Riad Sultana is a nice small riad located right in the centre of the old madinah making it so easy to walk to many attractions. The staff is very helpful, all of them but especially Amina, she does go the extra mile to help guests. For example, she didn't hesitate to walk us half way to the mosque. The room is quite small and simple but the bed is comfy and it is nicely cleaned. The breakfast here is fabulous, traditional marroccan bread and porridge as well as other things such as omelette and morrocan pancakes so hats off to the breakfast lady ! I do think that this riad is value for money and I do recommend it.

I didn't like that there was not enough ventilation in the room. There was like a sewage smell at time coming from the bathroom which was quite unpleasant . The owner needs to also invest in proper duvet such as quilt as it was a blanket inside the duvet cover and obviously it would move inside . And a bathroom mat would be a nice addition too.

The riad was great! The room is not too big, but it corresponds to the pictures and, in my opinion, quite enough for a few days. The staff is really great and helpful. The breakfast is good and plenty, and you can enjoy it inside or in the terrace. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the medina, but it can be difficult to find upon arrival. Note that the entrance to the riad does not have any sign, its just a door. For that, it was really helpful to book a taxi with the riad. The driver walked with us to the entrance (since cars can't go in the medina).

I did not leave a higher rating as the bed is quite hard, and we had back aches after a few days sleeping on it. The shower only has hot water for 5 minutes.

Very nice riad conveniently located, just 2 minutes walk from Bab Theatre, close to all the interesting sights, easily reachable by walk. Staff is very kind and helpful. Terrace and breakfast are lovely.

I spent the last two nights in this room, room 1 at first floor...that was very different from the first night in room 5 at second floor. There's only one tiny window facing the inside, so there's no passage of air and a lots of humidity. The water on the bathroom floor never dries, also when I checked in the floor was already full of water. All my money, books and passport were a bit damp. In general it's a nice riad, my suggestion is to book the rooms with the colorful windows facing outside.

Brilliant Riad in the medina of Tangier. We really loved this stay and thought it was good value. The breakfast on the rooftop each morning was just fantastic. I loved sitting up there watching the seagulls while drinking mint tea and eating various Moroccan breads, eggs, porridge and whatever else was served that day. Really good! The room was nice, on the smaller side, and a bit basic but comfortable. It was chilly in winter but there was a duvet and the aircon does do heat mode too. Great location - easy to find and walk everywhere. Tangier medina feels very safe and relaxed.

The staff were amazing, the breakfast was delicious, the price was excellent, the rooms are lovely, shower water pressure and temperate is really good and the location was perfect, right in the middle of the Madina.

We were in the street facing bedrooms and it was unbelievably noisy until 2am so we asked to be moved into an internal room for the next two nights which the staff were really helpful with. Maybe bring earplugs? The beds are very hard which doesn't suit us but some people like a hard bed so... 🤷🏼‍♂️

Nice and comfortable Riad on a small alley away from the main streets in Tangier. The place has been nicely decorated with local design details. The rooftop terrace is great, not only for breakfast (which is quite hearty), but also at night with great views of the city.

If you prefer a quiet(er) night, select a room in the interior of the building vs. facing the street/alley below. While it is a small side alley, it can get loud at night with people talking below. An interior room might also insulate a bit from the early morning call to prayer.

I stayed at Riad sultana week ago and would highly recommend it. The riad itself is in a very good area surrounded by lots of shops, eateries and cash exchanges. Our room was very cosy and clean. Every Morning we were served a big tasty Moroccan breakfast filled with pancakes, bread and fruit. The staff at the riad Mo and Nadia genuinely care about their guests and will go out of their way to facilitate their needs. (Just be aware one of them is a Man city fan :) He's a great laugh too though... Edit: Pease make sure you book the airport transfer with the riad as they only work with trusted drivers. This will ensure you are taken straight to the door upon your arrival.

Helpful and charming staff. They arranged to collect us at train station and bring us straight to Riad, helping with luggage(and again for the return journey)- worth the cost as the Riad is not well signed (google maps works). Bright and clean, aircon worked and hot water for two in the shower. On fine days the terrace with views over Medina is good for breakfast. Large breakfast; offered semolina porridge/soup which we enjoyed.

The bathroom is good apart from the drainage. Need to use the shower as hand held to reduce water on floor; when the water pooled outside the shower it had no where to drain. Some rooms have no external windows.

The building was lovely and room 5 where we stayed was spacious. The staff especially Amina and Zachariah were very polite, hospitable and nothing was too much for them. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The Riad needs signposting as Google maps wasn’t very good and was quite hard to find at first. The door in the bathroom couldn’t close and we had to slam it close. The shower needed a mat or shower curtain as the water kept spilling onto the floor which could cause someone to slip and hurt themselves.

The Sultana Riad was a fantastic choice for our stay in Tangier! Mohamed and Bilal were incredibly kind and two of the nicest people we met here. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The breakfast was delicious, served on the terrace with a stunning view over the Medina. Our room, complete with AC, was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Its central location was ideal, with many attractions within walking distance. We were also glad we booked the taxi driver through the Riad. He picked us up from the airport and walked us to the door at night, all at a fixed and reasonable price. Highly recommend!
