We stayed in the family room which had a main bedroom with a joined bedroom for our student daughter - which she relished as it had a door and protected her from our snores! The Breakfast was lovely as our hosts provided us with a range of homemade jams to accompany a selection of breads - the homemade yoghurt was delicious! The hosts are very friendly and were able to share ideas of places to visit. La Heraudiere is only a short 5 min drive from Tours where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from for an evening meal. Tours is a bustling city with some wonderful attractions and well worth exploring

I gave a 10 because everything exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was delicious and varied, a great way to start the day. The hosts were incredibly kind, always available, polite, and welcoming – they made us feel right at home. The house is beautiful, with a stunning outdoor area that feels like a peaceful countryside escape in the heart of the city. It's also very close to the city center and easily accessible by public transport. A truly special place – I would definitely return!

Love the house and garden. Our bedroom was in the oldest part of the property with its own entrance. Huge room and lovely en-suite. Really comfortable bed. Great breakfasts and a host &hostess who were really helpful and informative about the area. Easy to get onto main transport links. Electric vehicle charging (extra cost) at the house was very convenient.

A little out of the way for restaurants unless prepared for ten minute walk plus a tram ride. Otherwise not much to dislike!

First impression - the house is beautiful and soooo French! The gateway into the property's parking area is a bit narrow and the parking area, particularly as we had a trailer, was very tight. The room was characterful, beautifully furnished and very authentic, but with modern touches. We loved our stay here and although we had trouble finding a bus stop into town, we're so glad we persevered, as Tours was buzzing with lots of bars and restaurants.

The property was charming! Beautiful old house, magnificently kept with a lovely garden. About 15 min walk to the tram station or 3 km if you like walking to town centre, this was easy access to lively Tours centre. The bedroom was very comfortable and well appointed with a spotless bathroom and a nice shower. The bed was particularly comfortable. the breakfast was rich, homemade and good!

Characterful old property with lovely garden. Welcoming host who provided us with detailed information about the area, even had tram tickets that we could purchase. It is a 10 minute walk to the tram and then takes about 15mins on the tram to get to town. We stayed in the garden room which was perfect. The bed was comfy and the towels were super soft. We were so lucky that the weather was sunny and enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden. Private parking is provided in the garden area. This is an old property and therefore the decor is very appropriate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location was very convenient - access was simple from the autoroute and Google Maps helped us find the property with ease. The setting is delightful and very peaceful. The breakfast was wonderful - delicious pastries and jams, and gorgeous home-made yogurt. When we arrived, tired after a long drive, our host, Dominique, very kindly booked a restaurant for us and drove us there - above and beyond the call of duty! We stayed in a beautiful, character-full room, which was extremely comfortable.

The owners were very attentive and friendly. The property has a nice garden to sit down and enjoy the afternoon after a long day visiting wineries. Everything was clean and breakfast was delicious.

Nothing really. It is not located walking distance from downtown, which was not an issue for us but could be inconvenient if you don’t have a car.

The hosts are wonderful. They couldn’t have been more helpful; knowledgeable of the area, and they went out of their way to make our stay special. The place is absolutely charming. They have an enormous private yard in the midst of an urban setting! Breakfast was good.

The house is a well decorated traditional property on the outskirts of Tours but within an easy tram ride of the centre. Our host was extremely helpful in finding a local garage for us when we had a technical problem with the car. Our hosts were warm and accommodating and the room and bathroom were to a high standard. We had an enjoyable breakfast
