It’s very clean and lots of nice extras like water available and little snacks. Hotel staff were all super friendly. Expensive breakfast, but kids eat free and it was a great selection. Comfy robes in room and slippers. Chocolates when you arrive.

Only problem was music could be heard late on Saturday night from the restaurant on the 8th floor(I was on the 6th) so if you’re noise sensitive book a lower floor room. Staff was great though and helped problem solve .

Well located hotel with gorgeous views over the city. Like everywhere in Luxembourg, the hotel itself was on the expensive side with cocktails at 25 euros and a cup of tea 9 euro. We were upgraded to a room with a view on arrival which was nicely laid out, with all amenities you would want. V clean. Breakfast offered a good selection of cold choices, a little limited on hot, but all were good quality and tasty.

I liked everything about this property! First of all the staff. They were all so pleasant, polite and welcoming. Nothing was ever any trouble; I never felt like a bother to them with anything - and I made one or two unusual requests! lol They treated me with so much respect and courtesy and they were always actually happy to help! The property is perfect - modern, clean, secure, above and beyond! I like that you have to use your key card to access the elevator (and the concierge is right there waiting to show you how!), and also that there is a safe in the room. The location is right between the train station and the city centre/old town. About a 10-minute walk to each. Very simple and easy. I received an upgrade and had a room with a great view of the city! The concierge is always happy to give you any information and recommendations you’d like. Check-in was on the earlier side and check-out on the later side, when compared to most places, which was nice. There is also possibility of late checkout if it isn’t too busy. In any case, they have a secure, locked room to store your luggage at no extra cost while you explore the city. That’s a great feature for me! I would definitely stay here again!

Hmm. It’s hard to think of anything not to like!

Large comfortable room and bed, different room design, staff very helpful, good location close to train station(no noise heard), easy access via road network and approx. 15 minutes walk to centre of city. (Or you can use any of the FREE public transport to get around)

Price of food at the hotel. Minor issue but no english channels on tv although there were some on the guide, lots of other languages even japanese. Not that we had an issue but Shower in middle of room may not be to everyones liking

I loved my room on the fourth floor that had a view of the valley and the old town. Apart from that the hotel had a vibe that was a little too corporate for me, but most of the people in the reception were genuinely nice, especially the Italian receptionist (I forgot her name, sorry).

The first two nights I paid about 450 Euros without breakfast which is obscene, even though the room was absolutely great. When the price went down to 250 Euros, I decided to stay on which I didn't regret!

Everything was nice. Indeed perfect view for old town, 5-7 min walk distance to downtown,very clean. So good 5 star service. Restaurant in the 8th floor very calm and cozy either for the breakfast or for the dinner. The only thing I missed, it was an information about how and where to park I found out it in advance myself. There are big underground extrapaied parking “Indigo” (Approx 30 € /per 1 day) And also you can leave your car key in the reception and they will park your car them self. But would be nice to know about this parking option in advance before you arrive there. However, that was definitely great hotel choice!

Location was great, on the edge of the city center, walking distance to the city centre. Room was spacious. View was lovely with a big window for natural light. Shower amenities (soap, shampoo, lotion) provided were good quality. Had a working desk. Staff were amazing! We got a sleepy time tea and slippers set next to the bed each night - nice touch!

The layout of the room is slightly inefficient with the shower cabin kind of in the way. Gym was good but only had 1 of each machine so if someone was using the treadmill, you can’t use it. The wifi in the corner room is not good but the staff helped us change our room immediately.

The breakfast spread was very good and the view at the restaurant was amazing! The serving staff at the restaurant and staff at the hotel were friendly and hospitable. We had such a great quiet room with a view, thank you to the staff (we didn't get his name) for giving us such a nice room. The location was ideal to walk to the city centre and it was a plus point to have a parking garage adjacent to the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Sofitel very much and would definitely stay in this hotel again when we visit Luxembourg next time.

The pillows were a bit too soft.

The lounge bar at the 8th floor is amazing, I had an amazing sunset up there with a nice bottle of champagne. The breakfast was also amazing. Very good selection it was missing a bit the British way on the bacon area . I loved the room and was everything so clean

Was nothing wrong I like everything mainly the staff were very friendly and all times make you feel comfortable.

Staff here are amazing. Emanuelle and reception staff were very accomodating. The facilities were good but not as strong as the price I paid. Great coffee and complimentary soft drinks in room

Reception aesthetics are not of 5 star standard. There was maintenance issues which affected quality of stay. Hotel rectified but need to show guests i advance how to use
