The twin bed room was indeed spacious as others have noted. We had a very comfortable time here, ended up extending our stay to eight nights. It feels quite small, even with 10 floors, which we appreciate. You walk in the door and you're quickly in your room with little walking or waiting. It's nicely interiored, nothing too fancy, but a nice living space. It's well situated, less than 15min to Nishiki Market.
The café appears to be mainly a shared space with no serving. No problem for us, just a note. It was our second hotel in Japan and it appears to be normal that bed sheets are not changed daily. We could choose a day we wanted our sheets changed. Also, no regular house cleaning. Again, not a problem for us, but unexpected given the four star rating (which is a stretch).

Reception was quite good, staff speaks English very well, so nice and easy. Location was good in the centre, can go everyone in the city centre by walking Pretty close to Kyoto train station as well. Also we didn't want to change hotel for Osaka, so we did 2 daily visits and it was easy to travel. They provide nightwear, shower 'sponge' provided.
Only negative points - Booking told me that all the tax included which I thought of city tax as well. However it wasn't, so they charged me extra. There was no breakfast to purchase. They don't clean the rooms, only changes bed sheets if you ask them. Pillows are too slim but bed is comfy.

Space - Surprisingly there was just enough space for two, moved the study a bit to accommodate a second luggage. Coming from a tiny hotel in Tokyo, this felt luxurious haha Showers - AMAZING, envious that we don't have this water pressure back home Location - Just one train stop away from Kyoto station so getting on the Shinkansen was super nifty. Tons of food options available. Really appreciated that it was in tucked in a quieter part of the city yet just a little walk away and you'll see all the buzz. Enjoyed walking around and encountering quaint shops and cafes around the hotel. Made use of the many bus stops around the hotel to get around Kyoto

The location is great. 7e just beside the hotel. Few other convenience store in walking distance only.Omiya station just 5 mins away, few bus stop in walking distance (2-5mins). Few halal restaurant near the hotel. Burger revolution is just 6mins walk from hotel. Other halal restaurant can be reach easily by bus/train. Room is clean and quite spacious. Still have space for us to pray comfortably. The staffs very helpful and friendly. Awesome place to stay at kyoto. Its really worth the price 🤗🤗🤗

Staff at the reception very helpful since we can't speak Japanese luggage. they tried their best to give accurate instructions to our queries on directions to the various places of interest in spite of their limited English language. the nearby eateries are a plus point to stay here especially convenience store, 7-11 is just at the corner. we are lucky to find that the tram to Saga-Arashiyama park is just a short walk from the hotel.
the hassle of taking intercity bus to the station but overall the experiences to travel on the local bus was great and interesting.

Perfectly located near a train/ metro - station, connected diretly to all relevant sights. Direct train connection to Osaka, thus it's not only great if you want to visit Kyoto but also great for all wanting to go to/ coming from Osaka as well! Rooms have sound proof windows, so even tough our room was facing the very busy street, we did not hear too much traffic noise. The rooms are larger than the japanese average (we had a twin room) and are as clean as usual in japan (VERY clean). Staff is friendly and speaks english properly. Check in is possible via personal contact or via two automated check in kiosks. Coffee machine and microwave in the lobby and in a spacious lounge. 7/11 in the ground floor and multiple restaurants to dine in or take away within 5 minutes walking distance.
The coffee is not really worth the effort of going to the lobby, and the microwave and washing machine/ tumble dryer could use a translation sheet, as is common in international hotels in japan.

Good location, close to the commercial city center Gion (2 metro stops or 25 min walk). There's a bus stop right in front of the entrance with several lines going to the main touristic destinations. It's close to the metro station and the train to Arashiyama. Rooms are bigger than average, the personnel speaks good English and there's a free coffee machine in the lobby. Also, there is a Seven Eleven in the ground floor and a cafeteria space (without actual service, just the room).
We had loud neighbours in the room next to us one night, but that's bad luck!

The hotel occupies a prominent position on the corner of a main intersection, so it's easy to find. Despite that the room was quiet. Hotel room was clean and relatively spacious, excellently located with train stations and bus stops nearby. Working space with a built-in desk and power outlets, plus charging points near the beds. It was very easy to get a bus to attractions such as Fushimi Inari and Kinkaku-ji. You wouldn't need a taxi. Main station and city centre a short bus ride away. Lots of convenience stores around including a 7-11 in the same building, so getting cash and food wasn't a problem. Very comfortable to come back to after a long day's sighseeing, and great value for a short notice booking. I'd come here again.
There's no food available, despite the description stating they have a cafe. There is a dining room with free coffee and a microwave to heat up your food, and they state that you can order delivery as long as you collect it from reception yourself. But there's a coffee shop around the corner for breakfast, and lots of other options in the area. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for such a big hotel! I had to go down a few times to get one, but they are cheap and quick to finish.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I am on holiday I totally relax and like to start up conversation. Most likely because in my job, I talk to people, while my very limited Japanese was an obstacle the staff speaks English well. The room was large and I had the best shower ever. Now I have been to 8 different countries, but I have never came across anything like it.
Two things I did not like. 1. I wish I could speak better Japanese. 2. I wish I could have stayed longer.

This hotel is very competitively priced and a short walk from downtown. Although it was on a busy intersection we slept peacefully up on the eighth floor. The walls between rooms are well soundproofed and our room was serviced twice in our nine night stay. The room is small but well laid out with an excellent shower. Lots of dining opportunities nearby. Great to have the dining room for warming and eating our take outs at night.
The bedding was too hot for spring nights and we had to turn up the air conditioning so we didn’t overheat at night. They need lighter bedding depending on the time of year. They need more washers and dryers. There is no where to sit and relax either in the rooms, the reception area or the dining area.
