Upon arrival, we had the overall feeling of being welcomed, as if entering someone's home. Franz and his team could not have been more attentive. The perfect hosts, their kind gestures were much appreciated. We enjoyed the best of hospitality in a beautiful historic building located in the heart of the village surrounded by stunning scenery. We travelled by public transport and benefited enormously from the provision of the Südtirol Guest Pass included in the price of our stay. The card allows free travel on public transport throughout the region. The network is a extensive & efficient

The hospitality at the hotel was very nice, they provided us with complimentary drinks and sweets, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was delicious.

There were several issues during our stay. There was no iron available in the room, and when I tried to contact reception by dialing 0, no one answered. Before one day of the check-in, I received a message via Booking from the hotel asking me to pay in advance. I ignored it, and later at check-in, I was told by the front desk that it was a spam message, which was concerning. On the day of check-out, I found a spider under the sleeping pillow while packing, which was quite unsettling.

Candlelit dinners and breakfasts. Gourmet cuisine. Host’s attention to detail, attentiveness and interaction with guests, from choice of room setting to choice of bedding. The hosting of various mini events that guests can participate in throughout the course of their stay (wine tasting, cookery class, aperetivi evening all complimentary).

Nothing, the property was exceptional in every respect. However, for the benefit of anyone considering San Candido as a base for skiing I would say that the hotel and ski station are ideal if you are interested in cross country skiing or if you have very small children who need to learn to ski. As an intermediate alpine skier you’d ski all of the run’s in San Candido in a morning. Helm, a nearby station offers a much larger terrain but is not suitable if you have beginners amongst your party as it’s largely intimidating reds and blacks that are fun but not for the faint of heart.

We had half board, breakfast excellent and dinner was fine dining. Dining service was excellent. Room was spacious; no view per se as we faced next door building. Great location about 4 mins from bus depot. Great service provided for pick up or drop off at train station which is about 15 minutes walk, 3 minutes by car. Nice view from rooftop patio; nice space to relax.

Mattress was too hard to get a good night sleep!! (sorry)

There were several "little nice surprises", like free weekly activities, wine tasting, vin brule, daily tea time in a very nicely decorated common space/room Excellent breakfast and very good dinners as well. Occasional dessert bufet / starter bufet as a part of dinner (too tempting, unfortunately) Nice wellness/spa area on the roof of the hotel

Super friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect. Breakfast provided a good start to the day.

The rooms were just a little warm. I understand the efforts to be sustainable but sleep did not come easy without air conditioning in summer.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. You can feel the boutique approach at every step, the food is out of this world and hospitality is first class. The location is right at the heart of San Candido with all the amenities under one roof.

Beautiful historic hotel! Facilities were modern and well kept. The staff was lovely and helpful. The restaurant was delicious with local quallity ingredients. Unbeatable location. Ideal to explore the Dolomites!

The location was great easy to find and close to lakes. Breakfast was awesome, loved the honey on the comb and jelly’s and variety and freshness of everything offered. Sabrina at the front desk was so helpful and went above and beyond for anything we asked..even tea late in evening and she was still so accommodating. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Lovely family-run small hotel in the city center of San Candido. Our room was spacious, clean and tastefully furnished. The entire hotel had a cosy, intimate atmosphere. Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast had a broad choice of quality food. There is free outdoor parking behind the hotel in a guest only parking space.

The only improvement I can think of is having a kettle or a coffee machine in the rooms.
