The Riad is a 5minute walk opposite the Medina/bazaar and the Medina has 2000 alleys and shops! The Newer Medina is not far either but expect lots of walking. 10minutes away from town shops. 20minutes away from the shopping malls and parks. The host Muhammad was supportive, helpful, knowledgeable of prices, rates and excursions - he helped book our cooking class and gave visitors information on Hammams, desert stays and henna artists. "Basha" Palace has beautiful architecture, we stayed in the larger triple bedroom, there were 6 of us altogether with 2 rooms outside in the extended courtyard- fun to walk outside if it rained (!) There's a beautiful rooftop balcony to sit, eat and view the mountains. The kitchen has fridges and basic facilities. Cameras on ground floors, a security locked room for valuables and printer (we needed to print our boarding passes). Glad we stayed here, a nice experience, we all enjoyed it.
FYI = the building doesn't has a lift which isn't ideal for disabilities or pregnancy or heavy lifting of suitcases up 3 stair cases. No carpets or rugs in bedrooms and little to no ventilation in bathrooms. Although there's new plaster in the en suites, the lack of lighting and dates features made it a bit claustrophobic and slippery. This is nobody's fault as the architecture doesn't allow for these changes. Check with your booking agency for travel costs, currency rates and how to haggle for non-tourist prices. As we stayed in Fes/Tangier, the taxi service, fares and driving is crazy. For the same trip, 2 taxi services charged 350MAD - dirhams = £27, and 60 dirhams, £4.75.

What made our stay so special was because of Yassine and Hassan, they were both very welcoming and helpful in any regard. We talked with Hassan about everything of his culture and way of life in morocco. He was so kind and open, we really found a new friend and felt very happy at our Riad. The breakfast was good, the location is nice when you wanna immerse yourself in the business of the old medina but sleep at a quiet place. We quickly realized that the medina is too busy for our personal taste.
When we arrived the chef of the Riad double booked our room, so we had to stay in a cheaper room, which was not refunded. That room was very small, one bed was broken and it was not very clean. Once we got to our actual room there were many ants coming through the wall, but it was quickly fixed by the staff. Overall, when all the issues were solved, we loved our room.

Pacha Palace was a delight, I’m so glad I chose this Riad for my first trip to fes, it’s centred beautifully in the middle of the medina and a walking distance from all the main tourist attractions in Fes. The riad itself is stunning and feels so scenic, the rooms are huge and the architecture throughout the riad is captivating, the traditional moroccan breakfast they serve is amazing and very delicious. Not to mention the highlight of our trip was Yassine. From the moment we arrived he was extremely hospitable and attentive to any requests we had and made us feel like home. I would recommend Pacha Palace to anyone visiting to experience a memorable trip.
Nothing. Everything was perfect

I could write a book about the positives of this venue. The view from our room on the top floor was astounding, the room itself was large and comfortable and the location was just outside the medina (2-3 minute walk), so it was quiet without being far from the action. Huge bed. Property was a little difficult to find (a doorway at the end of a narrow street), so ask around at the nearby carpark/taxi stand and someone will point you in the right direction. Staff were exceptional (especially Hasim), and the downstairs common area (where a great breakfast is served) is better than the photos suggest. As a bonus, we were invited to attend a Moroccan engagement celebration being held on the premises - who could refuse that!
Not a major issue, but the bathroom was small and dimly lit. Better lighting would be helpful.

Great location, just outside the Medina so was quiter and yet very convenient. 7-10 minutes walk from the Blue Gate. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was good and the bed was very comfortable.
Nothing much comes to mind really. Do bear in mind that this is a basic riad not a 5 or even 3 star hotel (which of course is reflected in the price). Therefore the bathroom needs a bit of improvement and the hot water took a long time to come through.

From the beginning we was warmly welcomed. The riad is so beautiful and big, the terrace view is awesome , and the room was big. We left early in the morning, at 4:30 am . And without asking, they prepared us the breakfast to go. It was melting my heart. Because I had experience with other Riad, and they do nothing in this situation. It have also really good position, easy to find, also with a parking 2 minute walk from Riad.

The staff were wonderful, the location was wonderful, the roof terrace was perfect for watching the sunrise.. The Riad was lovely and I would not hesitate to recommend it, or to stay there again!
Expect to be woken early by a dozen or so cockerels announcing daylight. Or by barking from some of the wild dogs living in some nearby woodland!

Yasin and Sayed were very nice and accommodating. Yasin went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of in every way. He answered all of our questions, offered to show us where the pharmacy was when we needed it and also ensured we had breakfast “to-go” when we left early in the morning. they truly catered to our needs and we enjoyed our stay!
the bathroom could use a bit of updating. it looks like the toilet was fixed on the bottom but it’s a very messy job and makes the room look not as nice. The pillows were also very small but neither of these two things affected the time we had there.

The breakfast was amazing and it was really close to the medina but still quiet. The courtyard and the terasse are really nice. Mhamed was also really welcoming and kind.
Our room didn't have any windows to the outside to clear the air from time to time. Other than that, everything was fine.
