The house is really cute and the area is quiet. You can easily take the bus to get to the city center. The other guests were nice, it was easy to socialise and you could use the kitchen. Doing laundry was for free. There was enough space to leave your stuff in the room. I'd recommend downloading the chari chari bike app.
I stayed in the female dorm upstairs. Every time someone took the stairs or came into the room the bed was shaking enormously, even though people would be careful. The first few times I thought it's an earthquake (no joke). Also: the house itself would shake during the night? I don't know if the metro was close or anything, I even asked the other guests and they felt it too. Sometimes guests would check in really late or unpack their things after midnight, which was really rude and the room was shaking again. So if you're a light sleeper: you probably shouldn't stay upstairs.

I love how clean and tidy they kept everything, the shower was amazing and they have a heater right outside for when you get out. Also wonderful privacy in each of the beds. The common kitchen/dining area is quite small, only about 6 people could be sitting at the same time (it was never too crowded tho, every time we needed there was space to sit) and I don't think it would be to comfortable to cook there, but they have everything available to do so if needed. They even offer free laundry detergent and you can use the laundry machine if needed. The staff was super kind and helpful. One of the best guesthouses I have ever been, super organized in every way. Would recommend.

This was my first ever hostel stay! I felt it was a very homely environment. Everything was pretty clean and well-maintained. The staff is really nice & helpful: recommended me some places to visit & things to do. The free washing machine & dryer was very convenient.
The mixed room is next to the toilet & the wash area where people dry their hair. This can be convenient, but in the mornings it can get noisy, subject to how early everyone wakes up. The house is also fairly creaky, but it didn’t affect my sleep at least.

The staff were amazing, really friendly, and personable. Everything else was good but the staff were exceptional. The hostel was very clean, and the building is pretty neat looking as well. The location was within walking distance of a station and a few notable destinations. No dryer on site, just clothesline. However, there was a laundromat 2 blocks away, so that wasn't an issue. I'd recommend this location to anyone staying in Fukuoka. Great value for the cost.

If you would like to experience living in a traditional Japanese house, this would be a good choice, located in a quiet neighborhood, within walkable distance to the bus station; convenience stores are nearby. The kitchen can be used by guests at any time. Didn't get the chance to know about the staff there, but based on the intro note they post on the front desk, they are passionate about what they are doing, one staff I met on the day I left was quite friendly and helpful.
Considering this is a house instead of a hotel, there is only one restroom for each male and female and two shower rooms. Not much convenient if you use in rush hour in the morning or evening.

It,s a very small place I stayed there once 3 years ago already The staff is very nice and speaks good English The wi fi works well Bed / bathroom and the hostel in general are all clean and nice There is a small lounge but it’s really small just one table Nearest metro 10 min walk Lawson/7 eleven 2-3 min walk
There is no sound proof at all you can hear literally everything from anywhere inside the building that’s why you also can,t shower after midnight and you cannot talk in the lobby after 10 pm No kitchen

Definitely the STAFF! They are super friendly and welcoming. Most of them are capable in good english and willing to chat with the guest. Thanks to Natsumi, Yuji, Chaewon, Kiyoka, Mari, Yoshida san, Shion, Arisa and Erika. <3 The public area is right in front of the front entrance and super narrow which seems not enough space, but it actually has a really good atmosphere for making friends and talking to strangers. If you're a solo traveller or wanted to know new people, choose here!
No elevator, but fortunately, it's only a two floors building.

It's a quaint traditional style hostel. Was quiet and comfy. I only stayed one night as I had to take the Ferry to Busan early morning. International Ferry port a 15 min walk away, so it's convenient for people taking the Ferry to Busan in the morning.
This isn't the hostel's fault.... Just a heads up. The location is pretty far from the main JR Shinkansen station. So you need to take the subway and transfer and get to a location closer to the hostel and walk for a good 20 to 30 mins. Difficult if you have heavy baggage with you.

Natsumi was such a lovely staff member from check in to check out! It felt very comfortable from the beginning and everything about the stay was explained quickly but clearly. The best part about the stay is the access to community spaces because it’s very easy to become friends with other guests whilst staying, which makes the stay much more enjoyable.
Some of the beds in the shared accomodation room are positioned really far away from the air conditioner / ventilation so my bed got very hot overnight

Always clean and friendly staff, comfortable bed. I made lots of amazing friends and the welcoming atmosphere of the place contributed to that. If I'm ever in Fukuoka again I know where to stay. Thank you to the staff!!
