This hotel is one of the nicest I've stayed in. Firstly it's in a really relaxed and charming part of the city, but near lots of great stuff. We much preferred it to staying in Shinjuku (which we did later on our trip). The hotel itself is really quiet and relaxing and cool. It's modern and filled with interesting art in small gallery rooms as well as throughout the hotel. The room is designed nicely (modern, sockets on either side of the bed that were built into the bedside tables, the lighting was soft and relaxing). Plus, the staff were delightful and we had nice chats with them. I wasn't feeling well when I arrived and they were really kind and caring and they asked how I was feeling the next day. When it was raining they ran after us to give us umbrellas. Etc. I thought it was great value for money. There weren't many breakfast options but what we had was really nice and set us up for the day and I thought the coffee was good!

It’s a lovely place. Big, nice, and comfy room. Incredibly friendly staff. Lots of art. Big asset the coffee shop with amazing desserts. Nice amenities.
I am a walker so I did not mind. But, if you do not want to walk 15-20 minutes to and from subway, do not stay. The city is very safe, but some may feel uncomfortable walking in darkness. I did love the neighborhood Sumida.

This has to be one of the best hotels that my partner and I have ever stayed in. It exudes a lot of charm, and you can tell there was a lot of thought and quality that was put into the construction of the space and rooms. It is located about a 10~15min walk from Asakusa station (either the Ginza Line or the Toei Asakusa Line), and placed in a quaint neighbourhood with plenty of konbinis nearby. Rooms on the upper floor are easily accessible via the lifts, and the reception has staff till midnight! The hotel functions also as an art space/gallery, with art pieces/installations in the lifts, along the walls, and in the basement! The hotel room is extremely extremely cosy and comfortable. Clean beds and pillows, great AC, and strong WIFI! There's a big TV with netflix available, freakin' awesome. They provide room service every alternate day, with an emphasis on being environmentally conscientious, which we respect and follow too. Special mention for the bathroom/shower room. It is incredible. Unique wall material in the shower area, and the mood lighting was just a great touch. It's definitely a luxury, not necessary at all, but such a cool touch by the hotel. It really makes your stay special and memorable. Everyday that we took a shower, we just felt so in awe. Sounds ridiculous I know, so people should definitely book a stay here and experience it themselves. Staff were all very kind and friendly, especially when we checked in quite late (close to midnight), and also when we had questions about leaving our luggage after check-out. Cleaning staff were very respectful and friendly too! No issues at all. Kaika was a big highlight of our holiday, and we would definitely come back again. Thank you for the great experience. Love the space, we miss it already!
Nil! Best experience to date.

It was pretty cool to see a hotel, café, and art museum all in one. The art and overall aesthetic gave the place so much character. When comparing to other hotels in Japan, their rooms are very spacious, especially the bathroom. The facilities and amenities were complete, and the staff were hospitable and accommodating. I really feel like I got my money's worth, so I would definitely stay here again and even recommend this to others.
Their coffee at the café could be better. I ordered their café latte and cold brew, but both tasted a bit bland. Also, if you're not into walking, the 11-minute walk to the nearest station could be a bit of a hassle. Though, personally, I didn't really mind these as much. I still very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel regardless.

It was located in a super trendy art storage with a really cool cafe located at the property. There were complementary gowns, slippers, razors etc… we stayed in the family room or 6 people and although we knew it would be a little tight - we were surprised at the use of space! Well thought out! It was fantastic! Staff are amazing! They were there when we arrived at 12pm for check in and super helpful. Best thing it’s 6 min walk to Asakusa station!

This stay was amazing! It was a 10 minute walk from the nearest station and we loved that it was really close to the Skytree! We enjoyed walking back to the hotel and seeing it at night! Lots of amenities and the lounge was nice! We didn't get a chance to try out the cafe inside but we enjoyed seeing the many art paintings and sculptures around the hotel. Will be staying here again on my next visit! Thank you KAIKA staff!
The only thing I didn't like like was that our fridge barely kept our water cool or sometimes it just wouldn't work but it wasn't a big issue for us. We were mostly out and about all day so no biggie.

The room was really spacious compared to other hotels in Tokyo with the same price. The room was also super clean and the bathroom was great. The hotel design was really neat and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The location is a little bit far from the nearest station which is Asakusa station.

The hotel was super cool and very quiet. Our pre teen boys loved the loft sleeping area. It was a short walk to Asakusa train station which is on the line from the airport and also is a Ginza train line station which takes you to Shibuya. The robes were a nice touch and having the separate toilet and roomy shower together was great. Lastly, we wanted to buy some of the art!
The pillows took some getting used to but they gave us two more. Very few restaurants nearby but a 5 minute walk to Asakusa offered hundreds of options. We opted into the breakfast at the hotel on our last morning but it wasn’t one I’d eat again.

Funky and friendly staff at reception. The laundry was useful and there was a large dining area downstairs for consuming your own food and drinks.
The cafe had particular opening hours and the staff service was slow. They seemed to be understaffed.

The serene styling in the room helped us unwind and relax after busy and visually overstimulating days in this amazing crazy city. Our room was completely soundproof, and we never knew anyone else was in the rooms around us or using the elevators. We appreciated the extra space in the Superior room and the shower was exceptional.
It would have been great to have had access to some of the cupboards in the room but they were locked for some reason - but finding fault with the hotel or room is a struggle. We loved being in a quieter area so didn't mind the 10-15 min walk to/from 3x different subway stations and many of the attractions in the area. Nothing was far away.
