EVERYTHING! The property is central in Buckie, easy parking also 2 minute walk from bus stop if travelling by public transport from Inverness or Aberdeen. One of my windows overlooked the colourful flowers in the main square; another had a sea view. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated retaining the original features, warm, spotlessly clean, comfy bed, big ensuite with walk in shower, kettle with tea, coffee etc, telly - I brought my own load of teabags as I usually do so nice to have my preferred tea. Breakfast - a variety of cereals, fresh fruit salad, prunes and your cooked breakfast is cooked individually as to what you want and pretty speedy. Hosts are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. As a base the location easy reach of north east coastal walks, picturesque seaside villages, the Spey Whisky Trail and the Highlands.
It's perfect - nothing to add

Struan House was such a beautiful place. Very classic and traditional decorations that felt cozy and welcoming, while still feeling beautiful. I actually booked two different stays because of scheduling and got two different rooms, both of which were fantastic. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location is perfect since it’s right in the central square of Buckie with large windows that look out to the town, the ocean, and the flower beds below. Shoutout to Buckie Roots, the volunteer group that plants the flowers who let me join them one afternoon! The hosts are so incredibly kind, Robert and Giffy, and they truly went above and beyond to make my stay amazing, and being able to pet their dog who lives in Struan too was just another bonus. There was tea and little biscuits in the room, and Robert and Giffy made guests breakfast each morning in the dining room. Even when it rained, I was perfectly content curled up in Struan House. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be back, and I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you for everything, Robert and Giffy!

I have stayed here a couple of times before - and there's a reason I go back, Great accomodation, great staff, friendly, comfortable and an all round top quality level of service at a great price just make this such a good place to stay if you are travelling in this area. I was travelling by motorcycle, and as on previous trips I was able leave my bike around the back and felt perfectly comfortable with where I left it. The whole place is nicely fitted out, super clean and fresh and just has a really nice, charming and relaxed feel to it. This was the third time I have stayed at Struan House and I hope to return again, I wouldn't hesitate to book again if in the area and make the most of an excellent stopover.
There was nothing at all that I didn't like about my stay at Struan House - this was the third occasion I have stayed there and on each occasion it has exceeded my expectations.

Struan House is a delightful old property is situated in the main square of the town, and is renovated to a high standard and is super clean. The room was en-suite, with a great shower. The room had a large king bed, was well heated and serviced daily. Tea and coffee was supplied in the room. The host was helpful and informative about the area without being intrusive. The hot breakfast in the morning was excellent. There is ample parking on site as well as nearby bus stops for services to Elgin, Keith and Aberdeen. Extremely good value for money. Recommended
Only a minor point. It would have been helpful if a mains socket was available beside the bed to allow a mobile, etc., to be there and on charge so it could be used as an alarm.

The location was excellent - slap bang in the middle of the town and very near to the location we were attending. The room was lovely - VERY warm and cosy and welcoming - and super quiet. The owners were really friendly and allowed us to use one of the rooms we booked for an extra few hours before checkout which was extremely kind.
Nit picking but I felt the breakfast could have been a bit more exciting. Full cooked Scottish breakfast to me means bacon, sausage, eggs (with a choice of how they're cooked), black pudding, potato scone, mushrooms etc. We were offered bacon, one fried egg and half a cooked tomato. The fresh fruit salad was lovely but I'd have liked come honey, seeds and plain yoghurt too. Sorry - but you did ask! Other small points - the shower was woeful. Either scorching hot or icy cold and zero power. I didn't bother in the end. The TV is in a weird position so can't really be watched with any comfort. And the kettle had to be put on the floor to allow it to be plugged in. Not the safest?

We loved everything about Struan House. From the moment we were greeted by a very friendly host who showed us to a large and beautifully decorated room with panoramic views. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and we slept like logs. Breakfast was very good indeed and we sat at a communal table where it was lovely to interact with the other guests. The food was of very good quality and a variety on offer. It is without exception one of the very best places we have stayed and would have no hesitation in recommending the property. We only stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer.
There is nothing about this property that we didn't like.

We enjoyed our stay here very much and would definitely book again! Great central location and lovely accommodation, we were welcomed very warmly by one of the staff, Catherine and she made us feel at home straight away, gave us recommendations on where to eat and she was a star! Very comfortable and clean rooms and trust me I am fussy about things like this. The whole house has lots of character as did the room we stayed in and it makes a welcome change from your bland, corporate big hotel chain. We met one of the owners in the morning, Gilly and I could have chatted to him all day, he was engaging, fun and I felt more like a friend than a stranger, he was lovely!
ok, this is a difficult one, when my husband and I went down to breakfast, one of our little dogs, howled the place down and I asked if I could have breakfast in my room, this was not a problem at all, breakfast was brought up on a lovely tray and condiments etc and the breakfast itself, traditional Scottish, all the trimmings, looked amazing but it had a lot of grease and I had to use napkins to absorb some of it,( I feel bad for saying that) but once I did this it tasted really good, it is the only thing I didn't like. Will we be back? we most certainly will! :)

Stayed at Struan House overnight on a recent cycle trip. The house is beautifully restored, with plenty of attention to detail. i can only imagine the hard work which must have gone on to create such a gorgeous home. The room (8) was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean. Had a lovely sleep in a very comfy bed. Breakfast was freshly cooked to request and there was plenty of choice. I liked the large oval table, nice to be able to chat to other guests over breakfast. Left happy and well rested :-)

Sruan House has a lovely and very welcoming host. The house is most centrally located in Buckie, next to a flowery square, the sea and one of the churches. Superb views! You can open the windows for fresh air and listen to the sealife. Importantly, it is a handy location to make daytrips to Lossiemouth, Duffus and elsewhere. The house offers a nice choice for breakfast.
Only minor points here. Sound proofing between the rooms was not perfect but this is often the case in B&Bs. The shower in one of the rooms was awkward to operate. As for breakfast, it is a good idea to inform the host well beforehand if you have special requests (days before). The style of deco was a bit much to our taste but then again tastes do differ. Struan House is certainly a place that we remember and would definitely stay again if we visit the area again.

This property was absolutely excellent. The style and elegance of the decor is to die for. The welcome was warm and genuine. The beautiful room had the best bed we have ever slept in away, so comfortable. The host just says what do you want for breakfast, no menu and out it comes while the sideboard was groaning under the number of fruits, yogurts and fruit juices provided. It is a place we aim to go back to regularly, near to family and so stylish. Positioned near to fish and chip shops, good idea when you arrive on a first night and want to eat and settled down.
We didn't find anything we didn't like, even views of the sea. We loved our stay and can't wait to go back.
