welcoming owners always went the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable and nothing was too much effort. We were close to Conwy and visited the historic town and castle.
There is only one thing I would suggest; an area inside (during rainy weather) set aside to sit at a table and eat. There was plenty of space outside to do this in sunny weather. We would definitely visit Woodbriar again.
