I extended my stay immediately after few days of staying at the hostel. The bed space is probably the biggest you’ll get in Tokyo, I could stand up without hitting my head and I’m 170cm. There were only 6 beds in total + 2 bathrooms + 2 showers, very comfortable and cozy space. I had to take some calls during my stay but the wifi worked great and I could use the hangout spot right outside of the bedroom. The location was perfect - right by the train station, convenience stores, shopping mall, restaurants and cafe within walking distance. If you don’t feel like walking at all, the hostel is right next to the cafe with the same owner who even provides free cup of coffee! I loved the quiet local neighborhood where there were almost no tourists around and you could really experience how locals live. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of Shibuya / Shinjuku with tiny capsules shared by 10 other people in a single room, then this place is not for you. If you want a quiet, spacious and cozy space where you can unwind after a long day of exploring or looking for a base for your long-term base in Tokyo then this is truly a hidden gem!

Nice and not big hostel. So it's less noisy. Comfy bed, big bed area. Good privacy in bed also. Its really useful. Small microwave, kettel, so it's convenient to eat when you can't eat outside. And the best is the staff is so nice and helpful. I really appreciate they answer message fast and solve problem of you have. Thank you.

Air-conditioning was noisy at night because someone set the windspeed at maximum and keep the AC remote control. So it could be disturbing to sleep even with earplugs.

Luan is a so a good person and he is worries that everything works fine, I felt so lucky to be in his Hostal, having a xonderfull coffe at Mils Coffe Shop. I felt as been with my family. Girish from India - France was my best room-mate. I recomend this hostal for the location as well. It has everithing close by.

Great bed size and decent location - a little far out of main areas but a train station is around the corner so easy to get to everywhere. Asakusa only 45 minute walk. Lovely staff. Great place to sleep while exploring city in day.

Bathroom facilities were a little cramped. There’s only 6 beds in the entire building so not a social place - but great for solo exploring.

I was really satisfied with my stay in Hostel 1010. I had a much larger space than the usual dorm type rooms in Tokyo, the beds are huge and comfy. With only 6 beds, you have more privacy as you only have a 5 other people to share the space with. Basic amenities were provided: towels are replaced every 3-4 days, kitchen utensils, and separate toilet and shower for men and women. They also provide free coffee everyday when the cafe is open. Most of all, the host Mr. Luan was very kind and helpful. He makes sure to ask if you have any problem to make your stay more comfortable and he talks to all guests and makes you feel at home. Overall, very happy with my stay and will surely come back next time I stay in Tokyo.

On my first few nights, some guests were making a lot of noise (which is expected for shared rooms) but I hoped they would be more considerate (you can freely tell the host if you have problems like this). You also don't get to talk with other guests given the language barrier. Transportation wise, the train serving senjuohashi is Keisei so if you want to base yourself in city center like Tokyo, shibuya, shinjuku, expect to transfer trains which costs a bit more. I hope the door lock can be permanently fixed as well but still I felt really safe in my entire stay. 😊

First time traveling. I wanted a cheap place to sleep, shower and hang out while I visited all of Tokyo and this place delivered. The owner is indeed friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the 12-15 minute walks to kita senju station and minami senju station and the private senjuohashi station that was right around the corner from the hostel. I got lucky and was able to meet a German and a Japanese roommate during my stay. If I ever travel again I will stay here again.

The place has everything necessary for a longer stay - it’s not too far from the centre and has a train station nearby. Owner is kind and always ready to help - answers to messages promptly!

Considering that it’s a shared accommodation, I got no complaints. During my stay, I had no problems with other guests - quite the opposite, I had the pleasure to meet some interesting and kind people.

I place I'd definitely recommend to stay in Tokyo. You'll get a bed on a low budget, the room is clean and I felt comfortable. There is everything you need as a backpacker. The owner was friendly and offered to give me recommendations.

It wasn't very social at the hostel. So if you wanna meet people you'll have to look for a bar.

The owner is incredibly friendly and all the people I met there were very welcoming and fun to be around. It's the best hostel in Tokyo! Better yet, you get free coffee everyday!
