The location is excellent as everything is within walking distance. Finding the parking for the hotel was difficult but the excellent Lucy gave directions and even came outside to try and explain their complexities. Lucy was friendly and very helpful throughout. All the staff were helpful, carrying suitcases for us and always asking if we had enjoyed our day. The meals were good, especially the pizza and the breakfast was plentiful. Comfortable bed and plenty of hot water.
We would have liked lighter breakfast choices, eg porridge, cereals, croissants. The décor in the rooms is tired, skirtings etc need a paint and the bathroom needed attention. General maintenance needs to be done. Strangely the bar/restaurant do not stock any sparkling water-a shame.

The Staff at the King's Head were both friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was exceptional and very good value for money. The room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed, hot shower and the standard of cleanlliness was very good. The hotel is situated in the middle of Beverley and we were able to visit all the local shops and our relatives in Molescroft without using the car. The main selling point about this hotel is its staff who go above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We will certainly use them again.
Our sleep was disturbed by other guests coming back late at night and using the night entrance which bangs loudly when closed.

I grew up in Beverley but sadly my parents no longer live there. We wanted to stay in the midst of the town so where better. I knew of the King's Head. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even cordoning off a disabled space for us in their very small car park and told us yo do that our whole stay. I still have very good school friends in Beverley who we saw a lot and love to reminisce of 'old' times back in the 70's. And to see places I used to go.
There were only 2 little snags with the room. The plug in the bathroom sink didn't keep water in so washing was hard, and the tv signal wasn't great as there were only the standard channels decent enough to watch.

Everything! The room was delightful, spacious, beautifully appointed and with thoughtful touches like coffee bags and nice biscuits that were very much appreciated. The bathroom boasted a large walk-in shower and gorgeous fluffy towels. We slept soundly in a king sized bed that was very comfortable One night really wasn't enough! The historical nods throughout add to the charm. The location couldn't be better. On top of all of this, the staff are wonderful, absolutely brilliant. Hats off to you all! Thank you for a perfect stay.
Nothing. It was perfect. Car park is small but both couples managed to get in. Large car park not too far away though.

Fabulous location - watching the bustling town from the window was lovely. Free car park right on site. Breakfast was great. Comfortable room, spotless linen. The female staff were so cheerful and helpful - particularly the woman who explained how to find the car park - a very warm welcome from her
One grumpy young man on the check in desk at reception- completely different attitude to all the other staff. Maybe he was having a bad day?

Great location in the centre of a beautiful, town, market square. Close to shops, restaurants and other bars if you want to explore. Lovely decor in the suite. Nice coffee and complimentary cookies. Huge bed!! Nice decor in the bar area, and seating outside in the market square or the rear garden if the weather is kind.
Staff admitted to being busy when we arrived (Bank Holiday). Couple of touch ups in the suite and it would have been 10/10. Why swap a double socket from chromed to single white and not touch up the paint around it? Bathroom sink paneling starting to swell where damp getting in the wood. Poached eggs came hard boiled for breakfast, 15min to replace (perfect), and only 2 families in the restaurant. No black pudding and only a thimble of dried beans on a full English.

The location is spot on, there is a good selection of rooms and suites, the staff are friendly and helpful. Having stayed in both rooms and suites i do enjoy the place, i have also stayed in 3 other locations within Beverley centre in the past but the Kings is my preferred stop.
This is the 6th time I've stayed at the Kings head in the last 5 years , the staff and location are great, The only slight issue are the rooms are looking a little tied and require some TLC. on my first visit i stayed in Egbert, at that time the nets curtains on the window was ripped and 1 draw missing on the dressing table. On this occasion 5 years later the net curtain is still ripped, 3 draws have now been removed possible broken and there is no lamp shade on the ceiling just a bulb. Nothing major but a little maintenance would go a long way, i didn't bring this up with the staff at the time due to my workload and time available

Brilluant suite in a brilliant pub and hotel. Location is brilliant with free parking. The staff are amazing and friendly. The room is spacious and luxurious with a massive incredibly comfortable bed. Lovely hospitality tray including taylors coffee. Roll top bath plus excellent shower and bathroom. We are now looking at installing a similar unit at home. We will definetly be back. Also had Christmas dinner in the testaurant which was excellent as well.

The hotel is in a very central location. The room was large and comfortable with more interesting decorations and furniture than many chain hotels. We didn’t eat or drink in the bar downstairs but it looked popular. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very good value. We would definitely stay at the Kings Head again when we return to Beverley. We parked in their small car park at the back and we were able to leave our car there the next day for a few hours after checking out.

Great location, style of hotel and rooms, comfy bed, coffee/tea making facilities in room, biscuits, hairdryer, nice towels, decent shower. Nice breakfast menu
Drain smell coming from shower, decor a little tired in places, particularly in the bathroom of 'Forkbeard' room. people should be made aware of noise from pub downstairs till late at night at the time of booking. They do provide ear plugs and it didn't bother us as we were in the pub till the music stopped but for some people this may be a problem.
