We booked Al Borgo for one night on our hike on the Via Francigena. On the day of our arrival Filippo contacted us that due to plumbing problems the apartment won't be useable unfortunately. *however* he managed to organize us a wonderful room at another B&B right in the center of the old town of Sarzana. Filippo had already made sure that it was paid for and that everything was organized and the host awaited us at our arrival. This is exactly the kind of service you wish for when travelling and unfortunate things like this happen. Grazie mille, Filippo! ❤️

Large comfortable room with a comfortable bed. The room had air conditioning which I didn’t need to use but visitors in hotter months would be pleased to have it. Pleasant outdoor shaded area to sit. Despite being close to the railway lines, the trains were I frequent and did not run at night so I slept really well.

Parking excellent. Size and comfort of room. Facilities ( eg shower) excellent.

Only problem ( not the fault of the hotel) was its location alongside the railway line … a little noisy and to access the centre had to use a pedestrian underpass .

Very nice room with a small kitchenette and air-con. In a very peaceful area and only a short walk to the train station. Free breakfast was fantastic. Great stay if you plan on visiting the Cinque Terre.

The plates/bowls in the room had not been cleaned properly before being put away in the cupboard.

Nice room, good facilities (including access to a washing machine), close to city centre. Very good breakfast.

I could not get the Internet connection to work

Breakfast was really great! The ladies / staff were very friendly.

The surrounding area is a little run down, but on the upside it’s only a short walk to town.

Friendly, helpful staff. We got some tips from Filipino of which surrounding places to visit apart of Cinque Terre. We had a nice room, always kept clean. The breakfast was nice too.

The room felt a bit damp when it was raining outside but nothing in hands of the staff.

Very nice room, comfortable and clean. The host was easy to communicate with and very flexible with our early check out. They kindly left us a self service breakfast. Location was a little hard to get to on foot because of nearby construction.

The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very nice and generous.

The arrival at night time was a little complicated, it was difficult to find the hotel, more street signs and lights would be nice and helfpul. Although Parking was limited, we did find a spot.
