The hotel is located in a quiet area. Besides, with its soundproof walls, a good night of sleep won’t be something hard to get here, which is something I value a lot. The staff was great in any occasion I needed them and allowed me to check-in past 10pm. There’s a pretty nice bar downstairs at the hotel, that provides you with some snacks and drinks without needing to leave the place if you’re tired. That’s also a plus. The bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom was pretty great too, even though it wasn’t that big.

There’s only two small reasons that don’t allow me to go higher than the 8/10. First the lights. Not everyone can sleep through the morning lights and need a fully dark room to stay asleep. In my case, no matter what I did and how I tried to close the curtains at full capacity, there was too much light coming in at 7 in the morning, waking me up without needing to. Second, the AC. My room hadn’t a real AC as it was much more of a building built heater/air controller which only worked at exact times and not when I wanted it to work. I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. Never too hot or cool, but I’d like to have the chance to turn it up and off as I like.

Check-in and check-out were smooth, making the arrival and departure hassle-free. The underground parking included in the price was a great convenience. The hotel has a great location, making it easy to explore the city. I loved the cozy corner rooms, and the staff kindly accommodated my request for the same type of room again. One of the absolute highlights was the bed—it was incredibly comfortable, with the best mattress I’ve ever slept on!

I love the eco-friendly approach and don’t mind skipping the cleaning during my stay, so instead of housekeeping, guests receive bar coupons, and the selection of drinks available in exchange could be better. Additionally, the room lacked some basic essentials like plates and cutlery, which would have been useful, especially for guests who didn’t have meals included.

The room was large enough to enjoy. We had 3 people and the spare bed didn't end up making the room cramped. We were on the 5th floor and all the facilities were lovely. Enough plugs to power everything for 3 people, lights were great and the bathroom was amazing. The breakfast package for 20 EUR was amazing! The variety and quality so many different options and if you want to have your eggs done a particular way you only need to ask. I was happy with my hard boiled eggs and my children were happy with the scrambled eggs which were there every day.

The only thing that I wasn't quite happy about was the quality of the wifi. We found that the free wifi wasn't really at a speed where I could do some work effectively. As much as I was on holiday I needed to do a small amount of work on several days which I usually like to do quickly and efficiently and I'm reliant on the wifi. Most hotels that I've stayed at have really good internet capabilities such as the one I'm in now. I felt that it could have been better. It slowed down my efficiency which then resulted in me using hotspot on my phone to get work done.

Very clean room, with the necessary amenities one would expect from a 4 star hotel, excellent and diverse breakfast options, good communication with the staff before and during my stay there, though the English of some of the people at the reception desk was rather poor. Overall, good experience

The location is not great. Getting to the hotel from the airport when using public transportation is rather difficult (two S-bahn trains plus either a tramway or a long walk) and the hotel is not very close to any S-bahn or U-bahn stations. For one who enjoys walking long distances, this is not a problem, but for those who do no or are not able to, getting to various parts of Berlin may be a bit difficult. On the last day of my say, I left very early in the morning (5 am) and, as I had breakfast included in the stay, I was expecting some sort of travel breakfast to pick up at the reception desk when I left. This was not the case. I did not explicitly request it, but my experience with other hotels was that I would receive it even without a previous request.

We liked everything and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everything was easy and smooth. Great location, welcoming and professional staff. Spacey room, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds. A lot of mirrors, mini fridge, and all other things needed (thick curtains, kettle, coffee, tea, water, hair dryer, good quality toiletries, etc). There's also a small shop in a lobby with snacks, sweets, sandwiches, water, juices, etc. That's very practical when coming back from the night out. A huge plus is check-out time (noon/ 12:00 PM)- that's one of the main reasons we booked this accommodation. I am sure I will be back to this hotel, and that I will check other hotels from this hotel chain. Thanks for everything!

We liked everything, but just heads-up in case this info is important to some people: there is a construction work next to the hotel (we didn't mind about it because windows are soundproof, and in general it wasn't so noisy).

Very nice hotel just couple of tram stops from Alexanderplatz, and in Berlin trams are very very reliable so no problem going to and from hotel around Fridriksheine. Staff is nice and helpful and they all speak english. Rooms are spacious enough for two people, beds are comfy with enough pillows and it is suprisingly quiet but being close to Fridriksheine hospital and on the edge of Fridriksheine next to a park I guess that is no surprise.

Not that I didn`t like but I couldn`t figure out the system of room cleaning. Yes there is now in every hotel save the environment moment with not changing towels every day and not cleaning every day it is perfectly fine by me, so first day I put a sign that there is no need for cleaning and for that I was awarded with coupon for a drink at the bar (nice touch really) but second day I put the sign in the morning and nobody cleaned the room, and i mean ok, no big deal, but third day i didn`t put any sign and the cleaning lady went into the room, said hello, saw that we are still in bed and went out. I mean really, no big deal, everything is fine, it is just that couldn`t figure out the system that made me kinda confused.

Comfortable and well equipped

They didn't change the sheets, none of our 6 days and by the end they charged us 5% extra because the German government had changed the tax laws, which was ok for us to pay but they have never informed us about that (they could have easily done it at reception or via email - because the law changed while we were staying there). Also when we said that they have never changed sheets they seem to not care, like ok we will check (but we were at the check out anyway).

The location was exactly what we were looking for; near transportation, and within walking distance of a park. The concierge and desk staff were extremely polite and helpful. They got us checked in as soon as they could; they held our bags for us when we arrived early; and, they ordered taxis for us in the morning.

Our shower tiles could have been cleaner, but maybe the staff cleans it better when not rushed to get us checked in. We had difficulty working the overhead shower. It just sprayed everywhere no matter the angle, so we used the smaller handheld. The night staff assured us that our group of 12 did not need to pre-request a morning taxi, but in the morning, it took us 45 minutes to get the first taxi and another 30 minutes to get the second one. The only reason we did not miss our train is because we started an hour earlier than we needed to and our train was 40 minutes delayed.

Good sized rooms with great facilities, and wonderfully comfortable beds! Loved the shop in the foyer for drinks and snacks, and the hotel is in a great location to catch the tram to the end of Berlin. The fridge in the room was perfect to buy milk for us avid tea drinkers!

An iron in the room would have been handy, and a slightly more extensive room service menu (or even a way to order room service as we failed to get it to work and ordered out). The fact that getting uber eats or similar to deliver to the hotel was great on the evening we had exhausted ourselves with sightseeing, so I'd almost suggest room service is not needed.

I enjoyed the large room in the sixth floor with free view over the roofs of East Berlin. Separating the room from bath and wardrobe with an internal door is a great idea, since it also protects against noise from the corridor. I was impressed by the huge choice and the high quality of the breakfast buffet. Could be a model for other hotels to follow.

The name "NH Berlin-Alexanderplatz" is a bit misleading, since the hotel is not so close to Alexanderplatz. It takes a trip by taxi or tramway to get there from Alexanderplatz. To walk, it's too far. More appropriate might be "NH Berlin Friedrichshain".
