This Aparthotel as great. Well furnished, great layout. You get more than a hotel room but not quite a full apartment but with all the ammenities like a small kitchen, living room and bedroom combined. Surprisingly it worked. There is also a shared laundry space which is welcome. The staff are very friendly, speak English and eager to help. Clean, comfortable, recommended.

I wasn’t sure about the location. I booked in winter and it got dark about 4pm and freezing. I didn’t feel that safe waking along the street of the hotel toward the main part of town but the other end was great and full of restaurants and generally an interesting area.

Absolutely loved my stay in this amazing studio apartment. It was a great size, very clean, super quiet given the location street side - soundproofing works very well, cozy, comfortable, perfectly located 10 - 12 minutes walk from Munich Hbf & about 20 to Altstadt. Apartment is well fitted out, very comfy bed & has the best shower / hot water pressure. Given how well organised & run this place is, I didn't need to interact too much with the staff, but when I did they were all super friendly. Highly recommend as an option for your Munich stay, I would definitely stay again. Only very slight 'con' is no English TV channel other than news. But I just put some music on instead.

I visited Munich for work from May 1-11, 2025 and stayed at Schwan Locke for the entirety of my trip. As a late 30’s woman traveling alone and to Munich for the first time, I wasn’t always sure what to do or how to navigate the city. The staff at Schwann Locke were so incredibly helpful, with everything from figuring out how to navigate things in my apartment that were new to me (laundry, lighting, towel rack), to finding restaurants, to purchasing train tickets, to helping me figure out what souvenirs I might being home as gifts. They were kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the city. While everyone on staff helped, I also want to single out a few members of their team who were especially supportive. First, Stefan and Demis were often present in the afternoons and evenings during my trip. Their level of hospitality cannot be matched, and I’ve never stayed anywhere in my years of international travel where I experienced such a high level of courtesy and care. In addition, Dejan, one of the staff members who regularly worked overnight, was equally hospitable and made me feel very safe staying there. Like Stefan and Demis, Dejan was also incredibly thoughtful in his recommendations and conversation. Schwan Locke has someone in the lobby area 24 hours a day, so if there is anything a guest needs or any issues, someone is there to help. From my experience, Dejan was there most evenings. While I didn’t frequently come home late, I did have some very early mornings and I was always pleasantly greeted. I also got help arranging an early morning taxi ride to the airport. Throughout my stay, I spent a decent amount of time in the lobby area and also saw the Schwan Locke staff interact with lots of other guests. They were always polite, professional, patient, and helpful. In other words, I don’t think my experience there was unique compared to other guests, and yet, it was incredibly unique to me when compared to other places I’ve stayed. Rooms were also wonderful.

Great location within walking distance to the main Train Station and many of Munich's attractions such as the old city with its churches and Beer Halls. Very comfortable, lots of room and the cooking facilities are a bonus.

The combination microwave /oven toaster had no instructions so we never used it. Not a big deal as the hotplate and pots and pans provided were sufficient for us.

Room had bright, modern decor, comfortable separate sitting area, good Wi-Fi, good soundproofing windows, adequate cooking and washing facilities. Location was very handy for subway station. We arrived early and asked to drop off luggage but were very pleased to be given access to room some hours ahead of normal check in time. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room smelled of cooking from some previous occupants making it necessary to keep window open for most of the time. Due to short length of stay (4 days) no housekeeping was provided, making it necessary for us to dispose of our rubbish ourselves in hotel’s bin area. The streets surrounding the hotel were probably not the most beautiful in Munich.

We had a wonderful stay. We arrived rather early but were able to leave our luggage in the premise. Front line staff ( Stefan .. Hope I got his name right!) was really polite and friendly… and helpful..really excellent customer service! Room is small but clean with a balcony, has a nice decor, and bed was really comfortable. Would be nice if room slippers were provided. They do have washing machine for laundry (free I think?) but not in the apartment we stayed. Schwan Locke is a 10-15min easy walk from Munich HBF.

I liked the modern design and comfort of the apartment. I slept like a baby, and it was really convenient for exploring the city. Additionally, the fact that it is quite close to the railway station was a bonus, as I had to travel to Nuremberg for a day.

The personnel weren't very polite. I arrived significantly earlier, around 11 am, and asked if it would be possible to have an early check-in. I was told that if it were possible, they would call or text me—a standard response, which was fine. However, when I returned at 4 pm, I was informed that only one room was available, on the first floor, and it smelled a bit stuffy. This was surprising, as they had given a better room to a person who was before me and staying for just one night, while my reservation was for seven nights. After a brief argument, I was given another room, which showed it wasn't the last available room. Later that evening, I saw a group of tourists checking in and heading to the third floor. I don't appreciate being lied to

Central location with mostly hotels nearby but very close to the U-Bahn and within walking distance from lots of other activities (that is if you don’t mind a 30min walk). However if you are here during Oktoberfest then it would be an amazing location! The rooms had so much more life than standard hotel rooms and it was a super chic place! We loved the use of coffee from local roasteries and super friendly and welcoming staff. We also loved the kitchenette that came with the room, with all the items we would have needed if we wanted to cook during our stay.

It would have been nice to have more control over the room temperature or other blanket options since we found it to be a bit hot during the night but too noisy if we left the window open.

Schwan Locke is in a very convenient location – just a 10-minute easy walk to Munich Central Station (HBF) and about 20–25 minutes on foot to the city center, while still being a peaceful place. It’s close enough to explore the city. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, featuring a kitchen for cooking, a cozy seating area, and everything you might need – including coffee and tea. The bed was also comfortable. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the large balcony terrace with the furniture and views over the city rooftops, and the building itself has a beautiful inner courtyard, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating. During our second stay, we arrived quite early, but we were kindly allowed to leave our luggage on-site. We were also upgraded to a better studio apartment than we originally booked for the second stay. It was great! The value for money was excellent. Still, we would highly recommend Schwan Locke as a great accommodation option in Munich Munich stay, I would definitely stay again.

The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast - could be better.

We are a family of four, so we booked two adjacent studios. The rooms were comfortable, although smaller than what was shown in the pictures. The wifi was excellent, as well as hot water in the shower. The kitchenette had everything needed for a short stay. The hotel is very close to the metro and plenty of tram stops, and very close to the train station and taxis. There are many supermarkets and shops nearby. The staff is very friendly. The price is very good for Munich standards.

The room was very hot and there was no way to fix the room temperature. There was no collection of waste and nobody came to change our towels during our 4-night stay. The area looked a bit unsafe at night.
