The staff at the Riad truly bring the place to life, and Lahcen was amazing from start to finish. On my last day, as I sat on the rooftop waiting for the taxi he kindly arranged, he picked up a guitar and started strumming. Then, out of nowhere, he sang me a song. It’s one of my favorite memories from Marrakech—an experience I’ll never forget.

When I first walked in, I had a bit of a “catfish” moment 😂—the pictures were definitely brighter than what I saw, but that could’ve just been the time of day I arrived. There were lockers, but you need to bring your own padlock (which I didn’t, of course). Still, they assured me there had never been any theft issues, so no worries there. The rooftop breakfast with the sun shining was absolutely superb—a perfect way to kick off the day! I was hoping for a bit of cheese, but hey, that’s just a minor detail 😂.

Riad Sijane is an incredible place to stay! The owner is very kind, friendly and super helpful with whatever you need. I was able to keep my backpack there while being on a Toubkal tour, could stay until late evening before my bus was leaving. The atmosphere is awesome, it is very calm, nice music is played. I loved the sweet tasting breakfast it was my morning blast! The hostel was very clean, showers and bathrooms separates for male and female, dorm beds had warm blankets. All perfect, I returned once again and then also extended my stay.

The automatic light that was on just 10 seconds at the bathroom drove me crazy. The rest perfect.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Riad Sijane in Marrakech! It's an incredible place, right in the heart of the Medina, offering a vibrant and lively atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of this beautiful city. The accommodation was simply perfect for me, and the price made it even better – great value for such a wonderful experience. Lahcen, the host, is hands down the kindest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. He’s so accommodating and attentive, making sure every need was met with a smile. The staff were equally warm and welcoming, and I had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people from all around the world. Although I initially planned to stay for just a few days, I ended up extending my stay because I was enjoying it so much. The breakfast was delightful, served with fresh tea and coffee – the perfect way to start the day. I will definitely be back to stay here again – highly recommended!

the vibe was very nice in the hostel, we had Russel a nice guest that stayed for some weeks in the hostel and cooked for everybody. everybody was spending the evening on the rooftop! Also the location was very nice, is close to the center, i had other hostel that were a bit further so I had to walk through empty streets at night, which I don't like as a girl.

the bedding could be a little more hygienic, there were sheets that you could use to put around a blanket. the sheets were clean but I don't know if they clean the blankets. myself I prefer a down to sleep with.

Lahcen was a wonderful host and truly made me feel at home. He always welcomed people with a warm smile and happy to answer questions. The rooftop terrace in this Riad is a great way to meet other fellow travellers too. Lahcen also plays music in some evenings on there, which was always a good vibe. This is a traditional Riad style hostel so it’s quite small and intimate.

The place is very beautiful. The staff is super friendly. Mohamed is a very nice person, he picked me up in the street when I couldn't find the place, he is someone you can have a good conversation with. The breakfast is exceptional and it differs with other accommodations in abundance. I totally recommend it.

The streets around are very busy and it can be overwhelming if you are not used too. My bed in the dorm was just in front of the door, so the light was a little bit annoying at night, once I fell asleep there was no problem. There were two men staying in dorms that made the vibe kind of weird, but that's not under control of the hostel.

Pleasant stay for 2 nights in a lovely riad sijane. I slept in a dorm room while the rest of my family stayed in the 3 person room. We didn't spend much time in the riad during the day but we enjoyed breakfasts and the evening chill time when hanging out at the terrace with Lachsen (who works there) and other random guests. We shared some snacks, played different instruments and had a lot of pleasant conversations as well as loads of simple fun.

I don't recall any inconveniences.
