I personally stayed in the garden suites which were situated towards the back of the hotel and separate to the main building. As you walked through the hotel you saw the many amazing bars, rooms and facilities that were available at the hotel. My room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. There was everything that you would need and nothing obvious missing. I stayed midweek, so it was generally quiet and you could roam around the hotel and take it all in. I can see why it is utilised for weddings, as the hotel is massive and has all of the facilities that you would need. I travelled from Dublin Airport on the 717 (J J Kavanagh) coach and it was just a short walk to the hotel from MacDonagh Junction. Right by the coach stop is a shopping centre which includes clothes, beauty and food. From the hotel, it is a short walk over the river bridge into the centre where there are many bars, restaurants and cafes. Most of the bars have live music each night, which was extremely enjoyable listening to the old classics. I really enjoyed Lanigans Bar which served food and Guinness at very reasonable prices. It's also a short walk to Kilkenny Castle, which is very picturesque and worth a visit. My whole stay in Kilkenny was fantastic and the people there are so friendly.
Nothing.

Exceptional presentation and fantastic stay - room was very spacious, bed very comfortable, facilities and conveniences excellent, restaurant onsite food was exceptional, hotel was exceptionally furnished and decorated - absolutely spectacular. Highly recommend this hotel. Staff allowed us to leave car in their onsite car park till later in the afternoon so we could wander around town and the Kilkenny castle before we headed off on our journey later in the afternoon. Hotel right in the Main Street area handy to everything and easy to walk to many tourist attractions. Entertainment and food in restaurant was fantastic All staff very very friendly and helpful . A fantastic place to stay
Nothing it was all wonderful

Overall a decent place, central to the city with (included) parking, which makes it perfect for a one or two night stay. The room was extremely nice - we were in the back area away from the street and any pub noise. The room was well sized with a seating area (couch, table, chair) and a large bathroom. Decent selection of channels on the tube, wifi good, comfortable bed - checks all the boxes for a pleasant short city-centric stay.
We primarily stayed here because of the restaurant, which turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the stay as the food selection was minimal and the overall quality not as expected based on the advertising

The hotel is exceptionally beautiful, and perfectly located. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and beautifully decorated. The staff were out of this world, very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was lovely. The food and service was wonderful.
Very low water pressure in the shower, it wasn’t really enjoyable at all. The Tv in the room was quite complicated to use and didn’t respond to the remote very well. We were also plagued by false fire alarms (at least three times during our two day stay), and while the hotel had a reasonable explanation, it really did mar the stay, being woken up by a blaring false fire alarm at 2am (and other times). That said, I would stay here again once the issue is sorted.

The hotel is in a fantastic location—just a 5-minute walk from the train station and close to restaurants and major landmarks. The live music added a great atmosphere, and the restaurant staff were excellent, providing attentive and friendly service.
The room could use some upgrades. The heater wouldn’t go above 18°C , for reference-nighttime temperatures were around 7°C. The overhead shower head sprayed water all over the bathroom, making a mess. Additionally, the toilet required multiple attempts—often around 10—to flush properly.

Great location, excellant staff - very accomodating, good food, great atmosphere in the bar. Great mix of music played in the bar. An older property where the owners have made great efforts to modernise while maintaining some character. Would definitely visit again.
Parking is limited at the location. Had to park off-site. The bathrooms in the bar area could have used more attention. I do appreciate this is more difficult to manage on a busy night. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, however there was a smell like a previous occupant had smoked in the room.

The Hotel is outstandingly luxurious, a real gem in the city. The location is central, perfect to visit Kilkenny, everything is a few minutes away on foot. Everything from reception, the bars, restaurants, bedrooms is just perfect. The bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed, kettle for tea making and complimentary water. I stayed in a garden suite and there was a big window that overlooked the garden which was really nice to have, together with a comfy armchair and a coffee table. A desk was also there, where you can find maps of the city and helpful information. Definitely going to go back if I get the chance!
The pressure of the shower was really low.

The bed and room were very comfortable, they seem to have thought of the things like accessible sockets , even usb ports and a reading light by the bed which is very handy. The hotel is quirky and gorgeous and you can tell it is well run. Food is superb and breakfast cooked to order. Staff were all lovely and friendly.
The hotel is a bit of a rat maze and it was difficult to find reception and get to the room, we had to walk through a crowded bar several times. Once you know where you are going its fine and easy but we made the mistake of dragging bags through the crowded bar backwards and forwards. Recomend checking in, finding the room and then getting bags from the car once you know where you are going.

Ample parking that is on site, which unusual in a city centre location such as this. A great bar that had lots of vibe. I stayed in a Garden room which had nice public areas on approach to the building. The room itself was exceptional, with many premium appointments along with a very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The view from the room was in to the garden and made it feel like I was not a city at all.
The lobby of the building my room was in had no acoustic treatment so it is very loud and bright. Any activity outside in the lobby or on the staircase can be heard clearly in the room and is the only reason I gave this hotel 9 instead of 10. If they could solve this little issue, It would be the best city centre hotel I have stayed in, in Ireland.

My stay at Langton's was for three nights as a solo traveller. I had a wedding in the hotel which I'd been hired to photograph. Upon arrival, the parking was easy to find and the staff were incredibly friendly at check-in. The room (one of the garden view suites) was clean, well furnished and very comfortable for the entirety of my stay. The location of the hotel is right in the centre of Kilkenny with all the main shops, cafes, restaurants and tourist attractions within a 10-15 minutes easy walk. The bar and restaurant were both brilliant and every single staff member I met was incredibly friendly. I'd highly recommend Langton's to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the centre of Kilkenny.
