Fantastic beach bungalow with terrace, surrounded by palms and with amazing access to the ocean. Very good location for snorkling, swimming and diving. The beauty of the ocean unforgettable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Food below expectations: only 2 times per week buffet and 5 times dinner a la carte with limited options of dishes. Dinner was served very late (from 7:30 PM). Very poor internet connection, even next to wi-fi routers.

we had the Best holiday here, everything was perfect - coral reef so close and very rich, turtles in every day snorkeling, boat trips to mantas, diving…everything was so much better then we expect! we thank to entire staff-everybody here was caring and nice (Thank you Ahmed :) ) diving centre here is great, in particular thanks to Marco for the individual approach

all very well, a real island, wild but with all the fundamental services of a resort, ideal for couples, for families like ours (two children aged 19 and 22), for everyone. you can feel comfortable but if you want to have fun just go on excursions and meet the fantastic diving guys. you can snorkel everywhere or almost everywhere around the island, fish, turtles, sharks, manta rays....we saw everything. excellent food, wide choice, very friendly staff. large and clean rooms. the sunset was wonderful... one evening there was a boy playing the guitar at sunset... exceptional

It is such a beautiful little island with tons of natural vegetation and beautiful reef with lots of fish turtles and reef and nursery sharks. Additionally they organize snorkel dive tours to near by islands. Beautiful beaches and authentic little huts with each having private beach attached to them( if you can request hut 18 or 17 :)). Food was so yummy, not your typical buffet but a la carte to choose from for lunch and dinner and plenty of options. Courteous staff and super smiley. Yummy drinks in sunset bar. We also did massage. It’s super authentic not like big 5 stars and that’s the most charming thing about it. Feels like a proper Robinson cruso island. It doesn’t have pool but we did snorkel all day long and tanned, so that was great for us. Would highly highly recommend it. We will be back. Thank you for our amazing stay of 7 days.

Just departure boat to organize at later point. We were dropped off to airport 6 hours before departure which sucked, we could have stayed at least 2 hours more and enjoyed our holiday and had a cocktail in the bar and read a book instead of sitting in the airport which is not renovated with nothing to do.

A Truly Enchanting Escape to Makunudu Island Our recent stay at Makunudu Island was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and natural beauty that truly captivated us. While the bungalows might show a touch of age, this in no way detracted from the overall experience. In fact, it almost added to the island's rustic charm. What truly shone was the incredible ambiance of being on this idyllic island, especially when shared with someone dear. There's a certain magic in the air that allows you to simply be yourselves and soak in the breathtaking surroundings. The culinary experience was a definite highlight. Each meal was a delight, showcasing fresh and delicious flavors that left us completely satisfied. The staff at Makunudu also deserve high praise. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready with a smile and assistance, yet they perfectly balanced this with a respectful distance, allowing us the space and privacy to fully enjoy our time together and the island's serenity. The natural beauty of Makunudu is simply stunning. Whether exploring the vibrant underwater world while snorkeling or diving, or simply gazing at the crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounding the island, every moment felt like a postcard come to life. Our holiday on Makunudu Island was more than just a getaway; it was an enchanting experience that has left a lasting impression. We were so utterly charmed by the island's unique atmosphere and beauty that we are already dreaming of our return.

Our only minor disappointment was the wait for the speedboat transfer upon arrival at Malé airport. We had to wait for another couple who were also heading to Makunudu, which resulted in a delay of over three hours at the airport. After a long journey, the heat and tiredness made this wait somewhat unpleasant.

The peacefulness, intimacy and privacy of the island was absolutely incredible. The island has also been kept very natural, so although there are no gyms, or swimmings pools etc, you feel like you are on a traditional Maldivian island. The food was amazing and the staff made it all even better, from remembering our favourite drinks, advising about snorkelling to helping us get to another island immediately to see a doctor when we needed it!

The property was natural rustic and had a very authentic experience and atmosphere The house reef was gorgeous with a wide variety of marine life

They only provided 2 500 ML bottle of water per room per day. despite opting for a half board board package not having access to water especially on a sunny island was very disappointing

The staff were lovely from arrival right up until departure. Food was good and the facitilites perfect. A lovely quiet rustic Island and we will definitely come back.

There is not 1 thing I can think of that I didn't like.

Absolutely brilliant location. Diving and snorkeling is some of the best I have seen in the Maldives. The food was exceptional, worthy of awards. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. Anwar our server was exceptional. Marco the dive instructor was brilliant. This was a vacation to remember. We will definitely come back. The resort would deserve 6 stars if that were possible. There is no pool or gym, but honestly with the house reef so vibrant and the water so warm, who needs those things.
