Had a "First Class Cabin" for three nights, which gives you more space and privacy than the regular cabins. The cafe area is a great spot to start your day and the onsen was a welcome treat after walking 20,000 steps every day! Never ate the food, but it looked quite good; many non-guests seemed to come for a bite and drink. Location is excellent as well.

The pillows are a bit odd, but the only real issue was the "the first class cabin" didn't have a fully enclosed sliding door, so the light from the hallway comes in, no matter what time it is. The smaller cabins have a "pull-down" door, which covers the whole area, which seems like a better set-up. As with many capsule/cabin type spots, there are many one-night working guests (and post-bar travelers) coming and going, so you might want earplugs!

- The location is extremely strategic. If you want to go Umeda, you can go by walking thru ~1km Osaka Garden City Underground or just take a Hanshin Railway train and it only costs 160 yen. - You get a morning breakfast from a restaurant inside the facility. - There is a nearby 7-11 konbini that does not even take a minute to walk.

- Men's shower water pressure is low and there is only 2 shower rooms. 4 rooms maybe needed. - Only 2 laundry machines :( - A specific room for arranging baggage maybe needed. I don't want to distract other guests while making sound... - 2F wifi is strange. Sometimes it wont connect, even connected, I cannot connect to some hosts and slow to load. 1F/lobby wifi is just fine. I ended up using my own cellular connection while in room.

Location is very good, almost sheltered all the way from Osaka-Umeda station; It's quite a walk, but it's all underground with well-lit connections, and the only unsheltered path is crossing one road. And a 7-11 is just a minute's walk away too! A pair of my trekking boots broke on my trip, and I wanted to bring them back for repair. The staff were really helpful and got some extra large plastic bags for me to store them.

Honestly no complaints! Really liked everything there.

The place is convenient as it is next to the station but be careful if you use google maps as it will lead you to the back alley of a bar, get to the general area and instead tap on the actual hotels icon. The staff were incredibly nice with their service and some of them were able to speak English which helped a lot. Whilst everyone was fairly friendly some of them made a passive aggressive comment during my encounter but that could’ve been a language barrier… There is a cafe within the hotel and is perfect for some good food at a reasonable price. There is also a 7/11 across the road which is great for some late night treats and it’s near a strip full of bars and restaurants. Would definitely come here again when I visit Osaka. Amazing location, close to bars, food and the station. Nice accommodating staff, clean facilities. Good choice for staying in Fukushima-ku.

If you book a normal room you will have to store your suitcase sideways in the doorframe as customary with capsule hotels. You can also try asking the staff to store your luggage but I don’t know if they provide that service. Otherwise they also have lockable storage in your room where you can store your valuable items. The first class cabin is spacious with a small round table beside the bed. The floor space is big enough to open and lay a carry on suitcase flat.

Room per night was very reasonable and affordable. The location was very near to Fukushima Station (3-minute walk). The room was sufficient for a solo traveller. Those coming with big luggage can store their luggage in a dedicated area, lock was provided by the hotel. The showers had amenities and were kept clean. Also had an onsen-style bath, ideal and recommended after spending the whole day walking around sightseeing. Everyone staying there was respectful and quiet. Receptionists and staff were helpful and assisted in doing my luggage delivery to my next hotel.

None, it was a perfect stay

The hotel, in general, was lovely, clean, and warm. The location was great for accessing subway stations and just walking around a pleasant area. The amenities such as showers, toilets, wash rooms etc were very nice.

Unfortunately with the cabin doors/shutters not closing fully, being left with about 20cm of open space let in outside sound such as other guests moving around, lights being kept on in the hallways, and snoring from other guests which resulted in my not sleeping :/ (not blaming the snoring on the hotel, but because the cabin doors would not close it became a factor). The cabin doors/shutters not fully closing is a default for everyone, too!

Location was okay - quite central but quite far from the typical tourist spots but if you want a quiet but still convenient place to stay then this is great. Really clean and modern, staff were great and my overall stay was good. Not suitable for those with large luggages and if you can, don't bring them there as its not convenient to have them stored somewhere else. No lockers so the best "room" to stay in is definitely the First Class Cabin. Lots of room, comfy and provides amenities that other capsule hotels don't e.g. loungewear/sleepwear. Would stay here again if the price meets my budget and will opt for First Class Cabin the whole duration of my trip (I stayed in both Business and First Class cabins)

For the short time I will be at Kyoto and a follow-up booking upon returning to Osaka, there was no free service for storage. No lockers too so that was a bummer. Otherwise, nothing else to fault here.

Was pleasantly surprised by the location. I did check it out before booking, but the fact that there's a train station near the hotel that has access to a lot of good locations (USJ, Osaka Castle, etc) is amazing. The capsules also feel more like rooms than capsules and have a lot of space. Makes it very hard to want to go back to traditional capsules.

I feel pretty happy about the hotel, so nothing much to note here. Perhaps a bit more space for luggage storage would be nice, and providing everyone a designated area for their big luggages perhaps, but it wasn't the biggest issue. If you do have a lot of luggage, I would check with the hotel first to see if you can bring it, because they do have some limited space.

There were bottles of fabric freshener available to help since I could not do laundry every night of my stay. Additionally, it was nice to have a rental mini-humidifier to help with the dry air from the heating. Front desk also holds luggage before, during, and after check-in/out. Location is right between two train stations, walkable distance.

The pillow was really firm. There did not seem to be other options for other pillows. Because the outside was very cold, the heater was cranked up high inside the hotel. Therefore the air was very dry. The coin laundry needs more maintenance to make sure it dries clothes properly.

The location was the best thing about First Cabin Nishi Umeda. 10 mins or so away from the Umeda Sky Tower and fairly close to several subway stations. I also liked how clean the facilities are, the cozy atmosphere in the lounge area. The bed was long enough for an European traveler, unlike many hotels I've been to in Asia. The staff was great too - ready to answer any questions you may have.

The curtain which you draw down when you are in your cabin does not fully come down. Not sure if it's some kind of design flaw or a safety feature in case of an emergency, but it is really annoying. Light bounces off of the ground through the gap between the curtain and the ground, so when you go to sleep, its still slightly too bright. Having a sleeping mask is a must if you want to have the most optimal sleeping experience. I also found it slightly annoying that you cannot use your own JP plug adapter inside the cabin, you have to rent it from the reception. Luckily, at least they let you use the outlets in the lounge area with your own adapter, so you can still charge your devices.
