The hotel is situated in a quiet residential road and very convenient on foot for the city centre, museums and old harbour, unusually, a locked garage was provided. The hotel is compact with a lift and good sized rooms, it is a little old in style but no problem! the high point was the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff who were all quite exceptional in caring for us and offering helpful suggestions about what and where to visit in Rotterdam. Additional confidence was provided by a 24 hour receptionist who always remembered who we were, what room we were in and the number of our garage and ready to make us a late night hot chocolate - impressive! given the opportunity we will return!

Nothing, it was a really pleasurable place to stay

The location of the hotel was ideal for me - it was away from the main road so there was no disturbances at night, but it was still within walking distance from the main road where the closest metro station and tram stop are. They have someone manning the reception 24/7 which is very important because their hotel's policy requires that I leave my room key with them for safekeeping every time I leave the hotel and collect it from them when I return to the hotel for the night. This is a good policy to have so that I do not have to worry about not losing the room key outside. The size of the room was just right for a solo traveler like myself. I also love it that there is a safe in my room. Although my room is just one floor above the reception, I can use the lift available if I want to.

Perhaps consider placing anti-slip floor mats in the bathroom because it is very easy to slip and fall when the floor is wet given the tiling in the bathroom. There was no electric kettle in the room which would be good to have because I wasn't sure if the tap water is safe to drink and I didn't want to buy bottled water outside.

Everything was perfect from arrival to check-out. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was lovely, and I especially liked the lavender-scented soap in the dispensers. We were able to leave our luggage after check-out, which made exploring the area before our train so convenient. Thanks again for letting us charge our phones after taking so many photos and videos. Such a thoughtful touch since our train tickets were saved on the phone. The hotel had a very homey feel - i kept telling my husband, and I would definitely book here again. The location is excellent, with supermarkets, shops, and cafés nearby, and Rotterdam Centraal within walking distance.

There's nothing to complain about. It's the perfect place to stay in Rotterdam!

I found the hotel amazing — the staff were super friendly, and the room and bathroom were very clean. It had a small balcony, which made it easy to air out the room, and a large window that let in plenty of light. I had to work during my stay, and although the desk was small, it was surprisingly comfortable and made a big difference (rooms in this price range are usually not well equipped for working). The location is excellent — just a 7-minute walk from the central station, where you can catch a bus to the airport and connect to many other places. Excellent value for money!

The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable on great attractions and restaurants to try. The room was cosy and well-prepared for us. The lift to get our bags upstairs was a definite bonus! The breakfast on offer was also wonderful, with an excellent variety of foods that ensured we all had something tasty to eat before a busy day of sight-seeing.

It was a very hot few days, and while the ceiling fans were a welcome addition to cool things down, with climate change bringing hotter, more humid summers, it might be worth investing in some reverse cycle airconditioners to really help guests cool down on those balmy summer nights in the lovely city of Rotterdam.

The room was a great size. We had the family room that actually had space for 5, so whatever your family needs they will probably have room. We left our bags in reception whilst we went exploring before we could check in and the woman at reception at the time was wonderful and friendly. When we went back to check in we were greeted by a friendly man who was also working the desk and bar later in the evening. Breakfast was lovely, a good varied offering and fresh scrambled eggs and/or pancakes made on request.

The fan in the room didn't work correctly and didn't serve its purpose. We told reception on the way out so I'm sure it's been sorted now. No other 'didn't likes'

Small family-run hotel with a great location. The rooms are small, but the furnishings are so well thought out. Everything you need is available. Very clean and hygienic. Rooms were cleaned daily. Always fresh towels available. Very well-kept rooms. Breakfast was good with lots of wholemeal bread, muesli, sausage and cheese, .... Staff very nice. The nearest metro station (Endrachtsplain) is about 7 minutes away on foot. With line B you can reach Hoek van Holland beach in 40 minutes. Really great. The price-performance ratio is very good. Really highly recommend this hotel.

I personally found this location perfect for me, nice walking distances for site seeing, quick access to tram lines & nice quiet location out the way from the busy high streets, I'll easily come back to this location, i acquired a large room with balcony, however some of my friends had small ones, so we ended up in my room most evenings.

If I'm honest I couldn't say a bad word, all staff were lovely & place is kept clean, however i don't think my friends would say the same, they didn't like their cramped room compared to mine, i just think i got very lucky. rooms are for crashing in after a long day, so if you plan on doing a lot then splash a bit more cash for a double bed, least then you will have plenty of space & a nice balcony to chill.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at Breitner Hotel! The accommodations were very satisfactory, hotel staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating, and location great for seeing the city. We rented good bikes at the hotel for €16 per day and biked the whole city. Very nice trip. And our afternoon manager, Bavo, was most helpful in showing the places to visit and 'not to miss' on the map he supplied. He was fantastic for local info and fare. Should I ever return to Rotterdam, we're staying here. Enjoy!

I booked this one for other people and they couldn’t be happier. Really no complain whatsoever from them. They even said that next time they visit me they will be staying here.

Not something that they disliked but maybe a suggestion to put a barrier or safe door on the stairs close to the rooms (not the one next the elevator) since it is too step and if you’re a bit distracted coming out of your room you could fall. Steps are too narrow there so a fall could be pretty bad.
