We really enjoyed relaxing on our lovely balcony while watching and listening to the abundance of birds flitting through the tree tops. The room was a good size and very comfortable. It was more like staying in someone’s home rather than a hotel. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was very good. While Chithirapuram might seem out of the way, this hotel is only about a 10 minute walk to the junction (or R40 with a tuk tuk). From there is a local bus every 15 minutes that goes into the centre of Munnar for R23. And it is one of the very best bus rides ever!

While there is a fridge in the room, the power to it switches off when the key is removed from the slot. So the fridge contents are not kept cool if you are out for the day.

- Extremely helpful staff. They helped us with delayed luggage and organised transport for us for whole stay (3 days) - Another good thing is the cook and the food they serve - it was delicious. We had all dinners there. And the last day we were very positively surprised by the cost of what we ate. Breakfast was also amazing… every day something new. - Spacious rooms with balconies. - Very quiet location (you will admire this after few days in India) - Nice interior - Good location to visit local attractions (but you need to have transport organised)

It is not completely a home stay as owners don't live there . It is a 6 bedroom villa professionally managed. Manager manoj came in touch with us since I booked the tickets. We were 6 of us together and had nice private space to play cards, have dinners . Food is very tasty made to order. Joel is very young and friendly support.. selvaraj was very nice and always ready to serve. Clean rooms.

Hot water is not good. Bed size is worse than queen size . Very difficult for 2 adults to sleep. View also.nothing great. You get to see only.the property from.balcony and nothing more.

Hotel located in lovely place a bit away from the city but view from our balcony was worth it. Room was big with lots of space and big bathroom. Shower with hot water. Reception guy is irreplaceable and keeps this place going perfectly.

Noise. You can't sleep at night because of other guests slamming doors and talking loud. Menu with Indian food only so if you want to eat something not spicy be prepared to look for it in Munnar.

We were lucky enough to get a deal on this property... It's a gorgeous villa situated near the Munnar bypass. We got to choose the front facing bedroom which had a lovely view of the garden and forest ahead.. The rooms are small but luxurious.. It's not a palace but the villa definitely gives you that kind of a feel.

You may not get a valley or tea plantation view from balcony from the rooms BUT still it is just 5min walk to these places

everything is clean nice and wonderful, the food , the staff …. the service …. the rooms are spacious, clean , very well equipped…. with balcony….and the sounds of nature surrounding you at night and birds waking you up in morning….absolutely fabulous….all is perfect….I highly recommend this place in Munnar.

Staffs are very friendly and cooperative especially the manager Mr Manoj and the cook Selvaraj. They will make you feel at home. Location is too good -beautiful, serene - you can feel nature everywhere. Thanks a lot for an amazing hospitality.

The Hotel is located at a beautiful point facing the valley. The campus is decorated with flowers and trees which sets the atmosphere of peace and comfort. The accessories in the rooms were marked with sanitization tags, which added to the feeling of safety. The staff, Mr Manoj (Manager) and Mr. Selvaraj (Chef) treated us like a family. Mr Manoj accompanied us walking to nearby markets and recreational activity points and made our journey easy. Selvaraj cooks delicious food (lemon rice, kerala chicken curry, parotha are a must try) and serves it with motherly love. The overall experience was like meeting old friends and family and felt like we knew each other for years. The one thing which I will cherish for my life is that Mr. Manoj taught me to drape the Mundu, the traditional Kerala lungi. During my entire stay at Munnar, I was always dressed in a Mundu, and even after reaching my hometown I dont feel like wearing anything else.. :p

The only sad point is that the hotel is situated a bit into the interiors and once you are in, you cant get out without a vehicle, as the access road is quiet and lonely.

breakfast was nice and the room also except that we asked for 2 simples beds per room before booking, they gently answer yes; but when we arrived at Chithirapuram palace we discover that they did have simple bed only double. so for friends travelling toghther this place is not convenient

The hotel is 15 mins outside the main market of Munnar so it’s quite peaceful and quiet there. The staff is very helpful. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. The manager of the property, Mr Manoj, arranged a driver and a car for us for sightseeing. The staff also arranged a cake for my parents’ wedding anniversary. The breakfast spread was yummy too. Overall, we had a great time!
