The staff are great; friendly, approachable and professional. Especially the lad that covered the night service - he was super cheerful and couldn't do enough to help. The room was comfortable, in good order and very clean. The food and drinks available we're very good. Especially the breakfast deal, which was great value, perfectly cooked and good quality. If you like a cocktail, they have a great offering! Free parking easily accessible nearby, and a lift to the upper floors.
Not the hotels fault... the seagulls are LOUD! We had a warm weather stay so the seagull chatter was an issue with having the window open, unfortunately. It is a harbour town, so to be expected and the hotel provide earplugs in the room - a good shout! There was a black-out blind on the window, however it could do with the addition of a curtain over the window recess to truly black-out the summer morning light - that's a really picky grip though!!

The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were especially good. The view across roofs and waste bins was not exactly special but fine for an overnight stay. The banging noise from downstairs stopped before 8pm (although the walls were very thin and I couldn’t hear conversations and TV from elsewhere!). The evening meal choice was good. A special mention for the staff who were friendly and welcoming.
I believed I had paid for inclusive B&B so wasn’t expecting to pay extra for breakfast. Although items such as cereals, yoghurt or fruit were not available there was a good choice of savoury meals including scrambled eggs on toast, full Scottish and vegan. All very promptly served.

Staff were fantastic. Food was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable
The one thing that was beyond the control of staff, and through no wrongdoing, was the room keycards malfunctioning. The situation was explained to me by the staff and manager, who apologised profusely. Again, no fault of their own, technological error, all that jazz. Couldn't be helped. Oh, and the thinness of the walls. The only other downside was hearing the couple next door copulate several times through the wall. But I got a good laugh out of it, though!

First of all: The most friendliest, fun and caring staff works in this lovely hotel! James greeted us at arrival, and he made sure that I got a better chair in our oom! Breakfast and dinner is just delicious, and the overall service is excellent. We stayed in room 11. It was a lovely, clean and spacious room for the 2 uf us. It is not a room with a wiev, but we didn't mind at all. We enjoyed the coffee, tea and bisquits provided to us every day in our room. The room had housekeeping every day which was very nice. So fun to have followed The Townhouse Hotel on Facebook for so long, and finally see and meet these lovely people who makes this place dynamic and fun. Will definately stay here again!

All of the staff were 10/10, extremely friendly and welcoming, nothing was a problem for them, they kindly charged my phone up behind the bar a few times also as battery was dying- I forgot to pack mine and the shop across the road was closed early on a Saturday, the entertainment was brilliant - a singer called eilidh, there was a lovely atmosphere at the townhouse hotel- I live a 1 hour and 45 minutes drive away from here but I would definitely return to the townhouse hotel due to the lovely experience! Everywhere was very clean also. We had food from the restaurant which was 10/10 absolutely delicious, then had our breakfast the next morning which was lovely, great customer service on all points. We were in the bar for around 5 hours shortly after check in and some sight seeing as there was absolutely no need to leave and go elsewhere for drinks or food as everything was brilliant at the townhouse hotel.
I can't fault anything at all it was fantastic.

Great location. Food was delicious, freshly made and good size portions. Fabulous cocktail menu. Great customer care from all the staff. And it’s family fun, which makes a huge difference with service, quality and standards. Rooms were fresh, comfortable and spacious. Nicely decorated with ample tea, coffee and biscuits.
The shower pipe was attached to the wall so you couldn’t take the shower head off to wash your body. The shower was also over a bath and getting in was slippy - a rubber mat would be good.

A comfortable room with plenty of wardrobe space, very clean, good shower but with a limited view out the window which was fine I was not there for the view. The name of the hotel explains the limited view. Excellent breakfast which unfortunately I was unaware it was not part of the room rate. However any variation on the set breakfast appeared to under the heading "too difficult" i.e. toast instead of the roll. This point should not detract from the overall excellent breakfast and friendly staff. From arrival to departure the staff were welcoming, friendly and easy to speak with. A good friendly team. A credit to the hotel and the company
only minor point as above

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. The location was perfect for the show we're going to see at the theatre.
The floor boards were very squeaky, just what to expect from an old building. Maybe some sound proofing required as we were able to hear the people in the next room talking. They do however supply ear plugs🤣 Our room was catered for people with disabilities but still had a shower over the bath. Maybe this could be updated to a wet room/shower cubicle.

everything! I honestly don't think we have ever stayed in a hotel were all the staff are genuinely happy at there work! regardless of how busy the bar/restaurant area was everyone had a smile on there faces and were cheery and helpful. rooms are spotless and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. perfect location and walkable to the cliffs for an amazing view. absolutely will be coming back! thanks for a wonderful stay!
nothing not to like.

Staff are excellent. The guy who checked us in was pleasant and cheerful. Other staff who served breakfast or in the evening were all very attentative and polite. Happy to reset the wifi for us when there was an issue connecting. The breakfast for 6 pounds is a really good deal. Fills you up without being too stuffed, and obviously great value.
Rooms are a little warm and creaky - but it's an old building. Could do with some upgrade, but that's difficult I think.
