The room was quite large compared to many of the other hotels we stayed at. Upon entering you had a small closet after a small step up (we were o. The main floor). It had a separate toilet room to the bath/shower. The bed was definitely North American sized and there was ample room on both sides, no climbing over each other to get on or out. There was a small kitchen area with a fridge/freezer & a stove stop along with another small closet area and in room safe. It had a small table & chairs that you could eat at. I found this one the most comfortable in our journey to date (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto & Hiroshima)

When we arrived there was someone at the desk to check us in, hand us the building entrance keys, and explain how to use the keypad to enter our room. Since we were staying over 5 days we were able to request a room cleaning for one day, we just had to let them know the day before. If you stay for under 5 days you will have to pay extra if you want a room cleaning, but you can bring your towels down for new ones at any time. The hotel staff were often not at the front desk though when we were going in and out. The rooms were spacious compared to the square footage I was seeing at most other hotels, and it was a bonus that it even included a kitchen.

The location is quite far from the nearest bus and train stops. 10 minutes doesn't seem that far when you think about it but actually walking it (especially with luggage or in the heat) it really adds up. So just make sure you're fine with walking that far to get to transportation.

A good location in a quiet street close to Nijo Castle. Easy access to 7-11 convenience stores, and there is a laundromat literally 3 mins walk from the hotel - about 800-1200 yen per wash and detergent is included! Good food options nearby too. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean with most amenities, and they provided an iron and ironing board upon request. TV has ability to log into Prime and Netflix (if necessary). Check-in was smooth and the luggage forwarding service was available.

Pillows could be a little firmer although they did provide 2x sets. Despite leaving the "Clean Room" request on the door, the staff failed to clean our room on one occasion. No tea towels to dry dishes. No blind on the hallway window means you'll need a sleeping mask if you like darkness. Gion / Nishiki Market are over a 30min walk away, so I would probably stay a little closer next time, but still a good location.

The hotel has a reception near Kyoto Station where check-in can be arranged and a private car is sent to the hotel. The reception staff was very warm and friendly！ When checking in, the procedures were complicated and I had to wait for about an hour. The front desk staff was very patient in solving the problem. When I checked out, she also gave me a gift, which I liked very much and left a very good memory. Thank her very much.😊 The room is clean and spacious, the facilities are perfect, and those who like to cook can cook by themselves very convenient. I will choose this hotel again when I come to Kyoto in the future！！

Check-in procedures are suggested to be simplified to facilitate the reception staff to handle more quickly and conveniently. This will make the guest's stay experience better.

Mesi Stay Mayu Grace is a small somewhat boutique stype appartment hotel in a quiet bu central neighbourhood close to Subway station (Nijojo Castle). Our room, with kitchenette, was spacious for Japanese standards but still quite small, we knew. Bed is comfortable, kitchen nice, bath and shower good and atmosphere relaxed

Kitchen amenities are quite few, please adjust to the more European/Western guests that you receive. View in the back is not inspiring. Reception is mostly unstaffed which is on one hand understandable mot sometimes inconvenient

We loved to have a whole flat to ourselves with a lot of privacy. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, so we could easily cook. As our child was a bit too old, the staff gave us a bed guard instead of a crib, which made bedtime easier for our 2,5 year old son. The staff was very friendly and spoke some of the best English we heard throughout our whole trip. The location is near a few railway lines and very close to some sights. The building and the entrance look beautiful. Overall one of the best accommodations we have had.

TV didn't have any apps, so for Netflix we used our laptop and an HDMI cable.

The location was clean, modern, and quiet. It's away from crowds and had plenty of amenities and restaurant options near by.

As good as the location is, it is some distance from train stations. Approx .4 miles to the nearest. The check in process was confusing. There is a central reception desk for checking in to Resi Stay properties thats located near Kyoto Station. It wasn't needed as the hotel itself has a reception desk.

The space was large and very clean. It was easy to access from several bus and train lines, which was great for two tourists who wanted to see a lot of Kyoto! Overall, we were pleased with our stay at Resi Stay.

The front desk concierge was only available for several hours each day, which wasn't a problem so much as just different than what we are used to with a hotel. Additionally, there was no cleaning service during our stay, but we could ask for fresh towels if we needed/ wanted them. Again, this wasn't a problem so much as it is simply something that other guests should be aware of before they stay.

We can highly recommend Resi Stay Mayu Grace Hotel. It is perfectly located in the heart of Kyoto. The apartments are incredibly spacious, very modernly furnished, and absolutely clean. The perfect service at the reception is particularly noteworthy; they respond immediately and are extremely friendly, especially Narisa who stood out with her friendly demeanor. We hope to have the opportunity to travel to Kyoto again and will definitely stay at this wonderful hotel. It was a highlight of our 14-day trip to Japan.

We loved the hotel! It was more like an apartment and it had just everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped with frying pans and pots, as well as mugs and glasses. Also, they gave us instant coffe, tea, sugar and cream. The staff was very friendly and gave us more cooking staff and hungers. The coffe machine downstairs was also very useful. The bed in the bedroom was huge and comfy, there was also an efficient air-coinditioning, big bedside tables and a small table with two chairs. We especially liked the cleaniless of the bathroom and the carpet on the bedroom's floor and corridor.
