We had two rooms. They were nice and clean. From the bigger room we had a great view (we could see the castle). The on site restaurant has good a la carte food (it's better than the buffet-style dinner). The breakfast was perfect. The swimming pool is a great extra.

We had to wait more than one hour for the check in (one of our rooms wasn't ready). We couldn't use the balcony daytime, becouse there wasn't any umbrella to defend us from the sunshine (the weather was extremly hot during our stay). There was formerly a beautiful lake near to the hotel, bit it isn't existing anymore (bad surprise). Of course it isn't the fault of the hotel, but on their page they must inform the guests about this fact...

- the hotel is tidy, the common areas have been renovated and look very cozy and modern - a cozy spa center, just keep in mind that only adults are allowed in the sauna and jacuzzi area - the rooms are neat, not big, but comfortable - tidy environment, you can take a walk in the surroundings - pleasant and helpful staff - the hotel has a restaurant

The air conditioner was not working in the room (as the reception said, they turned off the ventilation in the whole hotel because it was cool enough according to them), it was very hot in the room, the only way to get some air was to open the window, which meant noise from outside.. Also visiting the spa center required early registration by choosing a specific time (2 hours), it was difficult to know in advance your arrival and the exact time when you can go to the spa. However, upon arrival, no one checked any registrations, everyone could go to the spa whenever they wanted..

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Troskan. The location is excellent—peaceful yet just a short walk from the main attractions. One of the highlights was the stunning view of the castle right from my room, which made the experience truly memorable. The breakfast was fresh and varied, with something for everyone to enjoy. I also want to highlight the staff, who were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming during the whole short stay we've been there. The room was super clean and spacious. The athosphere of the hotel is also excellent - probably also due to the well thought and almost luxury interior. The castle is very close - we could walk from the hotel, and the view from above is really fascinating

only 2 things which are more like "room for imporvement": 1: the sofa bed has a lot of metals and springs at reach so be very careful with small children - we've decided to swap and kids slept on the big bed 2: for some reason when we've asked for only water during dinner we had the waitress rolling her eyes. Then asking water again from her was clearly something which have offended her. I don't know if it's rude to ask for only water during dinner, (I haven't found any warnings/notice about it.) Everyone else during dinner were very kind though, so maybe she only had a rough day

Great hotel, in the vicinity of the Trakošćan Castle. Clean rooms, kind and helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing. However, the dinner is more focused on the meat, not so many options for vegetarians/pescatarians. There is the animation team who organises activities during the day for kids and adults as well! Also, the hotel seems to be popular choice for schools and youth sport clubs, so bear in mind that it can be quite full with children or young adults.

Very affordable, nice and tidy, incredibly nice and friendly staff. We rented a couple of e-bikes and their whole bike-for-rent lineup is over the top. Our models were Specialized Levo, and they had a couple of regular MTBs with top of the line components.

The pool is quite small, and if you're not from Croatia you should know that wellness here in not remotely in the same league like Tuhelj or Olimia. But that's why the price is also very different. :)

The location of the hotel is superb. Everything was clear. There is an inside playground for children and outside there is one as well next to the restaurant. The parking is free.

In the pool, both ladders are unsafe as the screwing is not/cannot be done properly. Compare to the size of the hotel, wellness dept is very small, therefore you have to book the wellness in advance. Staff could be nicer but still OK.

The hotel is near the castle with amazing view and quiet place. The hotel has spa and swim pool however we didn't use it during our short stay. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. Good value for money.

The furniture in the room is old and not in very good condition (3* hotel worth at most).

Everything was perfect! The hotel itself and rooms are confortable. I liked the flexibility of the staff. We called the hotel and warned that we would arrive 30 minutes after dinner is finished (after 21:00). The hotel staff prepared a nice late dinner for us. This is what the doctor just ordered! Cause we drove for 10 hours (stuck in traffic) and were very tired. Once again, many thanks to the staff!

The staff are nice. The place seems well maintained. It worked great for a sleepover en-route, late check-in was not a problem. Really do watch out for the deer when you arrive from the highway at night!

The air conditioning was too cold everywhere. You could turn it off in your room, but I was still cold at breakfast.
