Staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were great. Natadola Beach is a beautiful beach to be located on. Upon check in we received a room upgrade to a beach front suite which was a lovely surprise and was most appreciated.
We did not find out until we arrived that it is a cashless resort and everything is either booked to your room or you can pay with a card however if paying with a card, it is a 3% surcharge every time. When you check in, the hotel takes a deposit of FJD400 per day to cover the expenses and then sends a letter advising if you have gone over what you have deposited. We were also very surprised how expensive Fiji has become sine our last visit.

The beach access family room was perfect for our family of four. The outdoor bath was roomy and well used by the kids (you can pull a curtain for a bit of privacy). The courtyard day bed and sun loungers were unexpected but were great for relaxing/reading in a bit of shade after a day at the beach. We loved the beach side bura’s - excellent shade at all times of the day and saw plenty of colourful fish off the beach. Staff were really friendly, especially the kids entertainment and reef staff. Breakfast is plentiful, hot and has a good selection. It runs for an extended period which means that it’s not too busy at any one time. There’s a sunset fire lighting ceremony and live music every night, which we really enjoyed. Every single night the singers had great professional standard voices.
There are locals along the resorts beachfront constantly trying sell you services (they’re very persistent and it’s hard to relax with the frequent pushy approaches). If you’re going for a beach swim, trying to relax in a Bura or walking on the path they come up to you or shout up to you - often not taking no thank you as an answer. I found myself avoiding parts of the resort because of this. We’re all for using local services/ supporting the community but the extent and manner of approaches was not comfortable. It would be good if security patrolled near the beach bura’s to discourage the more persistent approaches. You expect premium prices in this kind of resort but even with this expectation we were pretty surprised to receive only 4-chicken wings as the $30fjd bar snack.

Sensational location and facilities . World class beautiful staff. The grounds and spa are out of this world.
Since my last stay, I missed the Pure Fiji mini’s in the bathroom - that had always been a top touch. Also they used to clean and top up your beach foot bowl each day and add a fresh flower - which didn’t happen any more. It was an extra nice touch!

It’s massive and fancy! There’s so much to do, you won’t even need to get out of the hotel premises. I appreciate the attention to the smallest details. The staff are so accommodating and welcoming - all smiles when they see you! Some would even go out of their way just to make you feel valued. You seem them sweating while they work but still ready to flash their winsome smiles and greet you ‘Bula!’
An hour away from the airport.

We know Natadola well hence the location we chose. Pool view room lovely and well kept.
I felt the staff were, comparatively to other places we stayed quite restrained and a bit hard to crack. As an ex GM of large businesses in both Vietnam and Fiji I could detect a sense of reluctance on their part to fully engage. If that is a deliverable approach required by management then I think it is a shame to stifle one of the very things people pay a lot of money to experience, namely the warmth and overt hospitality of them as a people.

Overall everything was wonderful! The hotel area is large and there are many activities. The staff was exceptional, everyone was extremely kind and heart-warming. Breakfast was good, we really liked the fresh juice station and the cucumber-celery-ginger juice every morning.
For this price, the food could be a little better. In addition, the hotel is a little outdated and could do a renovation. We were also disappointed that booking stated that there were 3 pools. In reality, there are only 2 pools and the third one (the one that is mainly advertised in the pictures, with the best view) can be used only by club intercontinental customers.

We took our eight month old baby on holiday to the Intercontinental and it did not disappoint! We loved the room (the pool facing room was a bit noisy, but that's to be expected), the staff were so helpful and lovely and the resort is stunning. We loved being so close to Natadola beach and the wonderful cabanas to watch the sun setting over the water. The buffet breakfast was delicious too.
It's to be expected but the food options are pretty expensive. We also would've loved if the main restaurant opened earlier than 5.30 as our baby went to sleep early. The room was slightly rundown but not too bad.

Well appointed facilities with excellent staff and service levels. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was excellent and good value for money, especially for young families. Fantastic that unlimited coffees were included at breakfast. Each night had different brilliant musicians and vocalists providing the perfect soundtrack for an entertaining but laid-back vibe playing popular songs that everyone could recognise and sing-along to. Rooms were beautiful, clean, spacious enough for young families. SPA Intercontinental was a highlight. We would highly recommend the couples spa package (it was exceptional), and the kids loved the Kids Club in the meantime. The pool was just perfect for young families. All children from ages 5 to 8 could stand up throughout the pool and were entertained with lunchtime Hermit Crab Races and many more activities within the resort.
Prices of drinks (still very expensive). Air-conditioning couldn’t be altered to make the rooms cooler. Temperature in the rooms should be able to be lowered (23.5 degrees celsius was the coolest we could strive for overnight).

Beautiful resort, staff are amazing. Views over Natadola beach are amazing and grounds are lush. I had a very private ground floor room away from the hustle and bustle of the main area, great for relaxing on the outdoor day bed on a quiet courtyard away from the noise, but a little bit of a walk to get anywhere in the resort ie restaurants, pools etc, however that was completely fine with me as the grounds were lush with a pond, tree lined pathways with beautiful colourful flowers and plenty of local birdlife to stroll past. There were two restaurants available for breakfast, a family friendly buffet and an adults only restaurant serving a la carte. Whilst I thought I would prefer the more upmarket adult only restaurant, where the views from this restaurant win hands down, situated right by the beach, the family friendly buffet for breakfast definitely offered a more relaxed vibe for breakfast, with much more selection. The view over the water feature and lawn area were still nice! There are three restaurant options for dinner, offering a variety of food such as buffet, a fine dining restaurant with a degustation menu and a mid-range a la carte option. I found the best options for great food were fresh fish, local produce were top notch. I suggest trying out some of the more traditional Fijian items on the menu! Facilities were great, the pools were clean, there were plenty of sun loungers and shade umbrella's around the pool. I went on the guided snorkel adventure which was amazing and I highly recommend. The spa was an amazing experience, with hydrotherapy and steam room available for use with every spa service booked. The ambience each evening was lovely around the pool and bar/lounge with live Fijian music during sunset, and local very talented musicians providing entertainment during dinner service. Can't wait to go back!
Nothing I didn't like, however my trip coincided with a large private event that was staying at the resort. Unfortunately this meant that at times certain facilities were unavailable due to the event having booked the whole area. One night one of the restaurants was booked out for their event and unable to be utilised by other guests, and another night they were having a private event at the bar lounge on the lawns and beach area that it opens out onto, so unfortunately that area was closed off to other resort guests. Wasn't a big deal at all, as plenty of other food options, and plenty of other spots on the beach or around the pool to continue to lounge with cocktail / bar service and live music.

Everything was perfect. The room, staff, food etc. We loved how helpful everyone was and also the great vegetarian/vegan options they offer. Food and cocktails are not overpriced and lots of variety. You can order food from nearly anywhere in the resort which is awesome. We did the snorkelling trip which was great too, definitely want to be a confident swimmer if going on a choppy day though!
Unfortunately had to remove a star as me and my partner picked up food poisoning on the last day. Had a traumatic flight home vomiting and hot/cold flush and feeling dizzy. I have contacted them about this but no response yet. Certainly got it from the breakfast or dinner the night before. Must of been down to unhygienic preparation of some food.
