We stayed for 5 nights. It has a good location, it is a less than 5 minutes walking distance from the bikini beach. The room is large, comfortable and clean. If you want that they clean your room, you need to put a sign (please clean my room) on the door. We got a bottle of water, coffee and tea every day.

The breakfast is the same every day. You have some options what to eat but after a few days we would like something different. There were a lot of flies during the breakfast. We had a room on the ground floor and we had to have closed curtains all the time, so the people would not see inside.

I think I was given one of the newer rooms. It was very spacious and pretty modern. Comfortable bed. I had a small kitchenette too with a sink, kettle and fridge. There was a little balcony and a nice view of the sea from my room. The breakfast was really good and plentiful, with a very decent amount of variety each day. The breakfast items varied each day so I don't know why other guests said that the breakfast was the same every day because that's not true. The beach across from the hotel is really beautiful and quiet. It's not a bikini beach but you can swim there if you have a rash vest and swimming leggings. I really enjoyed my swim there. The hotel is very close to the bikini beach and the main tourist area in Maafushi. Maafushi is not a big island and is easy to walk around.

It's cheaper to book excursions, day trips and resort day visits from the agents that are along the main waterfront and harbour. Booking those at the hotel is more expensive. There was no more shower gel in the bathroom dispenser when I checked in. It had run out. And little shampoo either. However, they were topped up quickly, once I asked. The wifi kept cutting out and was not reliable at all. That really needs to be upgraded asap. I'm so glad I bought a $40 local sim card at the airport on arrival; I got great use out of that.

I like the personal from there, they are very helpful and friendly

It was noisy because after them is building a new hotel and we couldn’t rest..they offered us another room in a different hotel where was quiet but we didn’t have hot water..at least we had quite 😄

Staff picked us up from the pier and gave us a lot of information about the Island. The environment is quiet and the breakfast is good.

The beds are quite old and therefore not really comfortable. We wanted to take a public ferry back to Male, but the staff took us to take a private ferry which is more expensive. He told us this private ferry departs definitely but the public one not always depart, which is a lie.

People! And location. All are hard working people, with a smile on their face, and sooo gantle and kind in conversation and in general Locstion is a bliss! I would never be on the other side, where is noise and crowd. Here, in Sunrise you have absolute piece in morning coffee, you can snorkel, and when every busy day of yours on reef, resort, jet, with sharks.. is over...you come again in pieceful street and Sunrise hotel Good job folks! 👌

Great sea/coast views from the balcony - large clean room with two beds, plus a smaller room with sink, kettle, etc. Helpful staff, filtered water always available in the lobby, excellent breakfast buffet in covered area just infront of the hotel.

We were on the top floor and there's no lift! If you have mobility problems, ask for a ground floor room!

We stayed 4 night in this hotel. Location is very good, few minutes from bikini beach. The reception allowed us late check in, thanks for that!

The bad was very unconfortable. Only once they clean the room. We had to ask all the time for everything- toilet paper, towels… No wather in the room. I think the hotel needs some renovation and also take more care about food there. But for the price we payed it was ok. You forget everything once you are outside and you see beautiful island.

- good location (but manyyy construction on the island so make sure to get sea view room otherwise you look at the construction) - very clean - awesome views - pick up from port to hotel - breakfast was sinple but good (eggs, curry, tuna, toast, 1 kind of fruit, tea, veggie stir)

- the female receptionist should both be trained a bit better. When I asked about excursions they gave wrong information and seemed very insecure. When there was no free shuttle back to male on the time i proposed the answer was ‘it is full’ and she turned around to talk with her colleague instead of offering me another solution. Maybe they don’t know better but in the end we booked all the excursions somewhere else and also the speedboat back. - could put more fruit for breakfast

The staff is really nice, helpful and always there to help you. When you arrive on the island the staff waits for you and drives you to the hotel and they carry your bags. When you arrive at the hotel you get welcoming drinks. They have a lot of excursion that you can pick where to go and what to see. The hotel is located in the center and everything is very near. The room is exactly like in the picture, we were on the 3th floor and could see the sea. The room was very clean and when you put a sign 'please clean my room' they clean at and you get new towels. Everything you need or need help with, the staff is always there to help you. And the breakfast was great, there is always something for everyone 😊 I was very sad when we were leaving and can't wait to come again!

The best location currently on the island, no bars with loud music on this side yet unlike directly near to the bikini beach, Still it is only 80m from the bikini beach. No loud construction ongoing currently nearby and nearby buildings are far enough, the city view does not mean here that you are loking at a concrete wall 1,5m away from your balcony like in some other hotels. Newly constructed building with nice interior design and furnishing. You are provided with sunbeds, which the staff will deliver to the beach for you upon request. The rooms are clean, the staff is superb. This is my 6th time on Maafushi (been in the much more expensive hotels too) and this is the best value hotel on the island, straight and simple.

Beware that there is no elevator though. The breakfast is good tasting but no real variety, only few a things to choose from, mostly the same everyday.
