The staff made our stay for my wifes 60th birthday along with our family very special. Nothing was too much trouble even down to having a beautful meal ready for us on our first night, even though our plane had been delayed. Everything was done willingly with a smile and you certainly got the feeling they all had pride in their role there. I would recommend this Riad as a top class place to stay if you want a quiet oasis away from the wonderful madness of the Marrakech Medina ! This was our first time in Morocco and we are so glad we found this marvellous place.

It is impossible to put anything in here !!

I recently stayed at Dar Asam in Marrakesh and had a wonderful experience, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff. The riad itself was clean and quiet, offering a comfortable retreat in the heart of the Old Town. While the location didn’t stand out as anything particularly unique, the charm of being in the Old Town is inherently delightful. However, what truly made my stay memorable were the staff members, Sanaa and Omar. They went above and beyond to ensure that I felt at home and that all my needs were met. Their dedication to making things easy and pleasant for guests is remarkable. They attended to every detail and were always willing to help, making the stay not just comfortable but genuinely special. A highlight of my stay was Sanaa's cooking. Her food was exceptional, far surpassing any restaurant in the area. I highly recommend asking her to prepare a meal during your visit; you won’t be disappointed. If I return to Marrakesh, Dar Asam will be at the top of my list for accommodations. The warm hospitality and attentive care provided by Sanaa and Omar truly make it a standout choice.

- You need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach a location where you can order an Uber. - The Old Town closes its doors by 11 pm, and returning late at night can feel like navigating a maze with Google Maps making no difference.

The location was perfect
very near the main square and spice market, and exceptionally quiet. Breakfast was very thoughtful
delicious jams and fruit, wonderful mint tea and coffee, and each day was something different. The room was very comfortable, and a good size. Good shower. But the very best of all were the staff
Omar is a gentleman
polite and friendly, whose customer service is impeccable. He came to the taxi to meet me on my arrival (taxis cannot get right to the door), served me mint tea and little biscuits, drew a map to show the best way to the square. Even gave his mobile number in case of any problems. Nothing was any trouble
he even made breakfast on the morning I checked out, even though it was very early, and then carried my case to the taxi. Omar
you are a star! đŸ€©

I loved everything!

The food was fab, especially the home-made desserts. Everyone was very nice.

The location is great, if you are not direction-challenged. It's in the maze of winding, narrow streets with motorcycles whizzing by. If you aren't comfortable getting completely lost, when you are on your own, then this might not be the best choice for you. With two people, or a more adventurous spirit, then this is excellent.

As first time visitors to Marrakech we couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay. A wonderfully helpful and friendly team made our stay so much easier. Sena's food on our first evening was delicious and Omar could not have been more attentive to our needs. Cleanliness was exceptional. A beautiful oasis in the hubbub of the Medina. A short walk to some excellent restaurants as well as the main square. Despite visiting in Ramadan we didn't experience any difficulties and the restaurants we chose all served cocktails, wine and beer. As did the hotel. With only 5 rooms the riad was very bijou. My only comment would be to add an extra chair in the hotel room so that a couple can both read and relax after a day of walking. Security wasn't a problem, neither was privacy. We were really appreciative of a different cultural experience.

This was my favorite Riad ! The hosts Omar and Sana were attentive without being intrusive. Sana is a fantastic cook. It is well worth having dinner in the courtyard or the rooftop, weather permitting and never trust the weather reports 👍. No worries though, Omar will make your dinner really special wherever you dine. I loved the location right in the middle of the Medina. There was a walk to the Riad through alleys and over brick lined streets to parking which was a little further away because we didn’t listen to Omar ( our fault) 😁. Also, don’t expect to pay more than 7-8.00 US dollars for parking !! ( Omar’s handy tip) . The souks are around the corner and through alleys with many stalls of merchants selling their merchandise before the actual souks. Which allowed for even more choices and prices. You will not regret your stay.

Nothing to not like

Location is within minutes of local attractions. Omar, Sanaa and Khadija who work there are superb in going the extra mile in trying to meet our expectations and made all the efforts to make us feel comfortable. Moroccans are friendly people. Christiane, the lady owner of the Riad communicated effectively and answered all my queries before my travel. The Madina which is the old city is dusty, however going to the modern part of the city near Gueliz can give you a break, where the modern cafés and wider roads and cleaner air. Scooters an motorbikes are every where in the little alleyways but this is part of the fun. In January and you walk in short sleeves? wao.

None really.

The location of the Riad is perfect for access to everything we wanted to visit. It is only a 3 min walk to the Souks and a 10 min walk to the main square and night market. The Riad organised a driver to collect us from the airport and a cart to carry our suitcases from the taxi drop off point to the Riad. It was very efficient and very reasonably priced. The Riad was extremely clean and the en suite rooms spacious and very comfortable. The best part of staying at the Riad however was the staff, Sana and Omar. Not only were they incredibly welcoming and helpful, but nothing was too much trouble for them. They made our stay very special. They were happy to make restaurant reservations, book taxis, advise on where to go and how to get there, provide copious amounts of ice for cold afternoon drinks and even taking us to an eating place that was difficult to find on the map. Sana cooked us a delicious supper one evening and made sure we liked all the proposed ingredients. Both Sana and Omar were incredibly attentive but never intrusive. The service was second to none. We would highly recommend this Riad if you want to have an authentic Morrocan experience but be well looked after at the same time.

Nothing.

If we could have scored an 11, we would have. Arriving late at night Omar came and picked us up from the nearest place. They arranged a transfer for us and it was all very smooth. When you come in from the busy medina you walk into a sactionary right in the heart of the town. Very quiet, lovely atmoshere, lovely smell (the oil the heat up makes the whole place smell delicious without being over the top). The service from Omar and Sana was well above and beyond duty. Nothing is too much, there is always time for a friendly chat and big smiles. Sana cooked dinner for us two times and the restaurants in town have to be jealous that they dont have her as a chef. We loved our week in the Riad. Thank you so much Omar and Sana for making our stay excellent! Highly recommended!

That we had to leave :-( Nothing to fault, it was way beyond our expectations

The whole stay it’s been fantastic from start to finish! The riad is quiet, clean and cozy with a beautiful terrace on the top. Breakfast was unreal, different every day and filled with Moroccan specialties. Omar has been amazing, willing to help in every situation and time of day/night, we really felt at home. We stayed 4 nights and will never forget about this little gem in the heart of the medina.
