Loved the building itself. Beautiful decoration. The beds were comfy and private, with plug sockets and lights. The garden area was very pleasant to sit in. Also do the walking tour!!

The food wasn’t amazing for the price, however breakfast was excellent. Also if you stay in a dorm by the road, be aware that the noise is very loud (of course this can’t be helped by the hostel)

It’s a very beautiful historical place. I enjoyed reading the history of this building and its owners. You feel as padr of the unique place living there. The hotel and rooms are very nice. There are inner garden and bar with table tennis and billiard. Bed was big and comfortable. Clean and spacious room. FRIENDLY and helpful stuff. They help to arrange a night taxi for 25$ to airport. Also you can book a tour with theirs help. We enjoyed out tour to Cotopaxi. Breakfast available for 5$. It’s basic Ecuadorian breakfast with fruits, eggs, bread, butter and coffee/tea. Also they have a menu for affordable price. Nothing special, but simple and eatable.

It’s an old city center. So, it was noisy at night because of the police sounds or street fights. You definitely need earplugs. And hotel have plenty of them on reception 😉

Quito is an easy base to get to other parts of Ecuador so I stayed at this hostel about 4 times, while leaving my big bag behind each time, which was kept safely in storage. The staff are absolutely great! Everyone from reception, kitchen and bar, maintenance, cleaning and management etc go above and beyond to help out with a big smile and were always kind and helpful. Grace at reception even helped me call an airline on her day off, when I had some questions about a flight. Big thanks to all of the staff at Viajero Quito! The location is great, it’s in an older part of Quito and there’s things to do around the area plus it’s close to a metro station, making it easy to travel around to other areas too. Viajero also offer free morning walking tours. It’s a big hostel but also feels cozy and it has common areas, an outside garden and plenty of smaller areas too, if you wanted space on your own. The hostel has free drinking water filters to use, hot showers, the beds are very comfy and the rooms are clean and the building has nice artwork throughout. If I’m ever back in Quito, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The only downside is that there is no kitchen that guests can use. With that being said, there is a restaurant which serves breakfast (including good pancakes!), lunch and dinner. There is also a microwave for guests to use and the kitchen/bar staff kindly offer cutlery, bowls/plates etc, if you have your own food to eat.

Amazing !!! 2nd time in a hostel but this is 1st class for sure Loved the set up and it was quiet and amazing [they offer free ear plugs if you need] Unlimited coffee and in the morning you get cocoa yummy Ultra comfy and clean. The restaurant food really great and reasonable. Amazing position in the old town. Definitely will go back.

Showers need a mat as it was slippery and also better to step on a mat when you exit shower The basin needs a towel or something to dry hands instead of running back to get your towel. You need to hire a towel. Doesn't make sense. Rather provide it. What does it cost? However it is only $2. Stop theft I guess. Amazing place.

Great place to stay in Quito! Good location in the historical center, beautiful space with a nice garden. Very nice rooms for an affordable price. In the evening there are many free activities which are very fun! (Cooking class, beer tasting, salsa dancing etc.) The staff is very nice! Also the food in the restaurant is great with reasonable prices, and the beer they brew there is great!

The noise isolation is not that great so you can hear people in other rooms and people walking outside the room. It didn't bother us that much but if you're a light sleeper it could

The friendly staffs, they are very helpful for travelers. special my flight back to Maimi was 6.am. the hostel is about an hour driving from the airport, so I need to leave the hostel around 3.30 am , the night staff he was very professioanl to check my Urber car is the right car that came for me ( I was travel myself alone), I really appreciated what he did to me. It happened on Sept 28th morning in Quito.

I think they missing a working station for the traveller who need to do some computer tasks. they do have one space in one of the corner whre is an open area. Music and wind coming in where I don't feel good working in that area.

The hostel is right at the historic center, six minutes on foot to the San Fransisco square and metro station. The staff is very friendly and most helpful. The room was convenient spacious with a windowfront to the lovely backyard. The breakfast is comprehensive and suits the price.

Even if it is not the hotel's fault, the 3-4 power cuts per day by the electricity supplier are inconvenient, especially in the evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. As soon as it rains again and the dams get filled, the problem will be solved. Hot water is available all day despite power cut.

The atmosphere, architecture, decorations, paintings, comfortable bed, the lights in the room, wooden floor, garden view from the vindow, beautiful garden, helpful staff, ladies in the restaurant, breakfast with 2 choices and different everyday. activities arranged if you'd like to join, lots of common areas, purified water, etc. Great location in historic center, We felt happy and comfortable, and they care about what you need. On our first night we had a concern but following morning, they apologized nicely.

Internet disconnected frequently in the room. I wish there was hot water, Quito was cold.

Everything about the hostel was excellent. Although breakfast wasn't included, it was offered at a reasonable $4/day. Our room was huge was a giant balcony overlooking the main roads. Beds and linens super comfortable. Bathroom spacious. Front reception Natalie was amazing. Free walking tour was excellent.

The crime right outside the door. My phone was snatched out of my hand while i got out of a taxi. I didn't like having to go all the way down to the bottom of the buildings bar to fill up my waterbottle

The building was amazing. Beautiful, clean heritage site. The beds in the dormitories had their own lights and shelf for charging and curtains around them. Good size storage locker for each bed too. The dormitory showers had proper hot water and water pressure; a delight after a month in Ecuador with neither of each.

My key to my dormitory didn't work and the staff couldn't get theirs to work. We had to wait for another guest to get into dormitory 308. When I first tried to leave I couldn't get out of reception as there was no button near the doors to leave. I had to wait for a staff member to return to be let out. It felt like an escape room. 😆
