Great location. Easy walk to town. Unit we stayed in had an amazing view of the water and reef. Air conditioning worked great. The Belize Diving Adventures operation on the dock right by the Yacht Club has great service and options. Patz restaurant across the street has great American breakfast options. Margie and Kenny's down the street has great Belizean dishes.

The pool, while very nice, wasn't shaded. The Yacht Club is independently owned condos, and while there is a front desk, it is staffed shorter hours so it's not like a typical hotel or resort. There also aren't shared items like bikes, kayaks, etc that some of the other resorts provide. This is nothing against the Yacht Club, just for comparison to other full service resorts on the Caye.

We had beach front balcony view and the condo was cleaned daily. We enjoyed the location and how beautiful they kept up the grounds. The pool was clean and very refreshing. The view was breathtaking. We liked not being in the heart of down town, but being close enough that we could easily drive the golf cart there without it being too long of a drive. The staff was very delightful and the laundry service was a much appreciated.

On the nights we had people below us, we could hear everything. They were by no means loud, but the condos echo and we could hear their music and their conversations. Not to the guests fault, so we did not complain, but be prepared to hear everything or to be heard if you are in the downstairs facilities. Not sure if they could also hear us upstairs, but I would assume. I would suggest a fan on the outside decks. When the breeze stops, the bugs are bad.

The staff was great! Friendly and helpful 😊. The new SP Belize Water taxi express is literally next door, very convenient going to Caye Caulker and Belize. Beautifully manicured grounds and close to the airport and downtown, can walk to many restaurants on the beach side. Also, July was quieter since it is a low season, so we got some really good restful nights sleep.

I liked everything, but I think they need to fix the pool light for late night swimming. The sargassum was really heavy this year, but that's not their fault. Overall it's a really great stay.

Loved the IBYC! It honestly has the best location and the best views in San Pedro. We really loved the facilities and staff, particularly Jessica the front desk manager and Felipe, who rescued us when we needed a small desk to work on. We stayed in unit 1B which is as close to the water as you can get and is on the top floor. We spent hours on the balcony staring out at the ocean. (tip: ask for property map before booking to see where units are located, some have better views than others). The grounds and landscaping are serene and make it feel park like. A huge plus is the giant drinking water tank in each room. One thing to know is while it looks and feels like a hotel, it is essentially a condo HOA where the owners rent out their units through a management group. This means that every unit has different furnishings and levels of remodeling. So, you need to look at pictures and confirm the unit meets your needs. (meaning, don't assume every 1 bedroom is the same). Also worth noting is that the San Pedro ferry landing just moved next door (Jan 2025), so those taking a ferry from Belize City can walk 5 mins to hotel. Otherwise, the airport is 10 minutes taxi away and the hotel pays for your trip taxi ride to the hotel.

The wifi isn't as strong as it could be and we struggled getting a solid single in some parts of our unit. Also, it was down for almost two days, which made working remotely challenging. The bed in our unit was listed as a "queen" but was really a double/full sized bed. We were told that it was a "Belizean queen size" but I think a better approach is to list the bed sizes on booking.com to match international standards.

All the units face the ocean, with private covered patio and the great sea breeze blowing in. The air is perfumed by the blooming plumeria in the center courtyard around the pool. The kitchen was very well equipped, including salt and pepper! The bed had nice linens and a comfortable topper and was larger than a usual king. Diving Adventures is right on the pier. It is quiet at night, and only 0.7 miles from the ferry dock and all the restaurants downtown (an easy stroll along the beachfront to get there!). There is a little produce stand just to the left of the entrance in the day for fruit and vegetables and a good size grocery store about a block and a half back toward downtown.

Our A/C unit did not cool as well as we would have liked…maybe needs a recharge of Freon or something?

We were so impressed with the location, cleanliness, and comfort of this place. We would love to return. The cleaner did such an outstanding job - it was so nice returning to a clean room every day. And Jessica at the front desk was helpful with advice and reservations. Very comfortable bed; shower had great hot water and good pressure; easy parking across the street for a golf cart; great location in town so you get a little street noise, but that is expected for the location. Basically exceeded all our expectations.

Isla Bonita Yacht Club was the perfect location for us - just out of the San Pedro activity zone but close enough to walk to most everything. The room was very comfortable (minus the bed - it was too soft and should be replaced). Drinking water was provided, there was plenty of hot water for showers, there was an air conditioning unit in the bedroom and the living room. Staff were great and very friendly. The grounds staff is constantly working. The security staff at night were very friendly. The pool was convenient and close to all the rooms. There's an outdoor shower to rinse off salt water and snorkel/mask/fins or fishing equipment. The pier abutting the property hosts Belize Diving Adventures. We did two snorkel trips with them - very friendly and knowledgeable. You can snorkel right off the pier and see rays and fish.

The bed wasn't great - should be replaced with a new mattress.

Charming relaxed resort with orange roofs and green garden on the waterfront. Much more character than some of the modern high-rise hotels. Close to supermarkets and a short walk from downtown. Staff is really taking good care of the place. Waterfront unit 21a is somewhat tired but everything works and the kitchen is well equipped. Comfortable bed. Great air-conditioning and good WiFi.

If you have loud neighbours like I did, the voices can be a little disturbing. Pricy like everything in San Pedro.

Great location. Convenient to town but not in the middle of San Pedro. Dock on property where you can snorkel and a dive company on that same dock. Beautiful views of the sea from our second floor balcony. Fruit stand out front which was great for breakfast. Parking across the street or along the side of the building to park your golf cart. They arranged our last minute request for a golf cart (ask them a week or so ahead of time to make it easier on them). Fully stocked kitchen. Plan to come again next year.

Noisy at night due to the golf carts on the road because our unit backed up to the road. Quieter on the balcony.

The property is right on the water, a pier for swimming is right outside the gate. The new ferry dock is just down the beach from the property, a very walkable distance. The grounds are maintained impeccably. Close to town. All appliances worked well. Shower was great. The staff cleans on a daily basis.

The property is close to the airport, so there is noise from the planes coming and going. There were mosquitoes, so bring bug spray if that is an issue.
