Great location just near the university and docks so less crazy than tourist centre - but a nice easy stroll to get to all the sights. We loved the family room, which had two full size single beds (not the usual tiny sofa bed) for our kids and lots of clever design features to make the space work . The kids loved the pull out privacy screen/room divider, and we appreciated the separate toilet and microwave, fridge & coffee maker. Great underground parking for our fully-laden SUV with bike rack. But we especially appreciated the staff who spoke excellent English and were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. We hope to return!

Slightly confusing to find the entrance to the hotel, but having read the reviews we were ready for this.

Rooms were Impressive! The room was cleverly designed making excellent use of the space available. Was comfortable and modern for one nights stop over for two adults and medium sized kids. Great location next to the many bars and restaurants on the river. And 15 mins walk into the historic centre. Parking was straight forward and secure. We opted not to have breakfast on account of how close everything was. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The central garden our room faced was not very pleasant. Seemed a little work would go a long way to make it more presentable. The property is a little confusing as the IbIs is also part of the same building- but made better sense once we found the reception. Lift is small and busy. Second bed for kids was a sofa bed and not the most comfortable. No milk for our coffee in the morning.

Staff really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and beds lovely and comfy. We had a family room which was big in size with plenty of space. The rooms did look like they have been updated recently. The breakfast was good, especially the scramble eggs and the location of the hotel was perfect for a short stroll into the centre or right opposite the riverside for a nice little walk. We left our car in the underground carpark for €15 a night which felt very secure and convenient

Great size room for our family (2 adults one infant) with useful mini kitchen facilities (including dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine). The room felt recently updated and was spotlessly clean. Within walking distance to the town centre and very close to a local supermarket. Aircon was brilliant as the weather was incredibly hot.

Underground car park was quite tight to drive around. You had to wait a while for the lift during busy times.

We loved the location. It was very quiet from the busy road outside, but also from the guests inside too. The room was very clean and comfortable and as we had stayed last year, we knew what to expect and it was excellent again. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We parked the car and that worked well too.

There were 4 sachets of coffee for 4 people. It would have been god to have 2 or 3 each. Maybe we could have asked for more but there was no sign telling us so. Also some uht milk would have been nice. There was shower gel and shampoo for the shower but we had nothing for the bath. We put some of each in a cup and used that, but it would have been lovely to have had some for the bath.

Nice hotel with a big clean room for our group (family of 3). Good location, a short walk away from the city centre. Helpful and friendly staff at reception.

The Nespresso coffee machine in our room did not work properly. Also, a construction worker entered our room by mistake in the morning (renovations were being carried out at the hotel), which was an unpleasant surprise. The reception staff apologised profusely for this and gave us some free drinks as a compensation.

The parking was okay, the room was great, the breakfast was good but the staff were exceptional: the staff on the night we arrived and those on the morning of our departure could not have been more helpful. I am particularly grateful to the woman at the desk who kindly volunteered to post two letters for us when we had to leave in a hurry to catch our Eurotunnel train.

There was nothing which I didn't like.

Large rooms with sofa, table, microwave, nespresso machine. Great shower with separate WC. Breakfast good and staff helpful. Underground car park. Pleasant 20 minute walk into the historic centre along the river.

We stayed here 3 years ago and the hotel could do with a refresh. €10 euros for a small glass of red wine was more than twice the price at other hotels we stayed at on the same trip.

Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Location was good however it might be worth explaining how close to the restaurants on the river the hotel is when guests arrive as the hotel is in a great location for these once found. I think most people will head for the centre first like we did. The room is one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in, in a hotel. The design was lovely, it was comfortable with brilliant facilities inside.

The staff were very helpful, their English was excellent which was a huge relief as my french is painful. For example, hanging around in the lobby the morning of departure they asked if we wanted any extra pastries left over from breakfast. Kind and sustainable. The hotel has a quirky maritime vibe, but also japanese vibes in rooms, odd, but we liked it. Spacious rooms, tailored to families. The lobby / reception is simple, a bit shabby, but warm.

I almost blacked out trying to park my car in the garage with teeny-tiny spots under the hotel. Never again.
