If you are reading this review then hurry and book your room at this Riad! Our stay was short, but simply amazing. Not only is the Riad absolutely beautiful, with an incredible rooftop, amazing courtyard, delicious restaurant (probably the best dinner we had in Morocco), and spacious/comfortable rooms - but the staff here is was truly makes the difference. This is a family run Riad and they make you feel like family from the second you walk through their doors. The location is perfect, only a 1 minute walk after your car drops you off and perfectly near the action of the Medina. They are also accommodating with booking tours, cooking classes, hammans, etc. (Book your private tour with them directly!! And make sure you have dinner with them at least one night!!!) Overall, this property was a 10/10 and I couldn’t recommend it more - we can not wait to come back and stay again!!

This is a beautiful Riad, the family who own it have done a wonderful renovation. Sitting in its stunning communal area and drinking the best mint tea we’ve had in Morocco was a delight. Our room was comfortable, and everything spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a meal one night, perfectly home cooked. And while quite expensive, you get what you pay for … and it was delicious! The Riad is in a perfect location just within the Medina walls, a minute away from transport pick up/drop off area and local cafes, and only a few minutes to restaurants, the Blue Gate and the beginning of the souk. Batoul, the hotel manager, organised a guide for us on our first day, to help us navigate the Medina - an older gentleman who was outstanding in his knowledge and professionalism. Batoul was wonderful in her assistance to us, also organising our day trip to Volubilis and Meknes, and a transfer to Chefchaouen. And many, many thanks to Sara, who went out of her way to serve us so very well every day of our 5 night stay. Yes, it’s the staff who run this Riad who make it such an outstanding place to stay. We highly recommend it.
Not really a complaint, this is an old Riad! But the plumbing in the bathroom (shower in particular)) was just adequate - not quite what we’re used to! And we were on the 4th floor and the staircase was quite narrow, could be an issue for those with any mobility issues. We’d booked a mid range room (21 square metres) through Booking.com. If we’d known how glorious the suites were, we would have splurged and booked one! Unfortunately the Booking.com explanation wasn’t clear in its descriptions. Our fault, we should have researched further. Next time!

Everything!! This Riad is an absolute gem. It was my first time in Fes, and like many, I spent a lot of time looking for a good place to stay, reading reviews, and researching while still not really knowing if I was picking the right place. Simply put, I feel like I stumbled upon a jackpot. I can't imagine having as good of a time in Fes if I hadn't stayed at Riad Moulay Driss. If you're planning a trip to Fes and reading this, book your stay here now. You won't regret it—I guarantee you will thank me. The location is perfect. The Medina is obviously where you want to stay and explore, but if you're not used to it, as I wasn't, it can be a bit of a maze, and you will probably get a little turned around. Riad Moulay Driss is in the Medina, right off one of the main streets. More importantly, and something I guarantee you will appreciate, is that it is near one of the perimeters and an impossible-to-miss landmark, the Blue Gate. Getting back will never be a hassle, and getting there from the airport or train station is much easier than reaching other places in the Medina. Besides the perfect location, this Riad is beautiful. It's a renovated family home, and the pictures don't do it justice—it's stunning! As I mentioned, this was a family home, and the family still owns and manages the Riad. They and their staff are incredible—very friendly, multilingual, and they will take great care of you! They can answer any of your questions and help you set up any tours you want to take, both in and out of town, at very reasonable prices. They're also super communicative before your trip and can help you arrange everything. If you're looking for a place in Fes, you've found it. You will love this place!

This wasn’t just another Riad but indeed a small palace; situated conveniently at the edge of the medina. This family-run property was just perfect for my 4night stay in Fes. Ms.Batoul Sqalli, was a warm and welcoming host and took care of all the minute details in making me feel at home and my stay very comfortable. The carefully restored property had all the charm of an old antique Riad, while providing all the modern amenities in the room. The food was home-cooked style by Ms.Sqalli herself and was delicious. Mr.Moulaydriss Sqalli was my guide for the tour through the complex maze of the medina; he made sure that he understood my interest in art, architecture and textiles and took me through the tour of all the right places that I couldn’t have found, had I gone on my own. It was an enriching experience to discover hidden gems and get to know this ancient city through his articulate and inciteful view of the historic and the present day Fes. The staff, Otmane and Fatimzara were so efficient and helpful at all times. I will definitely choose to stay at this Riad or should I say “Batoul’s home” on my next visit to Fes. It is she that makes this Riad a home.

What an amazing place! This riad is so so lovely. The inner courtyard was beautiful and covered in traditional zellige tiles. The breakfast every morning were divine. Every day they cooked the eggs differently so it never got tired. The staff were SO attentive and kind, they made us feel so welcome. They organized a phenomenal tour of the city for us, called a airport transfer, and provided a laundry service. Would recommend again and again!
Nothing!

The property is absolutely beautiful! It’s a perfect example of Moroccan architecture and felt luxurious. It’s also in a great location - it’s just inside the medina, so it’s easy walking distance to the souks and historical sites, but it’s also very easily accessible from the main road so there’s no fear of getting lost or inconvenience with having to walk far with luggage. The food was delicious, very fresh and traditional. But the staff were what really set this place apart - they were so kind and helpful and just went above and beyond to make our stay even better. We would definitely come back!
The food was delicious but it was very expensive.

The staff were absolutely amazing and went over and above: friendly, professional, discreet and they always called us by name. The housekeeping staff was better than in a 5* hotel! The breakfast was incredible, homecooked and served (no buffet!). The decor was opulent and a gem of Moroccan design and architecture. There was a beautiful rooftop, although it wasn't set up unless you were having dinner as I guess it was too early in the season to just "hang out".
This was not a problem for us but as an fyi, there are no elevators in this riad.

Riad Moulaydriss et Giacomo was just beautiful. The location is excellent as it is close to the Medina wall making it easy to get in and out with luggage. Even though we were on a high floor, the staff took all of our luggage up which was great. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and lovely The real bonus to staying here is the hostess - Batoul. She took care of everything. We had a few things set up ahead of time and I wished I had let her handle it. Fez is complicated and she made it easy. Breakfast was great. We unfortunately did not have a chance to eat dinner there.
Truthfully, I liked everything about it. No complaints.

After a long travel day, the riad is an oasis. You’re welcomed with tea as you start your stay with them , and receive the best service while you’re there. My bedroom gorgeous, with a comfy bed (firm but not a brick, super comfortable) and air conditioning. Bathroom was lovely and the shower had great water pressure. Food was delicious, experience was great. Outside the stay, their guide through the Medina was perfect! Later on I asked a friend who lives in Fes about him, and he said the man is a legend. It showed! The whole staff and woman who manages it were a delight, will be recommending to friends and family who want to come to Fes.
It was great for me! The only note I’ll give as an FYI (since I didn’t have an issue) is there is not an elevator, so the stairs are the only option. There are rooms downstairs if you need.

The riad was fairly easy to find. Upon arrival, we were very warmly welcomed by the staff. The courtyard is beautiful and the welcome team was a perfect way to relax after a long travel day. The rooms were impressive with tall ceilings, comfy beds, and beautiful decoration. Clean bathrooms and shower that was stocked with body wash and shampoo. Well air conditioned. Very nearby is a bank, post drop off, pharmacy, bar, and convenience stores. Don’t miss the opportunity to take the tour of the Medina and to the ceramics co-op. Our guide was excellent! Another must not miss is the rooftop dinner. Fantastic assortment of local salads, crazy good dessert, and I had the pastilla which was incredible. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
There isn’t anything significant I could complain about.
